I have never been to any other locations of Crisp and Green, so for a first impression, I was very impressed! The interior is very new agey minimalist with white walls, green accents (mostly booths and plants) and neon signs. Definitely a different vibe from most of the restaurants and businesses in Dinkytown, but also being in Dinkytown, parking can be tricky depending on when you visit. The staff were also super friendly and very helpful when it came to helping us through the line. They had build-your-own salads and recommended specialty salads. My partner and I ended up getting the cobb salad and staycation, which were both very delicious and the dressing was also well mixed for both. The ingredients were fresh and it came with a slice of fresh bread. Also, there were a lot of toppings available, even within the specialty salads. I would prefer the refrescas sweeter, but they were still refreshingly fruity and perfect for those wanting to be healthy. I am giving it 4 stars because it was pricey (but then again, so are most salad bars in the Twin Cities) but would most definitely return if I have a salad craving because it is one of the tastier and fresher salad bars that I have visited. read more

At first, I was turned off by the prices but after eating here a few times it is clear that the food is worth what you pay. I can even split salads for two lunches or lunch and dinner, so I know I'm getting my money worth for the quality and portion of the food. I've never sat down to eat at the location, but it is very clean and gets good natural light from the windows. Definitely an instagrammable location if that's of interest to you. If you order on the app you can place your order ahead of time and have your smoothie ready for pick up when you get there. My food was decent. Maybe it was my mistake going so late. I went about an hour or so before closing and they were out of a lot of options. This happens, so I get it. But I wish they would have told us that before we began to order that a lot was missing. I ended up getting a basic chicken Caesar salad. It was good, but the parmesan crisps were burnt and basically just the end of the day scraps. I'm used to these branches being the same quality at every location. First time getting food and a smoothie from here, on a recommendation from a friend and looking for something fresh. I got their classic Caesar salad and a dragonfruit smoothie. The portion for the salad was just right - not too big and not too small. It was good, but I think overpriced for something so basic - I felt like it was only slightly higher quality than what you'd buy as a salad kit from the grocery store. The smoothie was bland and awful. $8 for something that just tasted like dust with an echo of dragonfruit. My friend, who got a different smoothie, agreed that his also had almost no taste to it except for the pea protein. They had some other grain bowls and salads that looked pretty good, so I think I'd check those out and maybe I would feel like the quality was worth the price, but I would definitely skip those smoothies. read more

Wow- This place is amazing and the best thing to come to Dinkytown in a long time. It's a breath of fresh air compared to many of the other places around here to get lunch or dinner and the best part is that it's healthy too! Overall here's my rating 1- Atmosphere: Clean, Bright, Fresh. The whole space awakens you when you enter the building. From the cool tile and logo on the floor, marble surfaces, white woodwork, flowers on the tables, upbeat (but not overpowering) music, premium soap and lotions in the restroom. Everything comes together and the details are well thought out. The employees also tend to the dining room to make sure the tables and floors are clean. One guy even grabbed my salad bowl for me when I was done. 2- Food: A simple menu focused on salads and grain bowls but a lot of different options to choose from. A girl came over to me and showed me some of the menu options from some photos they have on a wall showing all the different salads. You could see them preparing some of the food fresh in the kitchen and whatever smells we're coming from the oven were incredible! 3- Service: Spot on and more than you'd expect from a quick service restaurant. Fast, friendly, efficient. When I did finally decide what I wanted they made my salad in front of me and I was able to make a few changes. The guy helping me asked how my day was going and we had a few good laughs too. He gave me a taste of the dressing before putting it on and made a good recommendation. You could tell that they cared about what they were doing. 4- Pricing/Value: A little higher price than what you will pay at other quick service restaurants but not by much and when you factor in that the food you're getting is local, fresh, healthy, and sustainable, it's more than worth it. The fact that they use compostable packaging alone is worth the extra. I like knowing my stuff won't end up in the garbage. 5- Extras: There are many here and this is where they really earn the 5th star. They also have an app where you can earn rewards and order for quick pickup. After my visit I was so intrigued by this place and the fact that it's local I went to their website and found out more about how they focus on health, wellness, and sustainability. They've definitely got it down! I'm so glad Crisp & Green is in Dinkytown now it's going to become my regular go-to!! read more

I really appreciated the personal connection they made with me. Which makes it clear they really care about with their customers. I used to be a big fan however on my last visit the music was extremely loud, I asked for crispy chickpeas but I got regular ones. When I realized that I had gotten the wrong kind I went back up and told the woman behind the counter what happened and she asked if I wanted to pick them out and I was like what? It's tricky to enter & exit the parking lot since it's shared with other businesses & if you don't know that the best way is to use the traffic light. I am an avid crisp & green consumer but have lately been torn on what to order due to seas the day being absent from the menu. I explained my dilemma to Camille and she did everything she could to help me find a solution to my struggle. She gave me suggestions from previous orders and let me taste the dressings. I ended up ordering the Thai & Stop Me salad but subbing the shrimp with tuna and replacing the orange slices with avocado. So yummy! I've been here a couple times and really enjoyed their options but tonight I ordered for pick-up and the rice was completely undercooked. It was so crunchy I thought they accidentally put sunflower seeds in my salad but it was just the rice. It almost hurt my teeth eating it. It was a shame because the rest of the sad was so good :( kind of disappointed. What a great concept! Somewhat rough around the edges not long after opening in Maple Grove, but I expect they will work this out. I was there in the evening and that shift is less experienced than the day staff. The menu is healthy with many good options, including vegan and whole-foods, planted-based meals. I ordered one of their salads with tofu instead of the chicken. I took them longer to make everything because they were not ready with tofu, but the manager was very kind and apologetic. She asked if I would like to have a smoothie on the house. My five star rating is in anticipation of what I expect this place to provide once they get a few opening problems sorted. C&G Dinkytown is a great addition to our community. I've lived here for all four years of college and everyone in Dinkytown has been requesting a restaurant like this; Fast, healthy and clean. I've been in the store a lot recently since it's become nicer, and everyone is welcoming and says hi as soon as I walk in. They've even gotten to my name (and my order). She did not like the fact that I was inquiring about the ingredients of one of their dressings so she felt compelled to yell from the kitchen: "it's vegan mayonnaise; what more do you need to know?!"
