Josh, our server, poured our 4 other shared tasting flight as we perused the menu... Chardonnay, Grenache, Syrah and Super Paso (red blend). Wines were all lovely, but our favorites were the Zinfandel Nouveau and an extra treat pour of Zinfandel. The food was delightful too... * Focaccia with Avocado Butter -- So good (and I don't usually indulge in bread). The sauce was very rich and flavorful. The pasta was cooked properly, and the mushrooms were just so good. The Duck Confit was similar - the duck leg was cooked properly, and worked great with the Heirloom tomatos and plum, all of which sat on a wild rice salad. It's a cute winery but non-descriptive. We sat outside and it was pretty windy so we had our jackets on And there was a cover overhead. Kathy was our server and she is one of the daughters of the owner. She had another large group and a couple of smaller ones and she was all by herself. She did an excellent job explaining the wines and not rushing us. I was impressed with the wines so I joined the wine club. Their wines are reasonably priced and tasting fee is $30 per person but if you buy a bottle of wine it's waved. I also bought one of the small stemless wine glasses and a daughter-in-law bought one with a stem. I'm looking forward to more of their wines.

The tasting experience was still complimentary thanks to the blessed heart of Mr. Gary Eberle (thank you kind Sir), who also happened to grill up some delicious meats and smoked sausage that day (Santa Maria style), which was the perfect pairing to his wines. Special mention to Stephanie, who did an phenomenal job guiding us through the last cave tour of the day...and Mr. Eberle, she truly did your story justice (and then some!). WOW!
