Went for brunch and it was delicious. We had the eggs Benedict-beautifully poached egg-and tasty potatoes, and the chicken and waffles. Tons of crispy chicken and a flavorful waffle with the spiced maple syrup. Waffle was warm and the right amount of crisp. Service was good-no delays. We didn't have drinks because we had a busy day planned but the bartender was hustling and the drinks looked so good-we will be back when we can try the cocktails and share some apps. This is our favorite spot in Pleasant Hill. We've been regulars here for a few years and still love it. Excellent service, delicious food, and a new space. My family was visiting from LA, so I brought the group here tonight for a late dinner. They were all very happy with the entire experience. I came here with a gf for my birthday lunch for the very first time. I was really happy with the services, food and atmosphere! The staff was friendly and attentive. The menu is not overwhelming and has some good lunch options. My Cuban sandwich is pretty delicious and the devil eggs are also yum. We got a free dessert and it is nice and rich. We were in the area and stopped by here for some lunch. Love that they have indoor and outdoor because we had our puppy with us and we got to sit outside. Food was delicious i had the avacado toast with chicken and waffle and it was delicious. On top of that our server was such a sweeet person. He had a every unique name Kasra or something like that. Great experience at Crescent Bistro. This place is a hidden gem! Awesome menu with plenty of selections for all dietary needs. I tried the burger, lettuce wrapped, no cheese, with avocado. Subbed a side salad for a healthier option. Wow! Just wow! I go for medium rare and it was cooked perfectly. Still juicy and so delicious. It really didn't need anything else. They have indoor and outdoor seating. I enjoyed being inside next to the bar and it was slightly noisy but not so distractingly so. The service was great. My order did come out with cheese though I specified without but the server took ownership of the mistake and they remedied it immediately. My only other complaint was the carmelized onions had a few that were still crunchy. As someone who has made carmelized onions at home, this shouldn't happen if they are cooked long enough. Brunch time - not many people, asked to sit outside but there were reservations so we were seated inside. We were literally there for less than an hour. I got an iced tea and the asparagus risotto. I added chicken which actually complimented it really well. The risotto had a nice citrusy lemon tasted which made it taste so much better. My only complaint about this because it was beyond delicious was that the chicken was grilled chicken and not much flavor to compliment the Risotto to balance the citrus. Came here on a Saturday afternoon with 2 friends. We all shared an order of Parmesan garlic fries that were decent. My breakfast sandwich came out piping hot. It was good, but a little basic for me. My friends each got a chicken sandwich and also said they were good but also simple. We were all stuffed. I got a Bloody Mary as well that was okay and turned out to be pretty spicy. Went for Sunday brunch with family on their patio. We were surprised they had no brunch menu. Just the lunch menu. The only brunch special was Eggs Benedict. It was very good but I wouldn't go back for a brunch. No omelets! No non-meat Benedicts! read more

I was across the street at Morgan Territory enjoying Wednesday Night King Trivia. They allow you to bring in food while playing and enjoying libations. I ordered via DoorDash their Beet Salad and the Pork Belly Buns. The Beet Salad was delicious and fresh. It was perfect and delicious and I highly recommend it. Unfortunately I couldn't say the same for the pork belly buns. While visually beautiful, the bun was cold (refrigerator cold) and the pork belly was lukewarm. Super sad because I was looking forward to it. The food was prepared and delivered promptly, so I didn't have to wait long. read more

Wife and I came for brunch and we're so glad we did! We started with coffee and their beignets, which were both fantastic. I had their breakfast tacos... so savory , the chorizo and eggs were perfectly balanced with the creamy poblano sauce and cheddar crusted tortillas (whuuut?!) all blended perfectly. She had the chicken and waffles... pretty much the best we've ever had. Everything was expertly prepared. The chicken was savory, crispy and juicy. They were so accommodating and provided an area for our group, set up a separate table to hold gifts, and printed a special menu with the name of our event on the header. We happened to be in the area and remembered seeing this place on "Check, please!" They were raving about their braised short ribs and bread pudding so of course we had to see what they were all about. We started with their deviled eggs which were both thought tasted kinda weird. Can't really quite figure out what it tasted like but was definitely lacking the taste of egg yolk. Chalk it up to egg shortage? We almost ordered the fried chicken but saw them serve it to the table next to us who chose to have it sent back because it was burnt. We got the almond-crusted halibut and red wine braised short ribs. We had to wait a while... they got behind on orders we were told. Both were just okay and didn't think they were worth the hype. Short ribs didn't have enough flavor in itself so they serve it on top of mashed potatoes smothered with gravy. Still just ok. Had to try the bread pudding with fresh raspberries. It was good but nothing extra ordinary and I've also had better. I guess we went there with such high expectations and was hoping to be blown away but just did not happen. Portions are ok but a bit pricey compared to other places. A lot of other places in the area so not sure if we'll be going back any time soon. Definitely would not go out of our way, but worth a try. read more

Service was prompt and friendly, and our order was prepared quickly and accurately as well. We got: -Ricotta doughnuts 10/10, so soft and perfectly fried and the caramel sauce and strawberries were divine! Must try! - Bistro bowl- abundant, colorful, fresh and tasty! I already want to order this again. -Burger- add bacon and avocado, perfectly cooked, juicy and delicious! We also did 2 rounds of the sangria which was so tasty. Father's Day. Had reservations. Service was beyond slow. Yet to clarify several empty tables. We had two orders of the avocado toast, two orders of the Blt sandwiches, eggs Benedict, fried chicken sandwich, kids burger( which is adult size) 2 bloody Mary's, and one maple singaría. Bloody Mary's are spicy with delicious pickled veggies on top. Homemade mix. Sangria was sweet and yummy. Entrees came out at different times. Service was soooo slow from beginning to end. Coffee was slow to come and almost 15 minutes when asking for a refill. The food is a savior. Everything was delicious and not a crumb left ( except half the burger that went home) Sadly the service is gonna catch up and drive this place out. read more

Now onto the food: Cup of soup (butternut squash 5/5 A good single portion or to share. It was so cheesy, with little bacon bits. I can also taste the roasted flavors of squash. Jalapeño cheddar donuts: 3.5/5 I'm sure a lot of people like this. While the flavor was good, the texture was kind of wet. Was expecting more of a crumble texture. But it was crispy on the outside. Cubano and Fried chicken sandwich: 4.5/5 Definitely a hit. The fried chicken was just so crispy and juicy. And I loved the amount of pickles on the Cubano. More interesting than other Cubanos I've had. Fries could be seasoned more. It's a great spot for weekend brunch or lunch.
