I've only been to CREAM once before this visit. I was never really a fan because the concept of it made me feel like I could be doing the same thing at home. However, it's always just easier to buy something while you're craving it rather than to make it yourself. Anyway, we were greeted and the staff were friendly. I realized they added lots of different options and not just the sandwich style. I realized I didn't really enjoy CREAM the first time because I just didn't pick a good combination and it turned out way too sweet. if you're trying to watch your weight, think you're full, and/or have no sense of self control, i highly recommend not stepping into this store. cream is great and has an elaborate collection of ice cream flavors and a vast selection of baked goods as well. i was here the other day and my friends had been compelled to create a milkshake. i had no idea how to do it but Kathrine(?) assisted me, pointing me in the direction of which flavors of ice cream and toppings would work well in combination. she helped me create an Oreo Churro milkshake, which i loved as it reminded me of my mans who's not my mans but should be my mans, and Disneyland. however, just be careful as they do try to upsell you with toppings. i wasn't too mad about it since i just added two toppings, but i am sure at 0.75$ a topping, if you get crazy it could be pretty wild and expensive. she was really nice and exuded this energy that was just radiant, as if she is just so excited to be alive, which was very refreshing. long story short, if you have a sweet tooth, i recommend coming here. you get to make your own milkshakes and even dessert tacos like it's couture. self destructive behavior with minimal regret, and all in the name of an Oreo milkshake. read more

Excellent addition to the area. Please don't tell my son's dentist (who is conveniently located across the street), but I bring him here after his appointments to celebrate not having a cavity SHHH! This place is spacious and cute, the workers are pleasant and the ice cream sammiches are consistent. Situated on the same block as Peet's, it's a good place for the kids to get their treats while the adults get their coffee. Ive always loved CREAM & so glad they opened up this location near me. -Super spacey -Lots of staff -Modern atmosphere -Great & warm cookies -Huge variety of ice cream I usually order the green tea ice cream w/snickerdoodle cookie. Today, i tried something new & ordered the toasted almonds w/snickerdoodle cookie. It was delicious, as always! Cream tastes great. Probably my favorite dessert. If i was only ranking the flavor, it would have 5 stars. I dropped it down because i have noticed the price rising and rising for the same product. When the first cream opened up in berkeley i remember going and paying 2.50 per ice cream sandwich. This one came in charging more. I came a month or two ago and it was 3.99. I came last night and now the price is up a dollar to $4.99, Thats double what the price was at cream a couple years ago. This latest dollar raise comes with one thing... free toppings 1. no one ever gets the toppings 2. it is hard enough to eat without making a mess as is, now you add sprinkles that fall everywhere 3. the topping is not worth the added dollar even if you wanted toppings 4. SERIOUSLY, NO ONE wants the toppings. -I did some sample research as i waited in line last night. There were over a dozen people helped with orders, exactly ZERO of them wanted toppings. 0/12 = 0%... the data supports my theory that NO ONE WANTS TOPPINGS, I shouldnt be charged an extra dollar. The workers are very nice and helpful I just feel like they are perpetually understaffed. I have never not waited in a line at this location. Hire more employees. Have a permanet cashier person... they are constantly going from making sandwiches, to cash register, back to making orders... they are de-gloving and re-gloving constantly. read more

This is the best CREAM I've ever been to! Erin helped me, my mom, and brother taste all the flavors we were interested it with a huge smile and an amazing attitude. She was funny and seemed to be really happy to be doing what she does. The cookies for the sandwich were PERFECTLY toasted, not so hot that the ice cream immediately melted, but still warm enough for it to feel freshly baked! I went to Cream last night and not ten minutes after eating there, my stomach started cramping up as I was driving home. By the time I got home I had to race to the bathroom and strip off my clothes since I was sweating profusely. I was dry heaving and repeatedly had horrible diarrhea. Today my stomach feels like it was kicked by a horse and I woke up with a migraine which tells me I was most likely given a regular cookie when I asked for gluten free. Train your staff! For some odd reason my review was taken down, I was downtown to try out the Indian place next to this location. after I was done I came in to get something sweet. The nice young man welcomed me with a big smile. I ask what was one of his favorite flavors. He said the cheese cake was the best one. With out me asking he ran to get me a sample. I had to say it was good. But I was feeling vanilla that day so I asked for a scoop. He complemented my nails and we chatted about them for a few seconds. He also recommended a nail salon near by. He was right they are good. He asked me if I wanted anything els I said no he said have a blessed day. As I'm about to pay this older guy was at the register. The young man forgot to give me a spoon. The men on the register turns over to him and aggressively yells loudly at him about not giving me a spoon. The spoons were right next to me so it wasn't a big deal. That was mean and totally unprofessional. After I was done doing my thing. As I'm making my way to my car I see the young man. He was most definitely crying his eyes bright red. I saw him standing next to the old books store. He was shaking and smoking so I joined him. We had a little chat. He had to go back for a few more hours Hugged him goodbye. He was so sweet so sad to see him treated like that. I just hope he's no longer there and found a job in a cosmetics store as he said that's what he was looking for. This one is centrally located near all the eateries & movie theater. A very spacious location. Nice group of staff. I had a delicious blueberry cheesecake cookie sandwich. We were having dinner in Concord and one of my friends was craving Cream. I knew that there was one in walnut creek but she looked on Yelp and to our surprise there was one right down the street! Definitely newly opened since I know the places in downtown Concord. Their staff is so nice and attentive we had no problem ordering. The picture this yelp page got of their workers are the opposite from what I experienced. The service was of two girls, one served us while the other one served someone else. The girl we got had had Round glasses and she had a totally bad attitude, probably worked many long hours that she's bored of the place. Wasn't welcoming at all cuz she looked at us like 'ugh another customer' and straight up asked "Whatchu want?" When that glasses girl worked on baking our cookie ice cream sandwhich, the other girl finished attending the other customer and made sure we got attended by that other girl. SHE WAS DUH NICEST ONE because she felt welcoming towards us with smiles and reassurance. The glasses girl didn't even smile so that's how you know she was bothered by us for sure. Trust me, I don't care if I get service like that but I know people out there who actually care about attitudes like this one. One second smile would be reassuring at least for me to know that she means well but she was sighing like 'get me out of this place' which I get but damn gurl she needed a break or something. Idk if the business itself is doing her wrong but who knows? The sandwich was bomb though!!! So much better than Berkeley's. Cookie was fresher and soft and the ice cream paired it off great. The ice cream was extremely creamy and delicious and the mini cookies were a little too sweet for my taste. However, the quality is superb and the ice cream scoops are a pretty good value. The store front is tastefully friendly and the staff were extremely attentive. I will defiantly be back and would highly recommend the mini cookie sandwiches if you are looking for a variety of flavors. I am a loyal CREAM customer. I am highly disappointed. This cookie is not completely cooked. It is disgusting. The cookie still has uncooked dough in the middle of it. This is the second cookie requested due to the first cookie being exactly the same. Katherine (the shift lead/Store Manager (her words)) initially did not want to give me the other cookie, however I insisted that I would not eat a half baked cookie. I asked her to please put it back in the oven and she argued me down. She responded, "That's how I cook my cookies sir". I insisted that she please put the cookie back in the oven to continue cooking, and she told me no, that's how all 120 cookies were made. After continuing to argue with me, she finally agreed to put it back in the oven for 1 minute. After receiving the cookie back from Katherine, it was still undercooked. I then took a picture and told her that I could not consume this. She told me that I still had to pay for my ice cream sandwich and I asked for the store managers information. I have to say, my wife and I love this place. However, today my wife and I were severely disappointed in Cream. As normal Cream was packed out the door when we walked in, line snaked area the wall to the door. We could only see one young woman working the line. It seemed at one point she was having issues with the check out machine and went in the back to ask for help. Another young lady with glasses and hat on backwards came out to help but acted like it was a big inconvenience for her. Then returned to the back. When we moved up the line 5-10 minutes later we were able to see in the back. I don't know if it was shift change or what was going on, 4-6 young men and woman were standing around, playing on their phones, dancing, and singing. This was going on while the line kept stacking up. Liked I said normally we love this place, but tonight really made us wonder is Cream is losing it. read more
