    Cappuccino with salted caramel flavoring
    Sean M.

4/5 Ambiance 5/5 Service 4/5 Food I've wanted to try this spot for ages. A friend recommended coming here vs a chain coffee shop due to superior cappuccino's served. Mine is excellent and I confer with my friend, thumbs up. My calamari is perfect: crunchy, flavorful and presented beautifully. I'm looking forward to coming back and trying more items on the menu. The service is stellar. The waiter introduced himself and was very efficient in service and was paying attention to guest need's without be obtrusive. Definitely recommend this place is worth trying. The ambiance is nice, I would describe as upscale casual. Nice music playing and a fun atmosphere.

A long overdue review of Bistro. We have been coming here since we moved to the area; from COVID takeout to now, they continue to deliver on quality and innovation. Their newsletter adds a genuine personal touch when restaurants are becoming "groups" to survive; it feels like your neighborhood restaurant, elevated, yet approachable. With live music, wine dinners, and monthly specials. We often visit for Brunch- the bacon, beignets, homemade whip, and syrup are all incredible. The homemade ingredients from apps, mains, to drinks really set the bistro apart. Also- super friendly service and pet-friendly on the patio. Thank you for being our favorite place to walk to for Brunch.

    Cuban with soup

Came in on a busy Saturday for so lunch with my wife and kid. Great service, ambience was awesome. I had ordered the Cuban sandwich, which I will always order if a new restaurant I haven't been to has it. The Cuban was very good. I haven't had one this good in a while. The roasted pork was tender, full of flavor, good solid ham and cheese, mustard ratios and just pressed down enough to hold the sandwich together. Wife has some Shrimp Tacos. Too bad I didn't get to try it (perhaps next time), but she ate the whole thing in record time. So it must be good. I also ordered a Sangria, I usually stay away from the fruity drinks, but this one was refreshing and strong.

Fried green beans and the French dip are a must try. The restaurant is updated and the servers are attentive. The patio is a great area for kids and dogs!

Food is great! my go to will always be the BLT with fries and a margarita! The service is always amazing and quick and the atmosphere is casual so no need to dress up here. I'll be back over and over again!

Came in for a weekend lunch. We had the tempura green beans but the tempura batter was clumped together and fell off some of the green beans. We also had the Cuban sandwich, the chicken pesto sandwich and the bleu cheese burger. All were solid.

Beet salad. We got the nuts and apples on the side. The salad was delicious. The apples were PICKLED. But all in all a great salad

Went for dinner on a Wednesday and it didn't disappoint. Our server was so sweet! He made great suggestions for drinls, appdrinks, and dinner selections. We got 3 appetizers and a salad. They were all so good that we got full from th and were unable to order a proper dinner. The table also had the bread pudding and said it was delicious. We sat near the front door and it was some charm to hearing people come in and the staff saying, "nice to see you again." Those are the best restaurants to visit because you know that everyone there takes pride in what they do, and it showed in the presentations and how good the food was. Would def visit again

Salmon deviled eggs, blue crab cakes

Seriously, one of the most under-discussed restaurants in our area. Smoked salmon deviled eggs, blue crab cakes made to order. Another phenomenal meal....

    Crab Benedict and soup
    Yenn T.

I came for the eggs Benedict and they delivered! Soup was good but portion was small. All else was just so-so. Service was slow and servers were unfriendly. Nice seating area but can get really loud. Prices are on the high side. Tons of parking since it's in a plaza but nothing close to the entrance.

Enjoyed an excellent dinner last night at Crescent Bistro in downtown Pleasant Hill. We sat outside on their cute little patio and enjoyed the lovely evening. We started with the jalapeño cheddar donuts with bacon aioli. For our entrees I had the Gnocchi in Vodka Sauce and my husband has the Grilled Flat Iron Steak. They were also able to make a kids Mac and cheese for my son. Everything was incredible and we had friendly and fast service. I literally couldn't shut up about how good the gnocchi was. We love coming here for date nights! Never had a bad dish!

Came here on Sunday evening with a party of nine people (six adults and three children). My close friend invited me to celebrate her birthday with her and her family. We had reservations considering the size of our group and were seated in the middle of the restaurant. Our server was amazing! I asked his name but it's difficult to remember so I won't butcher it. He was attentive and accommodating to our needs and requests. The entrees everyone chose ranged from chicken fettuccine, skirt steak, almond crusted salmon, and fried chicken. My entree (fettuccine) was delicious and everyone reported the same for their entrees. We passed on dessert as we had birthday cake waiting ack at the house. However our server did sneak a piece of warm brownie and vanilla ice cream for the birthday girl. Very nice restaurant located in downtown Pleasant Hill.

Blue neon arches, a huge underwater mural, plush chairs and low tables along the back wall. Worth the detour. Chris was working the bar on his second day and greeted us like a regular. I skipped my usual Manhattan and went with the Smoke Break, bourbon with bitters, smoke and black cherry. He nailed it. That is the one I would order again. Kudos to Chris for making the smoke linger and make the drink taste fantastic. I had this one in Oregon and it was cool but Chris did a better job with his method that really did serious justice to the name. My wife wanted the Cucumber Cooler, but they were out of cucumber. She pivoted to Sauvignon Blanc, and they were out of that too. The wine list runs four whites and four reds, so there is not much room to maneuver if the cocktails are not your thing. Chris read the situation, offered up a Paper Airplane since she wanted something refreshing, and put it on the house. Classic good bartending. It was louder than expected for how few people were in the room. On a Saturday with a DJ, music and dancing, I would guess the volume gets close to a rave. Go Tuesday or Wednesday if you want to hear the person across from you, and you will probably catch them fully stocked. My guess is weekends clean them out. Cocktails run 16 to 18 dollars. There is also a 300 dollar tequila and cognac number called La Maria served in a glass rimmed with gold dust, if you have something to celebrate. Happy hour is Tuesday through Friday, 3 to 5. They are on the ground floor of the Waymark apartments at 121 Pringle Ave with a small patio out front and heaters. Great spot to hang out and talk with friends, and a good pre dinner or post dinner stop rather than a destination for the whole night. When those doors shut you are transported somewhere neat. I would go again.

We also ordered the fried rice with sirloin and French omelet. The chef must have spent a season in Paris because the omelet was textbook French, impressive. The sirloin was good too but my wife didnt really care for the rice. I liked the rice but it wouldn't hurt if they gave a steamed rice option. Next time we'll request that instead for a 10/10 dish. A little after they set the dish down, the meat literally just slipped off the bone. The short rib had a nice crust on the outside and was cooked perfectly inside. It was so good. My only complaint was how little mashed potatoes we got. Other pictures seem to have gotten a healthy scoop, but we got what looked like a a smear of mashed potatoes.
