I drove from PA to MD on Tuesday and encountered a warning symbol while in route. My 2017 Nissan Rogue which was purchased in PA started to ride rough a the triangle symbol came on. once I arrived at my destination and turned the ignition off the warning light disappeared. I was Leary of driving back to PA without getting it checked. Set up an appointment with PAI SRIPATTRA at Criswell Nissan and he went over the car and found no issues or codes after driving thirty miles. I made an appointment on Saturday for Monday at 5:20 and when I get there, they tell me they don't take appointments after 5 and the customer service agent might have made a mistake. I thought I was coming for my car inspection and it's just annoying that I couldn't receive the service I made an appointment for. Buying the car was overall a good experience and the wife loves the SUV. Where Criswell Nissan needs to improve is their service department. When we first got the SUV it was the show car that was driven by the dealership manager. We wanted a trailer hitch to be installed and scheduled the time to have it installed. On our appointment date the hitch had not arrived and yet nobody informed us so we waisted a trip in. The car's audio at times was terrible yet other times it was fine. We brought the car in several times for Criswell to tell us nothing was wrong even though I had videos that show just how bad it was even when listening to local stations. It even go to the point where Criswell engaged their audio specialist from Tennessee (if I recall the state correctly). Ultimately the issue was the SUV was just flat out missing the antenna on the roof. They simply got a new antenna, screwed it in, and problem solved. Took several trips to figure this out. The other day I called in to get an oil change. I attempted to schedule it but the service guy I spoke with said to come on in and they were ready to do it when I got there. Once I arrived and checked the car in i sat for 30 minutes and then saw the SUV was in the same spot. I then talked to the service rep who then informed me there were 3 other vehicles ahead and it would be 2 hours minimum wait. I ended up leaving. Finally we scheduled the oil change. During that call and at time of drop off we were informed they would let us know if anything else needed work. When we went to pay for the Oil change and to review the "complimentary" inspection sheet only to find it was missing. No big deal the service rep printed it out and reviewed with us. Upon looking at it, Power Steering, Automatic Transmission, and front shocks need to be replaced as per the inspection they are marked as RED. Nobody informed us and now we have to schedule another appointment to have this work done. This is even after we dropped the SUV off the night before for them to have as long as they needed to complete preventative maintenance. If they would have called, we would have elected to get the work done while they already had the vehicle. We do all our work at the dealership where we bought the car so there's no questions asked as it pertains to warranty work. I'm struggling to find reason to continue to give my money to this service shop given every time we had an appointment / needed maintenance there's always something... I personally have owned several Acura's and never have these issues with the Acura dealership. Every Nissan dealership my wife has bought a vehicle from, we can't say the same. This week, my wife wanted to replace our 13 year old pickup truck because it was only 2wd. I had previously purchased many vehicles from Criswell locations and specifically a 2014 Nissan Frontier. We liked that vehicle so much that chose a new 2019 Frontier SV 4wd. Gene Lopez, the general manager, made a connection right away with my wife. His "New Jersey" manner fit perfectly with her's. He appraised the trade competitive land insured the transaction proceeded smoothly. Rafael Maldonado, our sales consultant, made sure that his tasks were accomplished in a timely manner. Be aware with this dealer. I have bring my 2019 Titan for A/C service. They have charging me $550. to charge my A/C system and found two months later that the A/C doesn't work again. I have bring the truck back and found they haven't run a diagnostic on the first service and now I have to paid for a diagnostic + recharge the system back. Looks like this people don't know what they really doing or maybe they are playing the game to let the clients paid twice for the same service. I have decided to bring the truck to a different dealer and they surprised they want to charge me back for the poor service they do at tue very beginning. I will not recommend this dealer in any way. They charge a significant 3% added amount onto your Credit card calling it a Convenience Fee. I bet it is indeed convenient for them, NOT FOR THE CUSTOMER. This is wrong and a unfounded business practice they have created! Still waiting to hear back from BBB. The mechanics will completely destroy your belongings in your trunk looking for the original bolts to remove the locks on the tires also, they will TOTALLY rearrange everything in your personal compartments if they're changing your Cabin Filter. If I were to describe this service center it would be sloppy and dishonest. They poo-poo'd my concern, which they caused, and could have blown my engine. I brought my new Nissan Kicks in for the first oil change at 5000 miles on a Thursday. It was running fine up until that time. (BTW, I love the car.) When the oil change was done they drove it out and immediately I smelled fumes. I drove off with my windows wide open to air out the fumes, but it was intense. The next day I texted them about the smell still inside my car. I wasn't able to bring it back in immediately, but smelled the odor all weekend. Monday morning I brought it back and sat for an hour and a half while they "checked it out" but was told it was just a loose oil cap and all was fine, and they gave me a courtesy car wash. Yay. I drove home, and luckily my neighbor alerted me to the puddle of oil dripping from my car. I had it towed back because I had driven it a lot over the weekend and when I called friends about the issue they found oil wherever I had parked. Eventually Criswell said it would fix the problem - a leak in the solenoid - (it's under warranty) - but I believe they caused the problem, and that they had lied about checking it out. I will definitely never go back to them. The reason I believe they are not honest is because after I brought it in after the bum oil change with still strong fumes vaping off the engine, and having driven it 300 miles over the weekend, it HAD to have been low on oil, and rather than telling me that truth, the tech topped it off without acknowledging the oil obvious all under my engine. He sent me home with a worsening oil leak rather than admit the problem and fix it. read more

Horrible customer service, I got there for a recall on my versa 2008 it took them 3 days to get it done and at the end they show me an estimate for over $500 because a cable for the transmission was broke and the car couldnt move and they said it needed to be towed away ( I DROVE THE CAR THERE) after some argument with a rep called Matt manager was called and got involved. I have never had such an amazingly quick, issue free check-in for a car service before and that includes BMW, Jaguar and Volvo. The express service gates [photo] are genius. You pull up, when the next vehicle goes off to service, you pull into the service bay. I was actually apologized to for waiting 14 mins! NEVER HAS THAT HAPPENED! especially with a drop-in appointment. Service assistant, Patricia was extremely professional; explained the entire process, provided dealer / service information and showed the waiting room, coffee service, even offered to have their shuttle take be me within 10 miles of the dealership. Wish I discovered Criswell Nissan sooner, my dealer of purchase always scheduled me 2 months out...I never knew my plans that far out, hence never had a service under warranty. We went in to purchase a car and were welcomed by Rolland (I hope I spelled his name right.) He was very knowledgeable, attentive and had great customer service. If not his horrible manager for the day, I would have driven away in a new car. Upon giving us a deal (on paper also), we asked to get all final numbers finalized while we left for a few minutes to do some business and save time. Upon arriving back his manager for the day stated that deal given to us is not possible. If I signed the deal before we left would you still given that to me or we would've had to go to court? Bait and switch or honest mistake, I do not know. What I know is I highly recommend avoiding business who go back on their word and retreat offers. I had an appt for an oil change and waited over 2.5 hrs before I drove off that place. There's a 3% fee if use credit card. For a big dealership like this, who knew to bring a debit card. They actually make the customers pay for their credit card fee, the service rep couldn't explain why there's a $15 Labor charge on top of the oil change . He kept telling me when they do the oil change, they would charge this labor fee in addition to that. So every time someone sees a listed cost for oil change for, says $80, people would not expect $80 charge but be surprised another $15 for labor fee? Never heard of such thing. I also got no text like was promised when it was ready, had to go back to ask to find that out. Total with filter charge over $160 full synthetic oil and that doesn't include the extra 3% credit card fee. I feel so ripped off. Not ever going back. read more

Purchased a car from them two months ago. I will say the buying experience was a decent one. Danny Nguyen ( who I do not believe works there any longer, or at least that is what I was told) was great. The problems started when I drove my car off the lot. I have had non-stop computer issues from day one. I called the service center to let them know I was having these issues and was told to take my car elsewhere a I have a warranty and they would not be able to accommodate my issues. I finally talked to a manager, who told me to come in on a Saturday at 9:30 am, to have my car looked at. Upon my arrival, one of the service mangers Danny told me " he had told me not to bring my car there on a Saturday and why would I show up when HE had told me not to come there in the first place" I had informed him that I was told by a Sales Manager named Mike that i should come down to have my car looked at that Saturday. They looked at my car and found nothing wrong. I am now having more issues ... My AEB is currently randomly engaging. I sometimes drive with no radio capabilities, nor does my car recognize my phone when it plugged in. I told Criswell these things and they told me nothing was wrong with my car and sent me packing. They even informed my they filed a case for my with Corporate Nissan. This was not the case. I called them myself and said they had not record of my concerns being filed with them and I had to open a case. Choose a better dealership that with hear your concerns and take care of you. This is not the place. There are several dealerships that will at least listen to you, even if it's just on the phone/ YOUNGER NISSAN AND PASSPORT NISSAN are two dealerships that I recommend over this one read more

i needed new brakes on my car and searched for dealer service specials. I found a special for 269.00 for brakes and rotors. No disclaimers nor any mention of service fees were on the website regarding the brake special. After everything was said and done, they charged me 366.00 and failed to give me a correct itemized list of the charge. The employee said the 366.00 included the taxes and service charge. I emailed the service manager and I'm still waiting on a response. Worst customer service. I definitely do not recommend anyone to go there. read more

Took my car for an oil change at 1pm, just an oil change, nothing more nothing less. Not only did I not receive a phone call when the car was finished, there is now a undeniably loud mechanical noise coming from the right side/tire of the vehicle. I called on my own later in the day just to be told the car was finished but due to covid the shop was now closed. What's even more unbelievable is that they conviently listed front brakes and rotors as items needing replacement. I had all 4 breaks and rotors changed less than a year ago. I have been extended suspicious of the service team at this location. It seems every time I take my car in I get it back in a worse condition than before. I live in upper Montgomery county but am now way more willing to drive further for professional service at dealerships in Frederick or Rockville. I went for oil change and Tire Rotation, but had to wait for 2.5 hrs to get the work completed. The wait time was not informed upfront and had to check with them after an hour to just know that I have to wait for one more hour (and finally it was 2.5 hours). They added $30.00 as Misc. charges in addition to labor and parts for each service and there is no clear explanation for this. There is 3% fee for credit card payments, never seen this before in any other service centers. Overall I felt that I paid lot more than what should have been the cost for this service elsewhere. My driver's side mirror was broken. I made an appointment online because no one was answering the phones in the service department. I got there on time. One of the worst experiences I've had attempting to purchase a car. Like a previous review, I discussed the deal over the phone and after driving 2 hours to the dealership and sitting in the finance office, realized that the final numbers were not what was agreed upon. After trying to explain to Jason, Pre-owned sales manager, (which I also had a voicemail from him that explained the total amount of the purchase), he decided to tell me that he messed up his calculations and that he wasn't God. Thank goodness he clarified the God part because I would have never figured that one out. Then he decided to tell me that my trade was full of aftermarket items and I as lucky he gave me the amount he did for it. So I had to breakout the window sticker that I had to prove to him that he had no clue what he was talking about and all extras came from the factory. I feel that if this was an honorable business they would have honored the price that they quoted me (which I had proof via voicemail). On a good note, our salesman Erik was amazing. Bought a 2013 Nissan Altima Saturday morning. What an experience! (a) I provided them an advertised price of Darcars which at the time was the most credible lowest price. They matched the lowest number possible for the model and trim. Instant $900 off on top of their already low special price on the 2013 Altima 2.5S! (b) the sales person (Sean) was an honest guy. His team mate working with him is also an honest guy but I forgot his name. (c) This is the true No Haggle. But you gotta get there with knowledge and excellent credit to enhance the probability of this experience to happen. -Find the prices from different places via internet, -Look around for best finance APR (your banks or NMAC), -Determine the terms that you are comfortable (60 - 72 - 84 months), and -Do the math to determine what monthly payment you are comfortable with AFTER figuring out the proper price of the car, your tolerance to put money down, terms, and the APR. When you arrive with knowledge, it makes the job easier on them to determine your price point. They actually appreciate that and they'd tell you! And when that happens, the haggle almost doesn't exist. Ofcourse there is some amount of negotiation involved but knowledge is power. (d) They offered the most competitive trade-in value, and the most competitive price. Randy (the manager) really fought for me to get the trade-in value. It's all about being able to negotiate with your Used Car Sales manager to be on your side and take some risks. Randy and Sean were down to earth, sincere, and with excellent customer service. They explained to me how good this deal is in detail. And they really wanted me to get the car so they worked hard for the deal. PS: According to the Used Car Sales Manager of DARCARS, they (DARCARS) cannot beat Criswell's trade-in offer. Years back I brought my xterra in because the airbag light was on. I paid something line $90 to have then hook to a scanner and quote me up to $2500 for a new airbag. I didn't have $2500 so I left. A month ago I went on the facebook Xterra forum page and within 3 minutes 15 people said CLOCKSPRING. which is the #1 cause of that check light. It would be the first thing any mechanic would check. A clockspring costs $20 on amazon and it takes 30 min to install. I did it myself in 30 min, but I ran into the calibration problem, which is, what I was told another easy reset with a scanner. It's just select the reset from the menu and press calibrate. 5 min. I called Criswell Nissan and they quoted me $480 and 3 hours. What does this tell you about dealership service departments. I can buy the scanner on amazon for $160. Always consult you tube or a Facebook forum to get an idea of what may be wrong and walk into a repair shop like a boss, not a sucker. What's the point of having an appointment for an oil change if it's going to take over one hour and 20 minutes? Once I was able to talk to someone everyone was nice, but when I first arrived - I waited in my car (as the sign instructs you) for a long time and no one came out to talk to me. I ended up parking in a spot and the walking in to get help. Not a good start. I was told I would be in and out shortly. Really poor experience here. I have been to several Nissan dealerships and this was the worst experience I've had. I knew what my car needed to have done when I arrived (I was told by the manager it's a 2-3 hr job) and it was not done for 2.5 days. They attributed this to a parts delivery and needing to work on vehicles that were dropped off sooner. If that was the case, I'm sure they knew this was going to happen/be delivered, and should have 1. not accepted my vehicle for service, 2. communicated this at the start, 3. offered me a courtesy vehicle. Instead I was not informed this was occurring, didn't get an update on my vehicle until 6 hours after it was dropped off, was told I'd have a pickup time update the next morning, never heard from anyone the next morning (I messaged twice, each an hour apart, starting at 10-11am, then finally called to get a reply), was guaranteed by end of day. Then received a text message that it wouldn't be ready by end of day. Called to speak with someone, really unapologetic, uncaring response by the manager. Overall, pretty negative experience, felt really blown off by the service team. They ignore text messages, don't answer the phone, string you along, give false estimates/promises of when services will be done, take in vehicles for service that they don't actually have time to do, really unapologetic and unaccommodating when they provide poor service, also recommended a service that was extremely overpriced (based on my research). read more
