I'm not a huge fan of the lunch menu (tacos) but the breakfast is delicious and they have the best Salsa Verda ever created.

We were very pleasantly surprised. It's even better in my opinion. The people are very warm and friendly. The food is really delicious. I love that they bring not only good salsa with their fresh hot chips, but also a tomatillo sauce and a black bean dip. We've now eaten there several times. The taco meat has a nicely charred flavor. The tamales were very good. (I'm picky about my tamales. I've tried their ranchero sauce, chili con carne, and sour cream sauce. None of them disappoint. Their rice isn't dry like it is at many other Tex-Mex places. And their $5.00 all day frozen margaritas are worth it. We usually go for the lunch specials that run until 4:00. They don't have mole on the menu, yet. I'm looking forward to their future specials. In this day and age where it's hard to keep a restaurant open, I really hope this one survives. It's not fancy, but the food and service make it worth it. And I'm a picky person when it comes to spending money on food I don't make myself.

We have been to some nicer hole-in-the-wall restaurants, that we liked better, and felt more at home. The conference room chairs are uncomfortable, along with the flat decor with loud colors. For the food, all we can say is Meh...and the drinks are weak. There are so many better mexican restaurants to dine with, in this City.

It is not a pretentious place, but small and warm. We were seated promptly, ordered guacamole for an appetizer, then chile rellenos for the main course. The chile relleno is the star of the show. You have your choice of three fillings, but cheese was our choice. It comes with the classic ranchero sauce, not some of the weird toppings I have seen at some restaurants. The chile was loaded with cheese, and cooked just right. The only downside to the meal was the guacamole. It was too salty. We like it salty, but this was a little much. It was devoured anyway, but just a word of warning to those who don't like salty food. The service was attentive; the lady pleasant. Bottom line - we will be back to explore other items on the menu. I hear the chicken mole calling me.

We got there at 6:30 PM and our food eventually showed up at 8:15 PM. The friend sitting next to didn't eat his tortilla soup because he didn't like the taste. I took my meal home and ate on Saturday night. Will we go back? If we do try it again it will not be with a large group. The staff was very courteous and apologetic.

I ordered the nachos with carne asada. They came on a huge platter with dollops of guacamole, sour cream and pico de gallo in the middle. They use the same cheese as the queso in a bowl so it's more fluid which I LOVED! The carne asada was diced small and cooked to perfection...crispy outside and tender inside with not a bit of fat or gristle. They were so good I couldn't stop! I planned on taking half with me but ended up eating practically the whole platter. Their iced tea is freshly brewed and is also delicious. I'll be back soon to try some of their other dishes. The food was so good I forgot to take any pictures!

We found this charming hole in the wall in East Plano. The ambience is casual, Mexican chic with folk art on the walls and World Cup soccer on a big screen TV. Bilingual service was attentive and well paced. We ordered the shrimp ceviche tostadas and queso for appetizers and we all give two thumbs up for the freshly made authentic entrees. We topped our meal off with flan and five leches cake.
