    veggie omelette and red potatoes

The food was actually pretty good -- the spinach and mushroom omelette with the red potatoes was delicious. Unfortunately, the service was one of the worst experiences I've had. We visit Sonoma often since we have friends who live there, and we were hoping to find a good breakfast/lunch spot to enjoy when we're in the area. Unfortunately, from the moment we walked in, we felt ignored. We weren't greeted, and the staff seemed cold and unwelcoming. What was especially disappointing was seeing other guests being treated much more warmly and receiving a level of friendliness and attention that we did not receive. The experience left us feeling uncomfortable and disappointed. It's a shame because the food has potential, but the service completely ruined it for us. We will not be returning and will definitely let our friends and family who visit the area know about our experience at Creekside Cafe. Do better Creekside Cafe!

Basic no frills food, good service. I wouldn't come here for avo toast or anything fancy. A food place to bring toddlers or nonfussy palates.

This is a true local spot in Sonoma. Other than us all others seemed to be locals where the owner greeted them by name. Very sweet. The staff was very welcoming. The vibe was charming and local. If you are looking for a healthy light breakfast, maybe skip this one. But if you want to treat yourself on a Sunday morning to home cooked food that is not totally recommended by your health care professionals come here. You only live once and this incredible food is worth it.

This little cafe was cute. I loved the old fashioned bar stools. It right out of the 50's. I had the cheese burgers that came with fries. It was juicy and the bread was fresh. My friend had the TLB sandwich and clam chowder. The chowder was thick and hit the spot perfectly per my friend. The waitperson was friendly.

Grits with smoked ham and poached eggs topped with hollandaise sauce

Holy moly - literally one of the best breakfasts I've had; ever... This morning they had a house made grits plate with a slice of lean smoked ham and topped with a couple of cooked to perfection poached eggs and delicious hollandaise sauce (plus toast). Savory deliciousness in every bite! They should put this on the regular menu because it's seriously bomb. Great service from Mike and his crew, as always and the ambience is old-fashioned diner-style just exactly how we like it: Love sitting at the counter when it's available. 5-stars all the way !

    Cute salt & pepper shakers

I visited here 5 months ago and I couldn't wait to come back for their chicken fried steak breakfast with hash browns and fried eggs over easy. The cappuccino is the best in town. They have cute salt and pepper shakers for each table. Personal and warm family service I can't wait to come back again!

Fantastic atmosphere. Great service. Food was outstanding. The black beans were absolutely amazing and I'm not even a fan of black beans.

The service was pretty good, seated fast, pretty attentive with all the tables they had to serve. We ordered a traditional caramel macchiato (it is nothing like a Carmel macchiato that you are thinking of) and a matcha latte. They were pretty but lacking flavor. The Mach was very bitter, but I am sure that's the traditional version in a little bitty shot like glass -not my fave but I was trying to order stuff i wouldn't normally get. ‍ the matcha came in a giant mug, and it wasn't sweet at all and just kinda of plain. For food, we ordered the wagyu steak and eggs. It came with some interesting garlic herby potatoes, a piece of sourdough cut in half, scrambled eggs, 6 slim slices of beef and a little jam of some sort. We also asked for a side of their house made chili crunch. The steak was mediocre, the potatoes tasted a little weird. We enjoyed the bread and eggs the most. Maybe we just ordered the wrong things. I'd come back and try other items. It is a very cute location.

We've eaten here a couple times. The first time I got the avocado toast which is really unique because it has roasted eggplant added in with the other toppings. The restaurant itself is small and quaint, all chair tables no booths, but the patio seating is ample and really charming. Everyone who works there is so welcoming and kind, we felt cared for and at home. When they're busy parking can be a bit odd but we parked at the McDonald's lot next door (even tho it had signage for MD's only, whatev lol). All in all we LOVE Verano cafe, and although they don't have an exclusively kid menu it's also a friendly spot for kids. Thank you Verano Cafe! We can't wait to come back

I looked up breakfast places and we were directed here. What a hidden gem... or maybe everyone else knows about it but us. The parking is limited, but you can park around the back or next door in the McD's lot. Seating outside, but since it was raining, we opted for inside. We walked into a cozy, friendly environment which was packed. The only table that was available, was a table for 1 in the corner. The extremely generous young man sitting by the door, heard what the server had offered us and he immediately turned to us and gave us his table and he moved to the single table. I don't think anyone has ever done this for us. We gladly accepted and in turn we treated him to breakfast. We were curious to see the plates coming out of the small kitchen. The pancakes look amazing, as did everything else we caught a glimpse of. A Vallejo omelette and a basic eggs, bacon and potatoes plate. My husband absolutely loved the omelette comparing it to the ones he used to order at the Cliff House in SF back in the day. My eggs were cooked perfectly and the potatoes were perfect with onion and red peppers added in. Omelette $20 and egg combo $19. Very reasonably priced. The service was great and the food came out piping hot. We will definitely visit again. They were written up in Sonoma magazine for the lemon pancakes and French toast.

Steak tartare to savor over as well as their pickled caperberries, offered something different to cornichons and complimented well with the steak tartare. Duck confit was to be delved into!
