I honestly wouldn't use this company at all. The owner of the franchise, Mark, was very unprofessional and so was the technician Derek. I spoke with Mark extensively about the services he provides and he assured me that the initial cost included EVERYTHING, including fixing the holes where the critters were coming in from. Mark was supposed to send me a contract so that my family and I could review before the work was done. He never did. I called him back several times, emailed him, and texted him asking for the contract that showed what the work covered for the price. He never responded. Next thing I know, the technician shows ups to do the work. I told the technician that I had tried to contact Mark, his boss, for the past few days in order to make sure eveything we spoke about was accurate before dishing out over $330. Derek said Mark never answers before 2 pm. Fine. However, after Derek finished laying the traps to get the raccoons out of the roof of the house, he quoted hundreds of more dollars to fix the damage. I told him that Mark told me that the $330 included fixing the holes. He claimed he didn't know anything about that. I told him I had the phone calls with Mark, so he said he'd fix both holes for free since Mark told me that. Low and behold Mark comes calling claiming he never told me that and that I was mistaken...a classic bait and switch...literally. After about a week, there was a raccoon in one of the traps. I contacted the technician Derek to let him know; however, he didn't care. It took him 4 days to come get the raccoon...meanwhile the hole that the raccoon was getting in and out of was uncovered. I told him that my parents wanted the hole fixed so another raccoon wouldn't get in, he kept claiming he wanted to make sure it was the right raccoon. He came and picked up the raccoon without anyone knowing it or without notifying me or my family that he was coming. The big hole was still uncovered. Then another raccoon got in. I kept contacting Mark and Derek to let them know what was going on and what they were going to do. They ignored my texts, my phone calls, and they ignored my emails. I had to spend hundreds of more dollars hiring another company to remove the other raccoon and fix the holes in the house. They claimed I had a year warranty...nope. They lied. I couldn't even get in contact with them at all, the contract I was provided (finally) was actually an old (about 20 years old) contract for a past client and it didn't have any of the things I had discussed with Mark. I tried contacting a corporate office with Critter Control, but you can't get to anyone from corporate because it seems there is no corporate office and you're directed back to your local office, which are the scammers, Derek and Mark. These guys saved my house, and possibly the lives of my pets. I awoke one morning to some scratching sounds above my bed, I went outside to see if it was trees on the roof, no luck, but I didn't hear it again so I didn't think anything of it. (Bad idea) I have dogs, big dogs, heard them going nuts in the living room one night, and they chased something outside. Then a few days later, I was watching TV alone in my living room when it happened... the rat ran across my living room right by the couch where I was sitting! I'm not one to wish death on a living thing, but rats, and mice carry disease and, as I later found out, are always more than happy to return to the birthplace of their ancestors! I'll admit, I was a bit taken aback from the price, but then Craig broke it down for me and it wasn't just getting rid of what had now become a full blown infestation in my attic, but removing all the damaged insulation/duct work, spraying down everything with hospital grade disinfectant and anti-bacterial stuff, and then, spraying in all new, anti-critter insulation as well as patching up all potential "ports of entry" in my house?! Oh, AND a life-time guarantee?! Yes, please, where do I sign? So I'm thinking, this is a TON of work, it's gonna take a few days at least, right? Nope, they had a crew there within the week and they were done in A DAY! Rat-free and well insulated with peace of mind, IN A DAY! It was miraculous. They certainly exceeded my expectations. which is precisely why I would not only use them again in my new house, but I recommend them to all my clients (I'm a Realtor in DFW). I called Critter Control for a Bed Bug problem we discovered and was clueless as to what to do or how to handle. I spoke with Jay, the manager who was extremely patient and helped me understand how we could have got them and what treatment was needed to get rid of them. He explained the entire process and was very kind, understanding and compassionate. He totally calmed me down and assured me that they would take good care of me. By the end of our conversation I felt like we were family. I heard something in the attic scratching every morning around 9 am. It would continue for an hour or so then stop. So we called Critter control. A guy came out said we had a massive rat infestation. Worse is he could see blood in the attic so that means they are having babies up there which means more rats. He said they would have to clear out all the Insulation, spray, suck up the live rats with the insulation, put new insulation down, and spray something else so the rats would not come back. He said from the amount of urine in the attic me and my family will start to get sick. So comes the price... 9 thousand dollars. Yes you read that correctly $9000.00... So i told him I would call them back when I figured out how to pay for it. He said we have financing with 0 % interest. If we don't do it now then I will lose the discount I was given so the price would go up. Told him well that's a chance I will have to take. Called another company, he came out looked in the attic... I had a squirrel taking up residency in my attic. He laid a live trap and fixed the spot where the little booger got in at. Cost $500.00!!!!! I asked him about the rat infestation he said you don't have a rat problem just a squirrel. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!! They are a huge SCAM!!!!! Buyer BEWARE!!!! Great service--they care about the work they do. They came out with a five man crew and while some worked most of the day in the attic, some worked outside eliminating the entry points. It is worth the money--and it is expensive--to have the rats gone, and my house smelling clean and fresh in ONE DAY's time. The crew was clean and careful and did an excellent job cleaning up after the job was completed. The lifetime warranty is assigned to the house, so even if I move the new owners are guaranteed not to have any more animals in the attic (great selling point if ever I decide to move). Those reviewers who call this company a scam are wrong--they may have had trouble along the way, (which I suppose that can happen to anyone); I found the company rep and the crew to be honest and forthright, very pleasant to deal with, and both careful and thorough in their work. If you can find a way to manage the financial aspect (and with rats and their noxious smell and various germs they carry, I would rather spend my money here than on other various housing projects) I definitely recommend Critter Control. Amazing Critter Control service. I had trouble with rats in the attic for years. In the past I had called other companies and they would throw bait and we would not hear anything and I thought the problem was over. This time I heard the scratching again and called Dallas Critter Control. On first inspection Brandon showed me all the fresh droppings and all of the rat runs where the nests had been and were now. So we signed up for the full removal deal. Had all attic instillation removed and deterrent put down and all outside entry ways sealed. I read reveiws and was weary, however, having found a dead animal in my attic, I wanted help. Critter Control was able to come much quicker then other firms. The Tech who came out to check out my problem not only took away the dead animal, he showed me the problem that existed in my attic. There was no pressure to work with them. He was straightforward, answered all my questions and gave me a quote. I decided that I wanted not only the animals that had set up residence in my attic gone, but also all of their left over evidence. I signed on the dotted line and they were set to come two days later. On the date agreed to, David and his crew arrived on time. They were polite and professional. They set to work and finished, leaving some traps for any "hiding" animals and fixing and closing all the access they might have had to my attic except one where they inserted a one way exit. When the trapper explained how severe the rat issue was in my attic (along with showing me pictures!) my wife freaked! We could not imagine having all the feces and gunk in the attic with our personal belongings (Which you could see where being damaged in the pictures). We immediately scheduled to have the work completed the lifetime warranty and how quickly they could get the work completed were big factors in agreeing to the price of the job (we believe you get what you pay for). The crew arrived in the pre-given time frame and were extremely knowledgeable and helpful in explaining exactly what was going on and was going to happen in the attic. They even settled my wife down by removing and disinfecting all our personal belongings! After working all day they still cleaned up after themselves and showed my wife and I all the work that was completed on the outside of the home which was hard to see where the damage was after they were done! I called Critter Control for a rodent issue, but the experience was completely unprofessional and deeply uncomfortable. The technician did absolutely no actual work. He stood in one spot in my kitchen and one spot outside. Instead of inspecting my home, he spent his time looking at my body and making inappropriate compliments about my body shape. He claimed he was going into the attic to check for the rodents, but he never did. Instead, he went out to his truck, claiming he was writing up different quote options. After less than 10 minutes, he completely drove off. He later lied and claimed he left because a man was walking back and forth by his truck. I was standing right in my doorway the entire time waiting for him, and absolutely no one passed his truck. Instead of sending the multiple quote options he promised, I was sent a single quote. The entire interaction felt heavily prejudiced and incredibly sleazy. Avoid on engage with caution. Their staff's behavior is completely unacceptable. Well....... Heard some noise in a crawl space so called critter control. The man who came out seemed to be a nice country boy. Told me we had rat droppings in both attics and they were nesting in our insulation they were giving off pheromones calling all rats from 3-4 houses away to come to our house!!!! We needed to remove the rodents seal every hole in our roof ( by small Guatemalan men who would walk on our tile roof but because they're so small they wouldn't break the tiles!). This would only cost us 13,000$. Hmmmmmmm Called another company that came out the next day found NO droppings covered the squirrel hole and sealed all the obvious holes for around $500. Goes to show you that this company sounded and looked so reputable and professional but COME ON 13,000$$$$$. SERIOUSLY??!!!!!! I wonder why only good reviews of this company are the recommended reviews?!?! All the bad ones are not recommended ??!! Hmmmm. The bad reviews all sound like my experience!!!!!! We had a family of squirrels living in our attic, they had chewed a hole in our exterior trim for easy access, we also had rodents in the attic, many entry points all around our house and insulation in the attic that was more than 25 years old. Safe to say the rodents and squirrels have made a mess in the attic. The inspector did a thorough review of the entire house, shared all findings, provided pictures and the solutions available to us with pricing. We had them remove, clean and install new R30 insulation, re-enforce the entire house and remove the family of squirrels. The work leader was top notch and the work crew was amazing. This company is a fraud charged me $5,500 to remove rats from my attic claiming I had roof rats. came out removed half of the installation did not spray the chemical to remove the smell and did not clean the air ducts as provided in the document. Stated they could finish the job in one day. In all this company reported to my house at 3:00 and did not leave until 10:00 I was told 50% deposit up front for supplies and the remainder to be paid upon completion. The work was not complete the same day I was told they need to change to another day. They charged my credit card for the remaining balance of $3,047 and the work is still not complete as of this review. Bryan came to my house when scheduled and checked out the hole that I had in my eve to determine what was getting in there. After inspecting the opening and my attic for rats, he felt that it was squirrels getting in the hole and nesting and some sign of rats in the attic. He advised me what his company could do to resolve my problem and he advised me what I could try myself to solve the problems. I appreciated his honesty and the fact that he was not trying to pressure me to use there services if I didn't need to. I followed his advice and thus far I'm free of rodents. Had a squirrel in the ceiling at my business. A service man came out and put a baited, live catch trap in ceiling and told me to call when the critter was caught. Charged a fair price. I shopped around. I checked the trap regularly to see if the squirrel was caught. It was a suspended ceiling so I just had to lift a tile and check the trap. No catch. About 2 weeks later a very bad smell. They sent 2 guys out and searched the ceiling and walls the walls with a camera. Spent about an hour and a half. Found and removed the dead critter and left some deodorizer. I had my checkbook ready, but there was no charge. I like good surprises. Top notch. read more

Three days ago we smelled something dead and it was coming from the attic. We called Critter Control and Blake came out that day. After inspecting the attic and taking thermal readings he told me we've got rats. There was feces everywhere in the attic. Randy and his crew showed up this morning and went to work. Less than 5 hours later openings were sealed, the old blown in fiberglass insulation was gone, area disinfected and new insulation installed. Just check the traps they set for any lingering rats. Critter control came out and completely took care of my infestation problem. They removed all insulation, sprayed and set traps, replaced new insulation. Sealed all possible entry points and called and came by several times to make sure that the job was done properly. Not only that but I have a lifetime warranty on my house. If I choose to sell the house the warranty goes to the new owner. I don't know where you can find this kind of service anywhere else. We used Critter Control a year ago to remove squirrels from our attic and to plug an entry hole. They did a great job. They visited the traps every day, even on Thanksgiving Day, if I remember correctly. This year, there were 2 new holes and they came back and removed the squirrels and plugged those holes. There was a question about the billing and everyone I spoke with was very professional, polite and helpful and we were able to quickly resolve the issue. We had an issue with birds and Critter Control came out to assist. The birds left and when Critter Control arrived they suggested a free inspection on the house. What they found is that we had ATTIC RATS.
