I can not believe the level of customer service I experienced with this company! I just moved into a new house and was stop by a door knocker and asked if they could come out to service my home. I was just running out the door and asked if they could come back at a later time. The sales team was really pushy and short. I also signed to have the company come out to so a trial service. What I had actually signed was a contract. That was not explained or even gave the option to not sign. They totally made it seem u were signing for your trial service. Well they came and the a few times they said they came they did not. I am a stay at home mom and I was home Between the times they say they were there but I did not see them and actually have surveillance that doesn't show anything as well. I would give this company minus 5 stars if I could. I literally answered the door to the techs canvassing our neighborhood. Went ahead and signed up for service. We have a horrible ant problem living in the sumner valley. They were never able to take care of anything. I had to call and recall for them to come out and take care of the problem. Then there is the billing issues. When I signed up - I put my signature on an iPad allowing them to use the card then and for future services. ( quarterly ) except they wanted to schedule me 2-4 wks early every time. NOT ACCEPTABLE. They get more money out of you by consistently moving up service dates. Then when I tried to cancel , they said I signed a contract that basically said I had to notify them in writing 30 days before canceling. I contacted the owner via email and told him I'd be leaving a review with the BBB and Yelp. And basically what they were doing was fraud, because I allowed them to charge my card w a signature not sign a contract. He sent me a copy of the contract w my signature that was pasted from me signing my card on the techs iPad. I told him I was contacting a lawyer because that was DEFINITELY fraud ! The guy pointed to some imaginary cobwebs on our siding and challenged me when I said we just had our house treated a few months ago. Please do not use this company. If they were legit, they wouldn't suggest pest control for things you did not call them about, take advantage of your distress to sign you up for their service, and then charge exorbitant cancellation fees. The reason they have these fees is because that's how they make money. I called them for a rodent issue which they set traps for but did not block entry points (thereby creating more business for themselves) and when I asked about it was told it's packaged with another service that is between 3 to 5 THOUSAND dollarUnfortunately I didn't read the fine print in enough time to save myself $200. Nor did I read other reviews after seeing them recommended on social media. Lesson learned. Get your pest service elsewhere. UPDATE: I spoke with Chase and he made things right for me. I changed my original review based on the responsiveness and customer service of this company. Was sold on the service by a door to door sales, and it was quite a bit less expensive than other services I had investigated... so gave them a shot. They are very fast with their serivce, and seeminly not as thurough as the last company I had... but so far very few bugs as well. And I live in a forested area that has all kinds of rodents and insects close by. Will see what happens in the spring, but so far so good! Also, they have been here every time they said they would be... as I have been as well. My main question is what are they actually spraying? It seems to work, but I can't smell a thing.... and I'm pretty sensitive to all kinds of odors, especially chemical. read more

John M came out again for a problem with a pest in the bathroom. When he did my service a few weeks ago, he said if the bugs came back he would come back to treat them. I captured some of them so he could look to see that they were, and he sprayed the bathrooms and drains. He always does a great job and I look forward to seeing him. He is very professional, and always does a great job. Last year he found a really large hornet nest in one of my lilac trees. He took care of that, and came back a week later to be sure they were all dead. read more

I was impressed by the presentation and was told the carpenter ants would be gone within a couple of days. Unfortunately, it wasn't the case (it took over a week). Including the contract would be for a few months. It appears their administration isn't aware of the presenters training. I did complain about the extension of the contract that I wasn't aware of. Their admin is tricky about transitioning the subject which wore me down and the phone tags. I'm responsible for not reading the contract thoroughly. I should have read Yelp before making the finale decision; although, I also trusted Angie's list. After reading some of Yelps dissatisfaction the manager's reply offers a resolution which is not disclosed. I wouldn't trust this company's word read the contract! read more

The only reason this business gets two stars is because the technicians which visited my home to conduct the service were polite, friendly, and helpful. However, dealing with their customer service, billing, and accounting departments overshadows any great service their technicians may provide. In August of 2017 we paid for another visit via a mobile Point of Sale (POS) device attached to an iPad. When the card was swiped the tech stated it had been declined, and my wife swiped our card a second time. The next day we noted two debits for approximately $130 for Croach in our account. I called the customer service department to let them know of the issue, and was told that there was only one payment accepted. I explained that I could clearly see a double payment debited from my account. I sent a copy of my bank statement noting the double charge, and when I again called to confirm receipt and get the issue resolved I was told I was lying. The customer service manager or accounts manager told me what I was saying was false because they could only see one charge in their accounting, and that my bank statement would not be considered because I couldn't provide a website address for where I downloaded from (why is Croach asking for a web address for a page which is logged on through credentials??????). At that point I told Croach I would no longer argue with them to get the issue clear, that I would be calling my bank to contest the duplicate charge, and that they could sort their accounting issues out on their own. I received a call back from Croach about a week later stating that they found the accounting error, and would issue me a check for the refund. I told them that was not necessary as my bank refunded the erroneous charge within 24 hours of my call. Fast forward 14 months (that's right, over a flipping year). I receive a notice in the mail today that I failed to make payment for service in August of 2017, that my card has been removed from the account, and that I have 10 days in which to make the payment via check or I will be sent to a national collections agency for approximately $130. I call them today, and the customer service agent says she can see all the details from last year as I am explaining them to her, but needs to find a manager or accounts manager to help me (none are available at the moment). She states that someone would get ahold of me to discuss the issue by close of business. Well its close of business right now. I had to call them back because they didn't call, I ended up talking to the same rep from earlier who said she sent an email to the accounts dept., and put me on hold. She came back and told me they are working on the issue and verifying things with their bank, and that they would call as soon as they had an answer for me... Pretty certain I will permanently cease to conduct business with this organization in the future. read more

To be fair they took care of my pest problem. 5 stars there. However, careful what you sign up for. They are very good at selling one-year contracts. I would advise to use them one or two times before doing so. I realized in my situation it made no sense to have them come out quarterly, almost like the tech is laughing at me because there really isn't anything to do, but ha ha you signed up. They are pretty much the most expensive shop in town. The scheduling is a real pain as they e-mail you a day and time a week ahead, like oh, ok let me just take that day off of work and wait for you. The cable company is 10x better. It is over $100 for about 7 minutes worth of work each visit and they can't find out what works best for me. Almost done with my contract, can't wait. read more

I am so impressed with the service I have received from PestFree. We have never dealt with pest issues before so when yellow jackets decided to move into our wall we were at a loss. A friend recommended PestFree. They came out the next day and did a regular service as well as taking care of the yellow jackets. Zero Stars - BEWARE Do Not Do Business With Croach These scam artists have no shame. Similar experience to others who were sold a bill of goods, and coerced into signing their heavy-handed service contract June of 2015, After seeing no results after two quarterly billing cycles we requested to stop service. We actually noticed an increased bug, spider and insect activity and bites on my daughters, after their "service" We were told that they do not offer cancellations since we signed a contract. In January of 2016, we were presented with an invoice for $220.00 cancellation fee, to which we thought we paid. Done, good riddance. Nope, Croach resurfaced like a cockroach in April of 2017 (15 months later) with an invoice/charge of $38.50 for "contract termination processing fee" What the heck? I disregarded this. Then this past July 2017 we received a charge and confirmation fo payment for $258.50. No permission or communication of yet another charge. Then this morning, we received a phone call from Nationwide Collections with a claim/balance of $258.50 owed. This will be the third time that Croach has collected funds for their cancellation. I am pissed, and will now go on the offensive against this shady-ass company. read more

He promised us we would be able to cancel the and void the contract if we called within three days with no cancellation fee. I called to cancel and was told I would get stuck with the cancellation fee. I spoke with a supervisor hoping we could get it taken care of and unfortunately he was unwilling to do so. Last night we heard a creature above one of our bedrooms, as you can imagine it freaked the family out. I asked my local community Facebook page who the recommended. There were more recommendations for Crouch than any other. David with Crouch even PM'd me to offer help. He was able to come out the same day and do an extensive investigation, taking pictures and explaining everything as he went. He was there 90 minutes and gave me multiple options. I am very pleased and at this point with how quick they were to come out, the length of time they were there and the details they provided me for making my decision. I sent them away the first time, they came back when they saw my husband was home to try agin. Pushy and annoying! Cassie was awesome! First off she was right on time! Our initial evaluation took about an hour or so. Showed me pictures of everything she found and explained how extensive the damage is. I explained money was a bit of an issue right now and she explained that the upward cost was steep but would be able to work with us on a payment plan. Also was able to put me in contact with a contractor to help fix other issues that were related to our pest issue. This company is HORRIBLE. They came by my house and I went onto Yelp and thought "They can't be that bad, let's try them" They ARE that bad. They don't come out, and the only time they're responsive is during the time when they want to be paid. My house doesn't look good and I'm still finding all sorts of spiders and trash around my house. They came to our house (while we were home and after speaking to us) only did the front and left a door hanger that they couldn't get into the backyard, even though WE WERE HOME. I'm not sure what anyone else is complaining about, but I've used Croach for the last few years and haven't had any issues. The contract is whatever (You ever try cancelling DirectTV early, yeesh) but I'll say this, since Croach started we haven't had a single pest problem. The techs have always been polite and shown up on the day of service, asked if I needed anything, and answered any questions I've had. If I could give 0 stars after an experience, I would. Here's the short version of our experience.... We were solicited for services in the evening. The rep made sure to emphasize how family oriented and natural their services and products were. I tentatively agreed to services and he took my information so that he could call me the next day to verify that we wanted to move forward with signing a contract. He put my info into his phone based system, and asked me to initial it to verify that it was my info and all correct. We made a tentative appointment for services later that week and he left. The next day, I got a call/message from a rep saying that she was at our house, but we were not, so she treated our house anyway, without our permission. When I called to complain about that (since the rep had said that we as owners needed to be there during the first treatment and to sign the contract officially), I was told that I already had signed a contract and agreed to that appointment, after 2 hours of arguing with a manager that absolutely did not listen to what we were saying, we were finally able to cancel the supposed contract. An entire month later, we not only received a bill for the unagreed upon service, but also phone calls from the rep who solicited us, his message sounding confused as to why we were 'suddenly' no longer customers. Definitely not impressed, since a company who supposedly cares so much first tricked us into receiving services, gave us such a hard time about fixing things, billed us for unwanted services that they were not given permission to do, and then it took the rep an entire month to return my initial complaint/phone call and had literally NO IDEA regarding the events of the situation. Croach provides excellent services for taking care of pests from spiders to rodents. Technicians are really good and highly friendly. Customer service over the phone has some work to do but is helpful. Manager is friendly and gets out to visit customers and handle issues rather than sitting behind a desk. Had service, left for a time due to no more bug issues. Bugs are back after a year and and will be using them again. Recommend service, especially if you live off of a green belt or wooded area. read more

This company is a total rip-off! They let my dogs out of the yard and didn t even notify me. One was hit by a car. They never scheduled appoints in advance. One time they called and said the service tech was at my house and needed access (there was no advance notification at all). When I contacted they and said I was not satisfied with their service, they never called me back. I ended up sending it in writing and requested my service stopped because of the issues and that I was not 100% satisfied as noted in the contract. So they send me a bill for $300, when I only had 2 services left, at $119 each. Go figue. We had some serious damage done in our crawlspace due to rodents that were in the neighborhood, attracted by our wacky neighbors who insist on leaving food out for all of the animals within 5 square miles... The guys at Pest Free came out right on time and worked - HARD - for 9 hours straight to completely gut and re-do our crawlspace. I was impressed with their work ethic and their communication with me during the process. Our crawlspace now looks great and is totally pest-proofed! Only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because it was VERY expensive...but I shopped around before choosing Pest Free and they had a very competitive rate. I think this company needs to train its sales people not making exaggerated claims. I first have a sales person coming to my door saying I need to watch out for carpenter ants. Then I read their contract that they do not cover carpenter ants. I later experienced some unexplained bug bites. I called a sales person from this company called bug lady who immediately try to set me on a 600 dollar plan without even asking me what is the bug, She said their drug killed everything and they will spray the whole house including the easel. She claimed it might be because the spider is coming out in the night to bite me, ,A few days later we found this is caused by fleas ( it was so obvious after catching a few fleas ) and the treatment is really focusing on the carpet inside the house, I called the bug lady to cancel their first visit and she trashed the company I end up hiring, saying I am going to make their technicians really upset because I wasted their time. I have been using this company for several years as they have gone through a couple of changes. I have them come out every 3-4 months to be sure that my crawl space shows no activity. All of their representatives have been extremely professional. Today Krystopher was the service rep that came out. I began service in July and still had wasps at the same location by September. I contacted them and was told that they would take care of it the next visit. When I returned from out of town there was a brown residue stain on my home and the wasps were still in residence. Bait boxes attracted rodents to my home that were not there before. Was told there was black widow infestation in my crawl space but had plumbing work and there were very few webs in one corner. Paid $280.00 and still have the same wasps. Was told that I could hose the brown stain off my 2nd story under the eave. Early termination is $200 was not told that. Very unhappy with the Kirkland Office. I made a partial payment towards my total balance. I received an email later on that afternoon showing that the remaining balance was charged to my card. I called in right when they opened, 8am is what the website shows. Jonathan answered the phone - I explained to him my situation and he had no idea what to do. He said that his "billing department" was not there yet as they are not opened. Jonathan acted clueless and looked up their website. I then spoke to Kristen L via email - I guess nobody can talk over the phone. She stated per policy ( she has yet to email me with) if you "save" a card on file they have the right to go into your account and charge you the full balance whenever they notice it. They charged me the full balance the day before Thanksgiving! No apology and no follow up. There is obviously a reason why a partial payment was made. Please DO NOT SAVE YOUR CARD ON FILE... I feel 100% violated knowing that someone in the "billing" department decided to charge my card on their behalf without my consent... There is no fluency with how they run their business and their employees are only seasonal... That gives them every reason to sell you something of bad quality and it doesn't matter because that employee is unreachable. My original service showed an estimate time of 1 hr... I have a 3 bedroom house - they completed the poor job in 15 min! Still have spiders in my house.... I highly recommend that you seek a different provider. Sucks to know that there are businesses out there open for all of the wrong reasons... We switched to croach after being with another vendor for a couple years. I was pleasantly surprised at the friendliness and candid nature of the visit. Technician was professional, yet approachable and friendly and found him very pleasant to chat with. They found for wasp nest the other guys who were out here two weeks ago missed.. They went into the crawl space put out mouse traps, sprayed garage and put out glue traps in garage, wiped off all webs in garage, then sprayed outside perimeter, wiped webs and removed wasp nests and spayed awnings.. They also left 3x bait boxes outside. The other guys pretty much only sprayed outside perimeter and had a single bait box. So far so good and croach has delivered 1st class service. read more

Both DJ, the salesman, and Will, the technician, were both very personable and meticulous in their work. I appreciate Croach for their use of non-toxic chemicals to rid my property of spiders and wasps. With pets and children running around, I'm particularly sensitive to safety and the potential harm that toxic chemicals could have on our family. We actually didn't use or sign w them, but I'm leaving this review because they door-to-door sales guy was SO persistent and fast talking that it made us super uncomfortable. He kept saying we can save money if we sign now because our neighbors have signed up, turns out he was just blowing smoke and using their names only because he'd learned their names from his door-to-door selling. He also kept raising safety fears (did you know hobo spiders can kill you?!) as another sales tactic, and kept looking around to find wasp nests and spider webs to use as examples of what we should be afraid of.
