We ordered the REX (signature savory crepe featured on Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives) and I don't remember the gluten free crepe being sweet on the savory dishes? Maybe it was just me but that was odd. Otherwise, the crepe itself was good and the filling was yummy- just seemed weird together. We got the strawberry dessert crepe with cream cheese filling topped with chocolate and with a side of whipped crème and that was decadent! Highly recommend! I do wish they still had a liquor license because I wanted a mimosa. They used to be really good. I guess only one liquor license per building and since they share with Ibiza, it isn't possible. One and Done - Disappointing Experience at Midtown Crepes We won't be going back to Midtown Crepes after a truly frustrating experience. The food was disappointing across the board, but what really sealed it was the complete lack of communication from the kitchen. They substituted two different sauces for sausage gravy without telling us -- one of them was a mushroom sauce poured all over my wife's crepe, which she specifically asked to have on the side. She hates mushrooms, and her meal was completely ruined. The "smothered beignets" came drenched in a strange white wine sauce -- again, no warning or explanation. My mother-in-law's crepe had a bunch of extra ingredients that weren't listed on the menu, and it completely threw off the dish and ruined her breakfast as well. The crepes themselves were thick and rubbery, more like tortillas than the thin, delicate crepes you'd expect. We ordered regular beignets as a starter, but they didn't arrive until after the rest of the meals, making them feel like an afterthought. To top it off, my sister-in-law's pancakes were ice cold -- so much so they wouldn't even melt the butter. Service was just as underwhelming. It took our waitress three separate visits to remember lemons for our water. No apologies, no explanations -- just slow and inattentive. Yesterday my gf and I tried to come to midtown creperie as she has been there before. When we put in the address, "2113 Pacific Ave." We couldn't find the restaurant, we were walking up and down pacific ave looking at the gps. We looked on the website and it says "2319 Pacific Ave" and it's just another restaurant selling crepes! It's the wrong information! On their instagram page. They said they were open at "2113 Pacific Ave (shared with Ibiza)" that was false. We went Ibiza at "2113 pacific ave." The owner or worker at Ibiza had no clue what we were talking about. I called up the restaurant they said they were closed for a few weeks. Neither the website or Instagram page said they were closed. Just bad information! To my surprise, it was located at a different spot than I previously thought. It's moved to a Bar spot, Ibiza. It's definitely a bar vibe, with a few tables and chairs for dining. I decided to order the crêpe Capito with bacon, egg, and potatoes. It's basically a crêpe breakfast burrito. I had a choice of sauce and they recommended the mushroom sauce which was delicious. If I can critique it, I will say the potatoes are a bit too big for this burrito but I'd order this again! The French toast was fluffy and flavorful. I recommend that as well. The eggs, potato and bacon plate was a good portion. The bacon was delicious with the brown sugar peppery flavor. I had to order the hazelnut crêpe to try and the powdered beignets. The beignets were so fluffy and good. The chocolate dip on the side was too rich for me. We really enjoy the crêpe. I expected more hazelnut filling inside but it was a Belgian style which I'm assuming it's different than what I had expected but I enjoyed it. It had a cinnamon taste to it. The service was good. We walked by like 4 times until I had to ask where it was. It's now inside of Ibiza. There should be a clear sign stating where it's at. The owner served us and she was very nice and inviting. We ordered crepes, mimosas, and beignets to go. The service and taste of the food were wonderful! I don't like how the atmosphere changed though. Ibiza is a lounge/club atmosphere, so it doesn't give the French feel that it used to. The food is more upscale (less food, more esthetically pleasing). Our waiter seemed completely lost, and the atmosphere was terrible. We were seated in the closed bar area, which was far from enjoyable. This place used to have a fun vibe, but that's no longer the case. It's disappointing to see such a decline, especially for a place once featured on Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives. This will be our last visit. So, onto the food. The beignet and gravy were good and just as I remembered. However, my wife was put off by the smell of the bar, so she only ordered eggs. Unfortunately, her eggs had eggshells in them. While the food quality remains the same, the ambiance at this new location negatively impacts the dining experience. We used to recommend this place to our friends. In fact, just last week, we told someone they had to try it because of the great food and its feature on DD&D. I used to come to this place whenever I would visit Stockton. It's been several years and I was surprised to find that there was a new creperie in the spot that this one used to be in, and this business was tucked into a bar, marked with signs.. no indication on the building that the place even still existed which was confusing. We were sat down and there were no other patrons. I ordered coffee, which was surprisingly good. To our dismay, many of the menu items were unavailable - no romaine lettuce for Caesar salad, they didn't have beignets, and they didn't have fries.... But they had potatoes? The salad, fried potatoes (not fries), and coffee were fine, they tasted good. They served us (what they could with all the missing ingredients) in a timely manner and the food was tasty and the server was kind and polite. The situation though is very confusing and the vibe does not feel like "a creperie" like the old location did. If you are familiar with the old Midtown Creperie, this is nothing like that. It felt like the final dying gasp of a business that once was.... But the food was fine. Though, my friend ordered a savory crepe and asked specifically for no asparagus. And there was asparagus. A lot of it. Awful awful awful!!!! I came here on 11/6/22, The host told me the wait for a party of 4 people would be 20 minutes. We waited 45 minutes. We would've been fine waiting 45 minutes i do not like being mislead. I've worked in the restaurant industry before. If you don't know how long a wait is, tell the customer "we're expecting long wait times but were going as quickly as we can" Terrible experience from the jump. We then got to our table and the only saving grace was that our server (Amani?) was VERY personable and made great suggestions for my family to eat. After waiting an HOUR for our food we finally got to eat I ordered a pulled pork sandwich that was honestly mid. I mean the meat was good, but the bread was cold which is weird because it was also toasted. Oh lastly apparently their drinks are different sizes each time? We ordered two of the same drink and one came In a slightly smaller glass than the other. Not a huge deal, BUT certainly off-putting considering we waited 2 hours just to eat here. The King Cake was pleasant aside from the fact the crepe surrounding the Cinammon apple filling was thick, undercooked and still left areas of batter throughout the crepe. Choked on apple seeds in my crepe. If 0 was a rating, I would give it. Even if I had eaten in person, the undercooked crepe would have been enough reason not to come here. I hired Melissa (owner) to cater my Daughter's baby shower at Calivirgin in Lodi. This was in February of this year ('24). The positive is she was very engaging and attentive, however in the midst of everything there were venue and product pricing changes and I didn't appreciate the back and forth confusion. The day of the shower, there were a lot of people and she was a "one man show", preparing and serving. There should've been another person there with her. In the end, I had a credit with her, which I never received. Yes, they've moved a block south to Ibiza. During the day it's Midtown Creperie and at night it's something else. It wasn't the cleanest, I had to clean the table and high chair... nothing a wet wipe can't fix. Be careful, the high chair doesn't have a middle strap. Our waiter did a great job especially considering that he was by himself. We didn't wait to be seated and our food was out within 15 minutes. I recommend going at 10am, that's when we went. The food was like I remembered- yummy. The beignets were fresh, fluffy, and topped with powdered sugar. The potatoes were hot and crispy. I have not been to this place since they were in their original location. I walked in confused by the modern nyc feel of a bar/lounge vibe. The place was gorgeous but it dies there. I informed the host I was picking up an order and he stated it wasn't ready yet. I had placed it in advance as I was in between work clients but due to a large order placed before me I was waiting for sometime. I asked to cancel the order and he stated "it was pre-ordered you have to wait on the kitchen. " I mean obviously it was per-ordered but whatever I didn't fight it. (I know now all I needed to do was cancel the order through yelp smh). I got the breakfast crepe and I had to wait about an hour before eating it and when I opened the bag all of the sauce leaked through the Styrofoam. Not only was i not thrilled about them using Styrofoam, but they didn't even care to put the sauce in a separate cupy to avoid spillage. On top of that it wasnt even a crepe at all it was a burrito...The fries were not the sweet potato fries we ordered and they were rubbery and hard. My husband got the shrimp po boy and I went to try it and the sandwich and fries were incredibly salty and the shrimp did not appear cooked...it was a translucent color instead of opaque. so we tossed it to be safe and called grubhub to request a refund of his order. My husband and my brother came here for my birthday lunch on Saturday afternoon since it's been years that I've been to Midtown. Unbeknownst to me, Midtown is combined with another restaurant called Ibiza (if I recall correctly) and I was so confused when I walked in. The main indicator that I was in the right place was a sign promoting Midtown at the front but somehow Google didn't pin the right spot so it was odd so I thought it was in the back of the building or something. The place had maybe 4 tables already seated with people and it seemed super slow already since I didn't see they had food yet. We walked up and no one fully acknowledged us until a few minutes later to be seated. When we finally got a seat then all disappointment started to emerge. We ordered our food and it took almost 45-50 minutes until our food arrived! Ridiculous! I ordered their mushroom chicken savory crepe, my husband ordered an omelette with sausage and a side salad and my brother ordered a sweet crepe called Dragon fairy, and I ordered some beignets. But I later canceled it later considering how long the rest of the food came and didn't want to wait any longer. Then they forgot my husband's sausage and we reminded them and it came a few minutes later. The food was subpar, presentation was horrible. My crepe and my husband's sausage looked like dog food and his omelette looked burnt and so plain. No garnish or other sides?? I remember going here years ago and food was great and presentation was very pleasant to see and eat. The restaurant building itself does not embody Midtown with the French style and New Orleans cuisine like I remember. It's in a dark lounge room (which opens in the evening) and is so moody. I wouldn't even go to the lounge restaurant itself! I feel like I walked in a horrible episode of Gordon Ramsey's Hells Kitchen or something. Decor is outdated and vibe is so off. Figure out what you want the restaurant to be. It doesn't work to have it become two different things. And we understand if they were understaffed but come on, it was mother's day weekend and they should have prepared for it. We asked the staff and it seemed like they only had one cook in the back. And there were two servers and one was apparently the owner that served us and another guy there that didn't seem to do much to help the busyness of the restaurant - just chilling and on the bar on his phone as all the customers waited. Horrible! We kept asking and checking on the status our food and it would always be a few more minutes until it arrived and when it reached the 45 minute mark, my husband and I were super close to leave and I felt that we should have left sooner! The owner understood our frustration and gave us a discount for our bill. The only situation interfering with me returning or recommending Midtown was the uncomfortable atmosphere due to incredible heat. We ordered a pick up order for Valentine's breakfast and we were highly disappointed. We ordered the Esplanade Crepe with country potatoes and the Rex crepe. When we got home we noticed we didn't get the country potatoes and we were charged for them. Then we saw the Esplanade order we were shocked! The crepe was all crepe, no shrimp and only a few scallops. It barely had any sauce too! The Rex was decent but lacked flavor. This was not the way we wanted to start our Valentine's Day. To start off I'm going to start with the positive. The drinks were very good. I had a passion fruit margarita with a tajin rim. Perfectly made and tasty. The service I received was 2/5 stars. Super friendly server just slow and forgetful services. Ambience is nice. It's located on the Miracle mile. I ordered the traditional breakfast with pancakes, eggs and bacon. I went to the bar to order my own drinks that I got charged wrong for. It should have been $20 per "carafe". I was given two full bottles instead, recommended by the bartender and charged over $60 for something that should have been $40. I found water on the way to the restroom and served my own table. I've been hearing about Midtown for a long time, and I tried to eat here a few weeks ago but the wait time was 45 minutes even though the inside was completely empty. There were about two seated tables that I could see and about fifteen people waiting outside. That's pretty ridiculous. I figured I would try again since all my friends talk about it, so my friends and I decided to grab brunch here last Saturday. We arrived at around 9:45 and waited for fifteen minutes to be seated. The server who wrote our names down on a list was not very friendly. He took our name and party number and then just left. Our waitress (unfortunately I don't know her name) was nice and checked in on us enough. I ordered the Crepito Crepe and really enjoyed it. It was very filling so I was only able to eat half. I recommend sharing it with someone. My friends all enjoyed their crepes too. Overall it's a cute spot to get brunch. The food is good and the prices are pretty reasonable too. Came on Mother's Day with reservations for noon. Did not get sat at our table until 1:15 After being told they would only be an extra 15 minute wait from our reservation time. SERVICE was few and far between there was only one server who just came back from maternity leave working with the owner to service the whole restaurant. We have come to the crêperie multiple times when they were at their old location and never had any problems but today was an absolute disaster. We did not get our food until 245, after being sat at 1:15 and we have a 10 month old who we had to entertain the whole time we waited. The server was sweet and we do feel bad for her, but we will never be coming back to this restaurant again and I hope they get the staffing situation under control. I am finally writing a review for these guys and keep in mind I visited before the lock down so I'm not sure how things are operating now. I have been wanting to go back so this review is for my memory of Midtown Creperie. I remember visiting here on a brunch date with the hubby and wanting to sit outside because inside was a bit warm. We sat out in the al fresco dining area which was intimate, 2 person tables. I ordered a Hibiscus Royale which was sparkling wine with a yummy hibiscus flavor and my favorite, BLT sandwich with fries. I remember falling head over heels for the Hibiscus Royale. It just had this bright, bubbly tingle with that delicious hibiscus flavor. Who knew this combination would be next level! The service was great, and food was brought out promptly. My BLT was excellent, with the bacon tasting nice and smoky. Fries were great as well! We ordered a side of Beignets for desert and it was just the icing on the cake! Soft and pillowy topped with powdered sugar accompanied by a side of Ghiradelli chocolate dipping sauce. We had a terrible experience here. I was a little disappointed as it was my first time here and was excited for crepes. We waited about 3-5 minutes to be greeted and sat. Once we were sat, it took about another 5 minutes to get our drink order. Then another 3-5 to get the drinks. We could tell things were run slow at this join, so we ordered right when our drinks arrived. THIRTY minutes until we got the food! About halfway through that time, she said it would be "out shortly". Nope. When the food finally arrived I asked why there was a long wait (crepes cook quickly) and she said they had an accident in the kitchen where the cook fell and that meant they were short staffed. Pretty sure it would be a good idea to come into the dining room to tell your guests there would be a delay in food! Anyway, the food came and it was not only lukewarm, but lacked flavor and was not prepared how I ordered it. Plus the spinach that comes inside was uncooked. By this time I was "hangry", who knows how long it would take to get my food right. I ended up just leaving and my mom stayed behind. The last time that I went to Midtown Crêperie & Café was in 2019, so I decided to go back and eat there again. The entrance and the exit are kind of backwards; the entrance is not through the door of the restaurant, instead it is through the side door, and the exit is through the main door. It was disappointing to see that the outside part of the café that you can eat at is dark, no sunlight coming in and the string lights were not bright enough. It seems like they can get new tables for the outside area, because the tables were lop-sided and wobbly. The wait time was 25 minutes, and there were only two people serving. After getting seated down at my table, the wait time for food was about 20-30 minutes. The servers forgot to bring water and our sides after reminding them about it. I saw that other tables were waiting for quite some time, too. The meat from the savory crêpe Rex was overcooked and salty, and the jambalaya side dish was dry. The beignets could have been better as well. I do not think that I would come back to Midtown Crêperie & Café again. read more

Midtown Creperie catered our daughters' a wedding shower at our home. The food and the presentation were absolute perfection. Melissa came a week prior and we planned the menu, where all the serving stations would be, all the serving dishes were labeled and set aside. The day of the showers Melissa came and handled everything for me; she even told me to get out of the kitchen and finish getting ready as I had curlers in my hair.
