Had this place bookmarked for a while and finally got to try it. Man, am I disappointed. I came in for the almond croissant, because I have yet to find one that I like as much as my fave one in Vegas. While the croissant itself here was good, the almond paste filling was lacking and I wish there were more almonds on the crust. The Nutella suisse pastry was also good but the Nutella filling was sparse as well. The garlic croissant had a sweet filling?! The only pastry I enjoyed was the mango yogurt cream, because I love mango anything. Walking in, the interior was not very welcoming. It had an industrial building feel to it. There's just a few seating on the side but there's room to add more. The place does not make you want to stay and enjoy your coffee and pastry and perhaps that's the intention. Pastries could be displayed in a more eye appealing way. The staff was just there to box up your order, like a donut shop. Not rude but not friendly either. This place is just not for me.

Tried this place 3x. Overall, not worth the price/drive. If I had to, I WOULD recommend the mango, red bean, egg tart, and regular croissant. Their pastries are flakey on the outside only, often dry inside, yet no butter taste; they probably use margarine or mediocre butter? NOT fan of their: Nutella (dry), Ganache (dry), Beef Sausage (super salty). As a pastry lover, I'd much recommend D'Caramel in Southlake if you're gonna spend $4-6 each. Theirs are flakey and buttery (like they use premium real butter). Agree that their interior and service are meh. I'm usually fine if their food is worth it but they aren't.

I felt like a drug deal was going down as I said,"Get me two from the back." What was I referring to? Their almond croissants that had been completely sold out when I visited a day prior. I know it makes no sense that I was on my way to the gym, but let's just say this is cheat day worthy. The ambiance of this establishment would benefit from wide plank wood paneling flooring to give it that real Parisian vibe. Right now, it's just a concrete pick-up and go space. Seating is on the right side but sparse. The clerk is sweet and had sympathy when offering options or checking in the back for items I wanted to order. I love how they have a great balance of savory and sweet pastries. The portions are large. Almond croissant had a flaky crust and soft dense inside. There was some aftertaste from the scent in the bakery itself. It's not bad but I'm not sure if it's an extract they add to the pastry itself. This place works with limited quantities so when something is sold out....it's gone. I just think if they see a need for slightly more inventory they should bake more. I was here at 8:00am and the almond croissants weren't on the floor?! Clearly, patrons are dashing to get this daily. Thank you sweet employee who thought to fetch more from the back!

Wow - a new family fav for pastries... Met the owners and I was surprised and excited to hear this shop has been around for 5 years! Their baking and laminating skills to make croissants pastries are unrivaled! Nice early morning surprise for the wife and family! Well done, Cremcrittos!

Hands down this is officially my favorite place in all of DFW! My only regret is not visiting sooner because my life was not complete without these. I've had this place on my radar for quite some time. It's a had a Yelp bookmark on it for over a year but it's a 30-minute drive in a direction I rarely go. I'm hoping this stellar review gets to the owners so maybe they can open one of these...in my front yard???? Please!!! Cremcrittos specializes in all things buttery and flaky. They didn't know they were speaking my love language. I will pass up any cake, donut, cookie, dessert for a French pastry any day of the week. This place takes those pastries to a level you'd never dream. I tried the cream croissant, almond crossiant, kouign amann, strawberry cream, cookie craffle (I may have made that name up), and some kind of croissant filled with caramel. My favorites were the cream croissant followed by the strawberry and cream one, with the kouign amann, the cookie waffle thing coming in at a close third and fourth. The second visit (DO NOT JUDGE) less than a month later I got something new. It was a waffle croissant and the holes were filled with the most perfect gooey but so slightly chewy caramel. I wish I remembered the name. Dang was perfect... the best ever!! The caramel waffle is my official favorite. Thank you Cremcrittos for bringing me such joy. Don't ever stop making these good things and please, I beg you, please make sure that caramel waffle is available every single day!!

I've had this book marked at least 2 years so... Goodness Gracious as my dearly departed grandmother used to say...wow! I just sampled the cream filled crescent and it's heavenly. The Yelp reviews on this are definitely legit. I got here late,10:30am and they were 1/2 out of their offings. Although wat was left looked amazing. This is a definite.... Go!!

The last time I had a croissant this delicious was over 25 years ago in France. No doubt, every item in this bakery is made from scratch. The perfect croissant is made from yeasted dough, layered with butter, and has many folds that create that distinctive classic croissant. Light, airy, crisp, with a deeply caramelized buttery flavor. The owners certainly know what they are doing. If you've never tried one, you must start here. These croissants are a labor of love that's absolutely worth your time and money. I've tried nearly every single one, and I've narrowed my addiction down to two favorites: #1 Black Tea Cream Cruffin (looks like a cinnamon top hat -- delicious cream filling) $3.75 ea. and #2 Creamy Croissant $3.60 ea. Extra bonus: Join their rewards program!! Every time you make a purchase, you earn points. Those points go towards one free item of your choice. Local and family owned. It's my favorite type of business to support.

Great patisserie and excellent quality!! Their pastries can definitely compete with some of the best ones I've had all over the US. I definitely did not expect to find an authentically French inspired pattiserie in the McKinney suburbs! It sure was a pleasant surprise. Family owned, and the owners are very nice and friendly. These pastry's are completely out of this world. I'd arrive early if you want a large selection but either way they are all delicious!! My favorite is the crème brûlée donut. The top is perfectly crispy, the dough is light, and the filling is an amazing vanilla bean custard. I've brought these pastry's to my work many times now and my staff goes crazy. The employees are always very friendly and polite. The shop always seems very clean and well kept. read more

The croissants, especially the almond, are out of this world. 12/10. I could take or leave most of the other pastries, though the idea of them are creative. I just find most a little dry. The coffee menu is small, but is surprisingly really good. What really upsets me is how they have sold out every weekend morning for years and don't do anything about it. People come all over DFW to try this place only to be left disappointed. If it happened occasionally, fine, but it's literally almost every weekend. Just make more. It's ridiculous. Or be honest about your hours and just say you close at 10 am or whatever. It feels really shady. Why wouldn't they want to make more money??? It's weird. I also hate how they randomly get rid of very popular items that have tons of positive reviews and never bring them back. I also miss the gelato and popsicles. They seem to try a lot, but then taketh away. That said, those croissants tho. I'll be back. And hope they'll be open. But they probably won't lol. read more

I love their pastries but from the handful of times I've been here, at least two times it smelled strongly of cleaning products. I clearly remember arriving in the morning wondering why it smelled like windex or something. I took my pastries to go and clearly took a bite out of my croissant and it tasted of cleaning products, that's how strong the smell was. It really turned me off and not sure if I'll come back any time soon. I'm disappointed because their pastries and gelato are really good. My son loves the popsicles they sell too. read more

I love that this little gem is within walking distance of my home. They are almost always sold out by 10, so they're doing something right. They have this amazing almond croissant that is to die for. A local favorite! Make sure you get here early because a lot of things sell out. My favorite is the strawberries and cream croissant. Their almond one is good too. We usually get a variety of pastries and have never been disappointed. read more

What a hidden gem in McKinney of all places! Cremcrittos makes a solid croissant; certainly one of the best options in the DFW area. The croissants are buttery and flaky on the outside, while being just chewy enough on the inside. In addition to croissants, we also tried some cronuts (so good! both the glazed and cinnamon sugar were perfection), an apple fritter, and sausage rolls - all fantastic. My absolute FAVORITE item was the honey ginger twist pastry. The ginger and honey flavors really come through and there's this amazingly delicious caramelization between the layers of the pastry. Not only does it taste amazing, it's beautiful as well! Highly recommend but come early though; I've heard they can sell out pretty quickly. Husband went to grab our treats early one weekend morning and a lot of items were already gone. read more

Such a cute artisanal bakery! So glad this opened up so close to home! There's soooooo many options. I went on the weekend and got my hands on some cookies. If you want the croissants and donuts come early! Or even call ahead. I read a previous negative review talking about how the display was empty etc, well that's what happens when the place is that good!!! To avoid disappointment, call in an order a day ahead or if you can't, try to get there the moment they open (especially on weekends!) they are sold out quickly cause the crispy, flakiness of each bite is like crack. OMGGGGG PERFECTION. No other words needed. Jk...reviews need words lol...we got glazed cronuts, a raspberry croissant, and a white chocolate cookie bread (I think that's what it was called?), and everything was literally to DIE for. The cronuts were especially delicious...flaky and buttery with a perfectly sweet crisp to them. The shop itself was cute and clean. I wish I could have tried more things, but they were almost sold out of everything when I went (9:30am on a Saturday) and there was still a long line behind me so I wanted to be considerate of those in line. Highly recommend if you're ever in the area. Or even if you're not, it's worth the drive!! read more

If you are looking for croissants this is the place to go. Every time I come I order one of each croissant if they have any left. You do have to go in early as they close when they sell out and check the times as they are not opened everyday. You could also place an order online to make sure you get a taste of these delicious treats! It is a nice little shop and you could enjoy your croissants with their indoor seating. read more

I was underwhelmed upon entering. Just a small case of limited items. It was my first time and a friend raves about it, so I tried a few things. I got a sausage roll, sugar and cinnamon cronut and the Aman thing...which is a bruleed cronut. I was not a fan of the cronuts. Stale tasting texture to me. They probably make the best around if you like those things, but they weren't my jam. The sausage roll is outstanding. It's just a jumbo kolache. The bread on it was super soft and sweet and the sausage had a great flavor and snap. read more

Stopped in on their grand opening, I can't review the gelato or coffee since I only got pastries. I'll update review once we've had a chance to try everything they have to offer. I just had my first croissant from Cremcrittos--so flaky and buttery! Smiling lady served me quickly. I could spend a few hours in this storefront if I had more self control. we loved our pastries last time so we were disappointed to drive here and see that they are closed hours before the posted closing time. I moved here from out of state so we're not used to this. so we always have to check before heading over? no thanks. too many other places that actually stay open like a real business where we can spend our money. read more

I usually don't like croissants and donuts, but this place makes me drool for it everyday! Their almond and chocolate croissants are the BEST I've ever had, and they're super popular too! I always make sure to call before driving 20 mins over just to check if there are any available. The layers and flakiness of each bite is to die for! The cronuts are also delicious, but their croissants is my main obsession. Each piece is so big and filling, not like the small & expensive ones that you get at Starbucks. Definitely check them out!! read more

Stopped by after noticing the shop on the way to Walmart, and it was well worth it. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Everything we tried was delicious, but my personal favorites were the cream filled croissant, crème brûlée donut, and cinnamon donut pastry. They also have espresso, so we treated ourselves to a couple lattes. Will definitely be back for more goodies. read more

Quality items, made from scratch, beautiful and not overly-sweet. If I traveled overseas this is what I would imagine it tasting like. Their decor and seating lacks but they can conquer that at another time if their food is this delicious. Will be back for sure. A true gem! read more

Came at 11am on Sun, and they were sold out of the apple fritter I wanted to try. So instead I snagged the last Kouign-amann (croissant with caramelized sugar) and it was delicious! A hidden gem we just discovered in McKinney! We tried their crème Brûlée donut and it was AMAZING! The hazelnut praline was delish!!! I had an amazing experience here when I first visited, and it left me eager to come back. Unfortunately, my last few visits have been a major letdown. I've tried coming right when they open, but each time, there have been at least four items from their menu that aren't ready. On one occasion, I waited 35 minutes for their Cream Croissant--our favorite--and when it finally came out, it was disappointingly stale, as though it was a day old. We ordered six, and they all had the same lackluster taste. Another issue is the inconsistency with their menu. While they occasionally switch up their offerings, there's no way to know in advance what will be available on any given day. And if you fall in love with something, don't expect to be able to order it ahead of time. I've asked if they could make a particular item for the weekend, and while they initially agreed, they changed their minds last minute. It's frustrating, especially when you're craving something you really enjoyed during a past visit. Every time I am in town this is my number one place I like to stop by. The best baked delicacies in town. It's family run and they make a limited supply every morning and run out quick. I highly recommend visiting near their opening time so that you can have the best to pick from! For the first night of Hanukkah my family was looking for the best place to make an order for a jewish baked good that is unanimous with the holiday (sufganiyot). We came in and asked if they'd be able to make a special order of 20 of them for us and they accepted and made our holiday that much more special. As someone who worked in dining in university and make crepes all the time - I feel they can do…read morebetter. The staff was super friendly and brought my drink to me when I forgot about it, so points for them! The food and drink are both photogenic which makes for a great post, but the crepe leaves much to be desired. I would have expected much more filling at the price point, or at least more variety. There should be an option when the dessert crepe can be from the inside as opposed to the outside, with way more filling so the crepe can be eaten like a hamburger (it would have to be cooked more to be firm to do so). The drink said there was foam on it but it's mostly ice instead of foam. I'd rather go to Starbucks since they have the foam drinks done correctly. (If you're not aware, the foam on top of drinks is the latest fad made with whopping cream, milk, and protein powder. I've been making it at home). Overall the vibes are nice, they are quick to serve and are friendly.

The staff was super friendly but it did look like she was bogged down running the whole place during a busy weeknight. The order processing went as quickly as it could with only 1 person running and a huge line ahead of us (about 10-14 minutes) and for $10ish, it was great! Ambiance could be better, though the place was very well decorated and cute, there was no music! The shop itself is tiny but they've definitely made do with the available seating (all seating is by the wall and some outdoor patio sets) so don't expect to bring a huge group here.
