The past few times we visited earlier this year weren't great. Not bad, but just nothing to write home about. This time, however, was spectacular! My mom and the husband loved their crepes (mom copied the husband with a Mediterranean crepe!). It was not super busy outside so we chose to sit at one of the outdoor picnic tables. Three of the four of us went in to order. The line wasn't bad, so that process wasn't terrible. Unfortunately, I wish I had waited. I ordered the eggs benedict and politely asked for the avocado to be placed on the side, as I was sharing with a friend who has an aversion to avocado. The person taking my order--who I believe was the owner--looked at me and flatly said, "No." I asked if she was serious, and she gave a smirk that I assumed was a failed attempt at humor. When my food arrived, the avocado was tucked under the poached egg. I went back to the counter to explain the issue, and the owner told me that removing the avocado would require remaking the dish--and that it would cost extra. I reiterated that I had clearly asked for it on the side, and she told me I could just scrape it off myself. To top it off, the table next to us mentioned they had been waiting over 30 minutes for their food. The entire experience was frustrating and unacceptable. They were undercooked and soggy, not worth eating. It was also very loud inside the restaurant. I could barely hear the cashier, and I have no idea what she was saying. They are kind of rude at times whenever I ask for some napkins or more utensils, like as if i'm asking them to do a big task. But the girls who serve me are teens so I don't expect much from them.
