I found this place while traveling from Portland to Myrtle Creek. What a treasure! As we walked up a gentleman was walking out with a magnificent BLT on a perfect perfectly presented plate. We were there for breakfast but I asked the counter staff if they could make me one anyway. They said the sandwich I had seen was prepared for a photo shoot and the BLT wasn't even on the menu. I expressed mild disappointment and the young woman walked back to ask the cook if she would make one for me. She did! Freshly smoked thick-cut bacon (the smoker is right outside) fresh local tomatoes, green leaf lettuce (not iceberg), fresh baked bread. Hands down the best sandwich I've ever had. My companion had a sweet roll and it was excellent too. Worth a special trip if you are anywhere near the Willamette Valley! read more

Saw all the signs and decided to give it a try. Since the reviews were so good I expected a lot better. The employees were rude, the pastries were dry and bland and the pockets were mediocre at best. Ok I still am in love with Creswell Bakery but I have consistency noticed an area to improve. The food can't get any better. Too delicious to even try to start my diet! Ha! But...the front counter needs to add another microwave to heat up danishes and muffins. To hold the line up over and over because of 1 microwave is silly. The bathroom by the hall going into the eating area has to be ventilated better. Or close it down. It forces diarrhea odor down the hall and at times I cannot finish my food because of the stink. The final thing. I have never been able to sit down and start enjoying my food without having to wipe down the table. It needs to be regularly checked for cleaning. I know people are gross and leave a mess...but it needs attention. I will continue to come here because I am addicted to your chocolate croissants but help! read more

Right off downtown in a quiet area with picnic tables in a charming courtyard.Has that great scent of an authentic bakery, and the monkey bread was outstanding! It is like a easy pull apart cinnamon roll, great for sharing. I bet the raisin and walnut bread will be just as good. The only disappointment was the coffee, and I would have to suggest you purchase yours somewhere else. On 10/11/22 It had an old mineral after taste, probably from a coffee maker overdue for cleaning, or poor quality well water. Not up to par to say the least, you would hope they sample their own coffee, right? But let's not dwell on the negative, and I still recommend this as a great old fashioned bakery. read more

Highly recommend the meat pie. It's delicious warmed up or at room temp (which I think is a feat!!!! Not dry and crumbly at all) I also really enjoy all the variety of cinnamon rolls and sticky buns(orange coconut is the best!!!!and the seasonal strawberry sticky bun is heaven sent) Again, great even at room temp. They don't skimp out on frosting on the cinnamon rolls. It's fluffy and not too sweet. I've trued most of their muffins as well, my favorite being lemon poppy seed! However, it is a little sweet. I have to dock a star because their breakfast sandwiches really lack luster. I got the chipotle brioche sandwich which promises smoked ham and cheese and a chipotle mayo in a brioche bun. Don't get me wrong every component is DELICIOUS. Cept it's 8 dollars for one or two thin slices of ham and one egg. My partner joked "I would need 20 of these to be full" and yeah I'd probably need more than one sandwich too. Go for their pastries. Maybe skip out on the sandwiches. read more

Friends took us to Creswell Bakery for breakfast. I cannot call this a hidden gem because everyone seems to know about it. My first impression was: "Is there room for us inside?" The parking lot was full! Once inside we were greeted by all those yummy things that are dangerous to those of us counting calories. My wife ordered a Ciabatta Breakfast Sandwich. I have a policy of ordering the daily special, today it was a Ham & Cheese Scone Sandwich. I picked up our number at the register and followed our friends to a table in the spacious dining room. Our breakfasts were delicious. Our friends took home a loaf of bread that we used to make tasty tri-tip sandwiches for dinner. The story behind this I5 gem is as good as the pastries. Started by a 25 year old Woman with an outstanding family history and recipies. This is the finest bakery I've ever eaten at. It's absolutely phenominal. It's a family tradition to eat there every 4th of July for breakfast or lunch. I've had many of the seasonal items and they keep getting better and better. What a great find in a small town! I had a ham and cheddar stuffed pretzel roll, best pretzel bread I've ever had, simply great. While I was at it, I bought a loaf of their whole grain sourdough to take home. They have an assortment of pastries, loaves of bread, sandwiches, both made to order and premade, and everything looked great! You can instantly see exactly what kind of pride they take in their baked goods.....no more than 3 minutes off of Hwy 5, definitely worth the stop if you're passing through! read more

My breakfast partner and I had the Ciabatta Bacon sandwich and the Vegetable Brioche sandwich. Both were excellent, and very satisfying. I've made the ~20 minute drive here multiple times over the past year and it's been worth it every time. Meat pies, veggie pies, and bacon are insanely good. Also, the hazelnut tart. For motorcycles and others who like to travel curvy roads, approach the Creswell Bakery as we did via The Territorial Highway and Hamm Rd. on a beautiful day through farms and forests. The bakery was crowded but most people were getting take outs so there was lots of room in the large dinning room and outside tables. My turkey, bacon, cheddar cheese melt on the bakery's sourdough bread was great if you like hard crusts and chewy centers. The lean, ham-like bacon dominated the taste with the cheese next while the turkey was hardly noticeable. The bacon is the best! They have a large menu of meals as well as several signature baking items. The coffee is drip coffee self serve, but it goes great with cinnamon roll. Right off the bat, the look and aesthetic of this place is amazing. Flowers everywhere, and picnic tables for outside seating. The food was very good. I got the turkey melt, chorizo and white bean soup, the meat pie, and a sticky bun. The sandwich was good, but the bread was really crunchy so next time I will ask for lightly toasted bread. The meat pie was by far the best thing there. Just a little ketchup and it was perfect. I also loved the soup. Overall very good food. A little pricey, but delicious! read more

Best bakery I've encountered on a trip. The meat and the vegetable pies were out of this world. Very tasty, not salty! The crust is flaky, I can't taste the crisco or lard used. The pastries and cookies were also very delicious. Again...very tasty not very sweet. I'm sorry that I was not able to buy more to enjoy when I'm craving them. Heading south down I-5, it was hard not to notice the billboards for Creswell Bakery and am I glad they are there as this place is a must visit. I've seen their enticing billboards along I-5 , so decided to give them a try. They ate situated not far off the freeway, so stopping doesn't take too much time off your travels. Had a hearty ham and cheese broiche with a fried egg. The egg was fresh and tasted farm raised as opposed to one purchased at the local grocery store. The brioche was do fresh, light, and tasty. Would order this again. Also picked up a chocolate chip cookie, a pumpkin cookies, and two types of Danish. Did not finish the chocolate chip cookie, as it was over baked, for my tastes. They make granola. Which is so good, the entire bag can be devoured in one sitting.
