I had to pop in for a quick bite to eat on a rainy day. I went for some basics because why not? I really enjoyed the curry puffs. They had a hint of sweetness in them. They came with a side of cucumber sauce which was good too. I also went for some simple French fries which were tasty and a good portion. My server was nice and everything was timely. I went there on a Tuesday during the lunch rush. The place was packed but we got some good seating. They have televisions and large windows. It's a sweet gem near VCU. Not my favorite Thai basil friend rice, I've had better. I've never seen it this dark before which should've told me something. The shrimp was good though. I got Thai Basil Fried Rice, no bell peppers, add tomatoes. I wouldn't recommend. read more

Got this for take out. Prices honestly not bad and doesn't charge a take out fee like other places do, which is why we went with this options. Got here super quickly. I got pad cee ew, the flavor was great. I think it was solid, but the noodles were definitely over cooked and gummy... but maybe that is because it steamed a little extra in the take out container to get here? Idk... but definitely a solid choice for Thai! read more

Another 5 stars bc dang!!!! the best! We got the drunken noodles with crispy chicken (game changer), and the panang curry with chicken. I love the curry sauce so much I poured it over my noodles and chicken and I think the neighbors might have heard me exclaiming about how good it was. The spice level is perfection (if you like spicy). Didn't have to add anything to it and my mouth was busting with the happy spice buzz. We've been to Crazy Thai twice recently before attending shows at the Altria Theatre. They have outstanding happy hour prices on drinks, and the house Chardonnay was quite good. Their food is outstanding. The spring rolls were good, but the fried gyoza were divine. I ordered the green curry with chicken and shrimp. The portion was generous and included 5 large perfectly cooked shrimp as well as a lot of thinly sliced chicken. The curry had a nice kick and the veggies were cooked yet still had a crunch. The orange cake is big enough to share, and although it's very simple, the orange jelly topping has a refreshing citrusy flavor. I highly recommend this restaurant. read more

I really wish Yelp gave the option for half stars because I'd give this place 3.5/5 stars. The inside seating is pretty bare but the outdoor patio has beautiful ambiance. I like that they serve water in a tumbler glass so it stays nice and cold. My fiancé and I ordered the beef pad Thai. We both felt the beef was a little chewy and maybe low quality meat. But the noodles, sauce and flavor were really good. I got a spice level of 3 out of 5. At first it didn't seem spicy enough so I asked for some dry pepper seasoning which added a great kick. We won't necessarily be rushing back but it's a solid neighborhood Thai spot. The staff were friendly and attentive. read more

I literally have an addiction to Thai food. I order from this place at least once every two weeks and it never disappoints flavor wise. I wish the portions were larger for the price and I will admit that sometimes they give you more juice than protein and vegetables. I'll still always come back! read more

After being recommended by my boss, I finally tried their food via takeout. Pretty standard Thai food but unfortunately nothing stood out for me to want to go back. The green curry with beef was solid with your typically strong coconut flavors and a good mix of beef, peppers, and bamboo shoots. The accompanying rice was also a little burnt and overcooked at the edges. The seafood fried rice was pretty tasty but their shrimp was a little overcooked. I do appreciate the little chunks of crab meat and the high seafood to rice ratio though! The egg rolls were also very crispy and the wrapping wasn't too thick; however the filling wasn't really seasoned? I wish it had more inherent flavors. read more

I've never been physically to the restaurant but they food is so good . When ever I order from crazy Thai I have to get the thia fried rice and the steamed chicken dumplings. The dumplings sauce is so good I always ask for extra . There dumplings are fresh a and packed with meat . I also get the beef gyoza but I didn't get it because grub hub adds up smh . My thia fried rice was so good , meaty, soft and paired well with the lime and dumpling sauce . I also noticed they had a new dish crazy teriyaki crispy chicken. I ordered that as well to try something different. I was worried with the food being delivered it was going to be saggy but it was not . The chicken was nice and crispy , they put the sauce on the side which was nice . The dish was good but wasn't my only complaint was that it had a little smoky taste to it , it wasn't hurt but the taste was a tad bit strong .l, besides that the food was good read more

Decided to try this place out since I love Thai & it replaced elephant thai. Visited on a Tuesday evening, so it was pretty empty. I met some friends who were ready seated. I ordered Thai fried rice with chicken. It was cooked with tomatoes, which I'm not used to. But it was still good! The space it nice, open concept so it doesn't seem crowded. It seemed like the waitress was rushing us a bit. She came up to us multiple times before we ordered-- but not in a 'checking in' way, more of a 'why aren't you ready yet' way. This continued through the night, she even gave us our check before everyone finished eating & we hadn't asked yet. She then stood on the side waiting for our payments. I'd try the food again -- but as takeout or hopeful I get another server. read more

Very friendly staff we felt welcomed as soon as we walked in. It's tiny inside but very cute they also had outdoor seating. Food was great both my husband and I had red curry it was excellent. My kids had drunken noodles and the chicken sandwich with cucumber salad they all loved it. Great find and hope to be back when in town again. read more

I love Drunken Noodles. But not all noodles are the same. I had a massage downtown and saw this place not far away. I ordered online and drove to pick up. I was waiting for the yelp/grub hub online status to show my food was ready but it never did (only complaint but not about restaurant). I wanted a little bit and went in to pick up my food. You can only enter just inside the door and the Covid situation is on point. The 2 employees I saw both were masked. The restaurant inside was blocked off so just the entryway was open. My food was waiting on the bar sealed up and ready to go and super hot and fresh. When I got home I tore into the noodles and they are the best I've tasted in the Richmond area. Will definitely be back when I'm over by VCU. read more

We picked up takeout and only had to wait a few minutes upon arrival for our order to be ready. The food wasn't piping hot by the time we got home, but I'll blame that on the drive. I had chicken pad Thai and asked for it to be made spicy; I was relieved that they did indeed bring the heat - it was flavorful and delicious. My boyfriend had the green curry burger and curry puffs. He enjoyed both items and would order them again. I'd definitely come back in the future! read more

On a recent trip, I tried their salmon curry and it was incredible. I highly recommend ordering this wholesome and delicious dish. This is a wonderful spot for Thai food.

Fortunately, I kept my receipt after hearing about similar situations happening before. When my statement came in, the charge didn't match. I called the restaurant to resolve the issue, and the floor manager said someone from management or accounting would follow up. Over a week later, I never received a call. I ended up disputing the charge with my bank. What should have been a nice Friday night dinner ended on a frustrating note. Unfortunately, that's what made the experience memorable--and not in a good way.

The entree lacked egg, Chinese, broccoli, and chicken as it was mostly noodles. I felt a bit ripped off. The portion sizes were large so most of us had leftovers for another meal. Personally, I would rather have more toppings other than carbs with a smaller portion. Overall, 3.5/5.
