I got the kids sized matcha and I wish I went with a much larger size. I feel like with ice cream, there's usually two types of people. You either love soft and creamy or hard and somewhat chewy. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME. Worst experience I've ever had at an ice cream shop. I'm completely disgusted. We tried to come here last Saturday, but they were closed. There was a sign on the door that apologized for being closed, and said if you returned the following week and mentioned said sign, you would get 20% off your next order. Awesome. So we drove back today, one week later. We live about 25 minutes away but we made the trip because we were excited to try this place out, and hey, who's going to pass up 20% off? So we showed up today, about 3 people ahead of us but they weren't too busy. We asked the girl working the register if the NitroFloat was coffee or root beer, because it was next to the affagato (espresso & ice cream). She said the float was also coffee based. She even suggested caramel or chocolate topping to go with it. We ended up just ordering vanilla ice cream to go in it. Then, when we inquired about the 20% discount, she said she had no idea what that was about. She brought over another coworker and he also said he didn't know. So we ended up with no discount. Disappointing, but oh well. Then, we had to wait 30 MINUTES. Are you kidding me? 30 minutes for a stupid float and only 3 customers in front of us?? Pathetic. We watched them make tons of orders, none of which were ours. I finally saw one that looked like plain vanilla ice cream, so I told my husband that was probably his. We proceeded to watch the employee make a vanilla shake. Yes, a milkshake. He poured it into the cup and stared at the order form for about 30 seconds before calling over another employee and they were clearly discussing that the order was incorrect. Instead of remaking our order, the guy dumped out half of the milkshake and poured root beer on top. ROOT BEER. What???? He handed my husband the soupy mess. My husband asked him if this was how it was supposed to come out and the guy said yes. Not only was it not coffee based, but it wasn't solid ice cream with root beer. It was messy, sloppy vanilla slush with a little root beer on top. Thank God we didn't take the cashiers advice to do chocolate or caramel ice cream, because that would have been absolutely disgusting. We were so irritate we didn't bother sticking around for them to fix it. My husband took two bites and threw it in the trash. What a waste of $8. We will never come back to this place. read more

We didnt know where the line started and or ended. We stood at the door thinking that was the beginning of the line, but it was a customer who told us where the line started which was on the otherside of the room. While the product they put out was great, even the coconut base was creamy, they REALLY need to work on getting their orders out together. The example was tonight, my wife and I ordered an ice cream concoction each. I got my ice cream quick, I got it before people who had ordered before me. My wife had to wait about 10 minutes for hers to come out. Granted, they were a little busy, but maybe, have someone who's sole purpose is to expedite orders, making sure the orders are done together. Where I work it's called a will-call coordinator. They are there to make sure the orders are complete before they send them off. This place is new, so we will be giving them another chance, but that's an area where they can really improve and complete an amazing experience. read more

It's just not ice cream its an experience. Is this extreme gourmet ice cream? I don't know but its fun to watch and its good. I can taste that the quality ingredients are used and that its more cream than ice. I know that's a common sense thing but you know when you taste it. My kids loved watching the nitrogen and feeling the nitrogen cold against the glass. Children want choice and this place really delivers on that promise with all the extra's and the type of ingredients they believe will go together. I saw a review where they said the place was small, well it's about the normal size of an ice cream shop or you can drive 20 miles to the sugar bowl on Scottsdale road but that place is insanely busy. I think that Creamistry is exactly where it should be. It's on a busy street where it can be seen during the whole time your having dinner at Lolo's Chicken & Waffles. This isn't a Walmart experience where your cattle waiting in line. It is a clean exciting place where you can make anything you want with ice cream and remember it. People expect a Michael Bay production for food now and sometimes its just being with the people you love and want someplace to remember. I had my 2 children with me and 3 of their friends from ages 10 to 13 and they all had a wonderful time. Waited 20 minutes with 5 customers in the whole place on a quiet Wednesday night. 3 employees and no one was even making an order for 15 minutes. I asked if they would start making it order soon. Without blinking I was told "Sorry, we're really backed up." A second employee asked what I said, so I asked again if my order could be started. She said quickly "we're just really backed up right now." Then she looked down and saw the three lonely tickets and said, you're third in line. When I finally got my order I talked to the guy in charge I asked if he knew how long it took to get my order. He said "probably 30 minutes, I'm sorry." Pretty close, 27 minutes according to the receipt. To be clear, they made one regular cup, then my wife's cup, then mine in 27 minutes. As I'm leaving I'm told "if you don't come back, I understand." Staff as pretty rude, only one table was occupied in the place, stood there for a good 5 min watching the gal behind the counter clean up before I "interrupted" her. I had to ask her if she was cleaning because they were closed because that would have been an ok reason to ignore someone for that long. She said no we close in an hour. I then sat down and she said the lobby was closed. As I look at the other table confused (I was looking for some sign that maybe the occupied table was full of employees) but no they were patrons. I asked if she meant that we couldn't eat at the table like them and she said "well they've been here for a while" and then left it at that and got back to cleaning. We were here 2 weeks ago. Super expensive/ way overpriced. I admit though, it was super good. Might be willing to return on special occasions if it wasn't for the noise level. The music is super loud. Even my teenager said so...so of course it must be true. But on top of that you have the banging of the bowls while they make the ice cream. So after the lady started making it she came she said I don't have that cup size so I can put it in a little on and I can still put the same amount of ice cream in it. I cannot get enough of this place. Unlike other make ice cream right in front of you places these guys have some of the most high-tech blenders which is very clear when you eat it how smooth and mixed up the flavors. I've noticed that some other options that cater to the sub zero genre sometimes you get clumps of flavor and sometimes you have clumps of ice. Physical hands just aren't skilled enough to properly mix and fluff whereas a machine can push air into your ice cream. Well this place was very accommodating the staff were extremely friendly and the place was rather clean. The baby chairs were not. And this place was lacking in the cashew milk which it had advertised. I have no qualms with their other alternative coconut milk. But if they're out of cashew milk they should fix that like ASAP. read more

Came in with a couple friends at 9:30 on a Wednesday, after dinner. About 6 more people came in right after us. My friends both order ice cream I tasted both the vanilla with sprinkles and the chocolate with brownies. The employees were cleaning after this little rush of about 10 people and all of the sudden the lights turned off at 10:06. Hearing the laughter from the employees in the back as the lights turned back, we all understood they were closed. Both my group and the other group got up quickly and left. I have never been here before and I must say that I love it. I love the science behind making your own custom ice cream. I must admit it is pricey. A single kids small scoop of ice cream with milk and sea salt caramel cost $5.15. A regular scoop with cap n crunch and cheesecake bites mixed in was $7.15. The next size was 1 dollar more and the mix-in cost another dollar. My hubby had a regular scoop of vanilla bean and reese's cup mixed in. Everything was deliciously creamy although the vanilla bean and reese's cup didn't seem too special but the others that were custom were unique. I would have chosen fancier ingredients than my husband chose. Customer service was good and they spent the time explaining but I could see where the lines could get full because the custom ice cream does take time but I think it is good to watch as it is like entertainment. read more
