I found Crest Pest Control on Yelp after several pushy reps (polite but really pushy) from other companies knocked on my door offering their services. I told those people I had to check their companies out online before I commit. After checking them out, one was not so good and one was just so so. Crest Pest Control had really good reviews so I decided to give them a try. I talked to one of the owners Caleb. He was very nice. He never tried to get me to sign a contract using bargain prices. Within a few hours after I said okay, Darrell sent me a message that he would my tech and would be here the next day. He was on time, very polite. and knowledgeable. I had a lot of spiderwebs and told him about my concerns of bugs along the base of the house. When he finished almost all the spiderwebs were gone (there were a few on some antennas that he couldn't get to but suggested I try a garden hose to get rid of them). All in all I think he did a good job. I'll know for sure if I don't see a lot of bugs over the next few weeks. Carmen from the office was also very nice. She sent me information right away. BACKGROUND For over 20 years, we had rats in our attic and yard. We tried several different methods of eliminating (without poison which we dislike), but the rats still came each year. We ended up having Ring Video cameras installed in all areas of our attic so we could tell instantly if/when any rats appeared. Then, about 10 years ago, a contractor who was doing a large job for us told us he could fix the rat problem. So he installed super razor sharp wires in all of our attic vents. FROM THAT POINT ON, WE NEVER HAD ANY RATS IN OUR ATTIC, and even the ones that came regularly in our yard were reduced drastically. ....until this February 2026, when my cell phone notified me and I saw a rat in our remaining single no-harm trap. I hate the thought of ANY live creature going through a long, painful death because of me. I called a company that had huge numbers of excellent ratings... but apparently that high amount was enough to keep them way over busy as I kept getting a recording when I tried calling that morning (Note: that company did respond that day after I left a message). I called Crest Pest Control next. The phone was immediately answered and I was so glad that they were able to send someone out within a couple of hours. Jesse came out and was so understanding about my sensitive feelings of no long-term death, so he took my cage out of the attic and away, then returned the empty cage the next day and put new peanut butter, and placed it back in the attic. He very efficiently checked all areas in my attic, house and yard that could have allowed the rat to enter my attic - and found the vulnerable area. It was the small unprotected areas around the new pipes that the other company installed for the new irrigation system that went through the upper vent of my house entrance. I explained to Jesse about the razor-sharp wire that apparently was still keeping the rats out, so asked that they use that specific type of wire in covering and closing that area entirely. I was so grateful that he was so great about agreeing to my unusual request. He came back the next day with his co-worker, David, and together they did a terrific job (see pictures). Carmen, at the office, was always prompt and polite when responding to my questions through email. Their charge I felt was extremely reasonable so I now have put Crest Pest Control on my 'Go To' company for any future problems - and to have them do a check bi-annually to make sure all is safe from the rats. We did not have a good experience with this company. They came out and sprayed the outside just for normal spiders and bugs outside the home promised to come back anytime if we still have bugs literally a day or two later, the spiderwebs came back and spiders and bugs were everywhere. It was if nothing happened. We tried to call many times. Nobody answered or called us back, and they automatically enrolled us in some kind of membership from monthly service, which we did not sign up for we tried to call and cancel that nobody called us back. The whole thing took about a month to resolve, but from our experience, we could not recommend them. read more

Jesse Angulo came out to help solve our problem with some little bugs that we could not identify. We expected to be sold a rather pricey treatment to solve our problem. Jesse told us that the problem could be easily solved by taking everything out of the cupboard, checking to make sure the little beasts were not in any of the cupboard contents and then wash all services in the cupboard with soap and water. We thanked him profusely and then expected a bill at least his service call bill . He said no no no we don't do business that way. No charge. Who does that these days?
