Delicious! Came here once for breakfast and a second time to try their lunch menu. The "Banana Nana" pancakes I ordered were perfect - crisp along the edges and soft & gooey on the inside! I am not a dainty eater, but these pancakes were so sweet and filling that I was only able to finish half. Love the breakfast menu. Huge portions that are reasonably priced. Most everything on the breakfast menu is less than $15. Service here can do a lot better. Holy, can it do better. There is no reason why there is only 4 tables in the section and the waitress needs to take close to 15 minutes to bring back some change. Especially when you can see a group of three of them huddled near the kitchen entrance talking. It's also pretty BS when you try to flag down not one, not two, but three employees, but everyone is suddenly deaf. We go here almost weekly for their Taco Tuesday, and I would definitely recommend it. Just be sure to get there no later than 8. They stop making the meat, and it dries out a bit. Crest Cafe's brunch is good -- fresh food, and the prices are good. The reason they missed a star is their service. The waiters and waitresses here are not attentive. We've had different people each time, some on busy days, some when the restaurant was empty, and it's been the same level of service. Visited this restaurant for breakfast. While the server was pleasant and competent, the food was mediocre (at best) and ridiculously overpriced for what it was. (The coffee is likewise unfit for human consumption.) Further, the place is dirty and run-down; not the sort of place where I'm confident I won't be picking up some weird bug. I love the quaint ambiance of the cafe. They have a great breakfast menu all day and if you go before 11am they have $4.99 special of the day. I went when it was bacon omelet day and it was awesome! Came in ordered a chicken burrito with rice and beans. It is not bad and not good. The burrito comes wet, the mole/sauce was flavorless, the chicken is shredded and undetectable, there is sour cream in the middle, The rice was good, as well as the beans. The best advice I can give is to head over to Taco Joes in Rialto and order one of their burritos. A million times better, you can order your burrito wet or dry. read more

This place is amazing! I have eaten here for dinner and breakfast and every time is like the first time. The staff always greets you upon arrival and additionally the staff is very well informed of the menu items. For dinner I have had the jambalaya and the wings, both of which were awesome. The portions are really large, which makes you feel very full with some left for later. The prices are very decent, and nothing costs more than $20. For breakfast I tried the Hot Louisiana Omelette and Belgium Waffle. Again, never disappointed. Me and my fiancee ate here for breakfast. They serve traditional breakfast you would expect a cafe to have. I had the southern breakfast which consist of 3 eggs, O'Brien potatoes and biscuits with a sausage patty and gravy. The food was amazing. My fiancee had the chocolate chip pancakes with a side of eggs and bacon. She said the food was great and could be our top breakfast destinations. The one thing that could be improved in my opinion is the pacing of the service. The service was a bit slow. Other then that it was an amazing breakfast. Highly recommended! read more

Worst restaurant in riverside. If like not being acknowledged and terrible food then this is your place. Coffee is bitter and tastes like someone soaked there soaks in the coffee pot. Service was awful. Waited 20 minutes before someone came and seated us and it wasnt even busy. It really boggles my mind how this place is still in business. I ate at the crest cafe to celebrate a friends birthday. We went for Sunday brunch and the Bloody Mary was amazing! It was busy but we only had to wait about 10 minutes. Their breakfast menu has many items and my favorite was the French toast and veggie frittata. My friend who is vegan got the veggie sandwich and it was sooo good as well as their French fries. The ranch is my favorite dressing there. We ended our meal with the homemade bread pudding which was to die for! read more

We came to Canyon Crest to eat at Extreme Pita, but it was really hot in there, so we checked this place out instead. We got the veggie burger, which was good. It wasn't any better than any other veggie burger and their prices were a little higher than I would have liked (but not ridiculous). Most of their fare is pretty standard, but they had a few yummy looking things, like the eggplant melt, and I can always go for a French Dip. I'll be back--it's a good little Sunday morning after church spot. And they have breakfast every day AND a full bar, so you know I'll be back for Bloody Mary's! read more

This spot is great during covid, the out door patios have shade and a great atmosphere. I love all their sandwiches but my favorite is the grilled chicken and avocado sandwich. It's perfect! I'm not sure where the mixed reviews are coming from I've eaten here several times and the service has been nothing but exceptional the waitresses are really nice and friendly and you can tell a lot of regulars have been coming here for years! We were there on sunday july 29th at about 6pm. Besides us, there were only 2 other customers in the place. Needless to say, we were seated right away, ordered and received our drinks right away and our order was taken less than 5 min later. The food arrived not more than 10 min later(piping hot). My club sandwich was very good, but the reason i am writing this review is the tortilla soup. My sister had it and said it was THE BEST tortilla soup she has ever had in her entire life. I've been here a few times and each time I keep telling myself not to go back because the food isn't that great but today my brother decided that's where he wanted to go for breakfast so we went. The service today was absolutely horrible. I'm a server at a restaurant so it's not like I didn't take into consideration some factors that could possibly make the service unsatisfactory but this was just beyond belief. The woman who sat us was in sweats and a sweatshirt, did not even look like she worked there, and the woman who was serving us purposefully ignored us when we were trying to get her attention on three different occasions! She walked past us and acted like she didn't see or hear us even though we made eye contact; not a, "give me one moment," or a "I'll be right with you" just kept on walking and didn't even acknowledge us. Not to mention we were sat right next to the bathroom and whenever someone walked out of the bathroom the door flew open and hit our table, every single time. Not only that but there was no changing table in the bathroom for me to change my son on so I had to go out to my car to change him and come back in to continue eating my breakfast. Also, my sausage wasn't cooked all the way through! I bit into it and it was soft, mushy, pink, and cold! Still cold! I have never been so disgusted with the food and especially with the service at any place I've ever been to. Definitely would not recommend. UPDATE: Definitely have food poisoning and I'm pretty sure it's from the sausage. Crest Cafe is the only thing I've eaten so far today so I'm positive it's from there. read more

Went for breakfast, waitress was pleasant, food took about 25 mins after we ordered, food came overcooked, literally, the potatoes we're dark brown, eggs almost rubber, and food wasn't even hot. We chose to skip on the meal. When manager was notified of our displeasure, he never came to our table to talk with us, waitress didn't even come back, we finally got up to pay for our drinks that's when the mgr saw us and asked us, "what's wrong with the food?" We told him, he went over looked at the food, kind of shook his head as if implying the food looked fine, walked away from us, NEVER apologized then without making eye contact with my husband said, "Your server will be with you." And walked away. Wow! Maybe it was a bad day for the cook, I don't know but, the manager was extremely rude and so unprofessional. I've been here before and thought it wasn't bad but today was absolutely awful! Service subpar at best, omelette had cheese it didn't list nor was my husband told so when it came I asked our server to remake please as he doesn't eat feta and to no surprise the feta was scraped off and re-melted! How I know is 1. I worked in restaurants all my life and 2. There was some left on the omelette! My eggs were crusted over, bacon cold just overall the worst breakfast and NO manager to be found! Went for Taco Tuesday my advice is if you don't want to feel like you have wasted you're money do not go . I ordered the worst turkey burger I have ever eaten and the tacos were worse then taco bell. I would have thought at least the salad would be decent and that wasn't even good such a horrible experience. I love Canyon Crest and most of their resturants in that area are amazing but this one definitely does not hold up to the quality that I am use to. read more
