Mitchella Winery. This photo doesn't do it justice at all.

We had a lovely tasting with Rachel. The wines were wonderful and the cheese pairing was spot on. Some of the most interesting cheeses we have tasted. The wines were lovely. Rachel, our hostess, couldn't have been nicer. She was very informative about the wines. It is a beautiful location. I would highly recommend. An additional positive was the friendly Corgi, Lizzie.

Absolutely loved my experience at Mitchella! The wine and cheese pairing was fantastic, so great in fact we asked if we could buy the cheese to go as well as the wine. The servers were knowledgeable and fun to talk with. The wines were fabulous, my favorites of the trip. It was unfortunate that this was our first stop, because if it had been later in the trip I definitely would've gotten more wine to go. The outdoor patio was shaded which is necessary on a hot Paso day. Not a great view of the vineyard from this spot, but just turn the corner and you can walk over to the views of the expansive vineyard. Wish I could commit to going down to Paso more often because I would've joined the wine club if I could.

We did the wine and cheese pairing for $15 per person and it was really fun! Our favorites were the white wines, especially the white blend. The cheese sampling had a wide breadth of types to try - our fav was the lemon and honey and Seascape. It had the texture of cheesecake almost. The server was the right pace for us, gave us an extra tasting of their new rosé, and was generally pretty friendly. I liked that the venue was lowkey and had a nice shaded indoor sunroom in addition to the outdoor patio. Fans for a nice breeze and blue skies. The owners live on the premises too. We bought 2 bottles of wine (white blend and rosé) which we didn't expect to! They're pretty inexpensive compared to other places too.

Small winery but it was really great! Apparently the owners live on the property, so it's really nice. Pours were nice and they were all paired with a recommended cheese. This was the first time we had done a specific cheese/wine pairing at a winery, so it was kinda cool to see the relationship between the cheese and the wine. We ended up buying a bottle because we wanted to support this place! Really great place, highly recommend!

This is a cute little down home spot. Had the option to sit in a covered patio or outdoors- opted for outdoors since it was a nice day. Seriously felt like you were sitting in someone's backyard. The views are pretty and the service was good. It was nice and small. A few other tables were occupied - and we were chit chatting back and forth which was awesome. My favorite wine to try of course was the dessert wine .... liked it so much even bought a bottle. The cheese pairing that came with the tasting was awesome too! Loved trying some new cheeses.

3 items in, 3 left on the plate. Love a good cheese pairing.

Love a good cheese pairing! They have a lovely outdoor patio. Usually one dog allowed per group but they allowed our two small dogs because it wasn't very busy on a Thursday. Reservations were easy to make my phone. Cute little swing area, and nice view of Paso. The wines were all great. Happily purchased a few to go and one paired perfectly with that evening's rib eye dinner.

Decided to check out this winery on our way to Eberle and so glad we did. Wines were excellent. We loved all 7 that we tried. Peaceful outdoor tasting setting. Rachel was awesome and so informative and fun. We truly enjoyed our time here. The cheese pairings were perfect. Bought a bottle of all the wines we tasted! Going home happy.

Love this winery! The wine is not acidic or mineraly Like some of the other Paso wineries! Jesus was an awesome host and we loved the wine so much I signed up for the club! Bonus, they pair their wines with cheese and goodies!! Make sure you bookmark this spot. It's next to Robert Hall.

We stumbled across this gem. Rachel was awesome--accommodating, sweet, funny and knowledgeable. Being vegan, we opted out of the complimentary cheese tasting, but love that they offer it. Bottom line. Quant spot and the wines were really good. It's a must stop!

Loved visiting Mitchella! They were very accommodating and friendly, and the view was beautiful and relaxing! We tasted 6 wines with cheese pairings and ended up buying a number of bottles, so our tasting fees were waived. They have fun names for their wines that a have a story, which makes the experience more interesting! All the wines were easy on the palate, with the more intense reds having more complex flavors. Definitely recommend and would love to go back!

I liked all five wines on the tasting menu, including the rosé, which is new for me because I don't usually love rosés. I ended up getting another glass of the Barbera after we finished the tasting. Let me preface this with this - I rarely write reviews, and never have had to write a bad one…read moresadly. I believe sometimes companies have off days, and employees may have a bad day, which can affect one's experience, thus I dont let one bad experience ruin a company's review. But when it comes to my CHILD, you best believe i will never forgive and forget or let our experience be forgotten. We visited this winery expecting a relaxing, family-friendly experience and instead left with our daughter crying after being scratched in the face near her eye by the owner's off-leash dog. What makes this especially frustrating is that the winery's own rules state dogs must be leashed, yet the owners' dogs were roaming the property freely. Our daughter was calmly petting one of the dogs with me standing directly beside her when the dog suddenly growled and scratched her across the face. This was completely unprovoked and witnessed by the owner himself, who said absolutely nothing afterward. No apology, no concern, no accountability. An employee later approached us and said, "Sorry, he's old and maybe didn't like that she was the same height as him, which made him react".....which felt less like accountability and more like an absurd attempt to excuse why a reactive dog was allowed to roam off leash around guests and children. We also observed the dogs behaving territorially toward other leashed dogs on the property, making it even more inappropriate that they were allowed off leash in a public setting. My father-in-law is a VERY well known, well respected, and prominent winemaker in Virginia and across the United States, if you know anything about wine, you know him. So lets say, we understand winery culture and hospitality, fairly well. Had something like this happened on his property, it would have been handled immediately and professionally with genuine concern for the injured guest.....especially a child. Watching the owner casually continue on in his conversation with whomever, and pet the dog like nothing happened while our daughter screamed and cried was honestly unbelievable. In my opinion, not worth the visit for the subpar wine, if you want to take your children/dog somewhere. The poodles were friendly to me, and other adults, until we saw their behavior to other dogs & then my child....The complete lack of concern from ownership after a child was injured was shocking. Frankly, they are fortunate we chose not to escalate the situation further. Parents should absolutely be cautious visiting here with children or pets. An off-leash dog with territorial behavior has no place interacting freely with guests. Absolutely shocked and the owner should be ashamed of his actions & response (or lack there of) to the situation.

The tour started at 10am cause it would be too hot to be outside in the afternoon. Our tour guy was very professional and knowledgeable about this massive vineyard resort. The tour took about an hour and half and finished with wine tasting in the resort tasting room. We were introduced to the entire property, history and facts about this winery. I really liked the cute goats on the ground. I was worried about them being in the heat and out in the sun. But our tour guy assured me that they made sure the animals stay in shaded areas and drink enough water to stay hydrated. The arts of this place are just fantastic. Owner is a big art collector so he covers quite a few cultures including Buddha (my faith)! All the arts are from the original countries so they are authentic. I loved the amazing art installations throughout the vineyard. My sign Virgo was on the top of the hill so we had to do a mill hike to see it. There is an art tour that we will do next time. I really want to know the details and histories of all the arts here. I was so glad that we decided to do this tour. If you ever visit Paso Robles wine country you might want to check this winery out. The prices were reasonable at $45 per person, $30 for resort guests and complimentary for members (2 people). The hours are Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays at 10am. Reservations are required. Ps. I'd suggest not visit in summer, central coast summer temperatures are unbearable!

Yeah, I didn't believe it either, but then I saw a sign in their vineyard that proved me wrong. It read: "Water into Wine" And now, I'm a believer! So what brought us to this magical place you ask?? Well, besides the obvious (the wine).... It was the.... ok you caught me!! We came for the wine! Yeah, we were staying at the Ava Hotel in Paso for my wife's birthday weekend (definitely check this place out if you are looking for a beautiful spot to call home away from home) And being that we were in wine country.... We wanted a nice outdoor vineyard where our kids could be outside, run around, and get all of their energy out all while Mommy & Daddy had our own little R&R time sippin' on the good stuff. And let me tell you, it was Good Stuff! When we first arrived at Sculpterra, we already knew the place was going to be a hit as the parking lot was hoppin. And apparently we weren't the only ones that got the memo that this place was THE PLACE to be as it was just a little bit off the beaten trail from where we started out... Approximately 6 miles from "Downtown Paso" (through the city limits, down the 'ol country back roads and suddenly we were in wine country!) Prior to heading to the vineyard, we did a quick pit stop at McDonalds for the kids so they had something they liked. As for me and my wife, we opted to get some of the local fare items offered on site, cause what goes better with wine than a yummy charcuterie board? I'll answer that momentarily! But wait, theres more!!!! Upon finding a nice little table outdoors to sit and relax with our wine chilled in a bucket of ice, there was suddenly music to our ears and Love to my eyes! Yes, there was lovely Live Music being played by a band and out of the corner of my eye, I spotted a food truck serving Mexican Food from a local Mexican restaurant. Remember earlier when I said what goes better with wine than a charcuterie board? Well, if you guessed a little Mexican Food, then you are oh so right, but only in moderation! So in order not to ruin the good vibes of the beautiful vino from Sculpterra, I opted for just one taco and a cup of their poblano soup and man was it fire. The soup was piping hot and it had a kick of spice that made me spice from ear to ear. As far as the wine, the vineyards vibe and the entire aesthetic of the grounds, Sculpterra Winery & Sculpture Gardens (the vineyard was adorned with many abstract and contemporary pieces that are all photo worthy), this place checks all the boxes. The place is kid friendly as there is plenty of space, both indoors and out, with areas for the kids to throw a ball, run around, or even learn to play a g as a game of chess. A decent variety of Reds, Whites, & Blends are all up for grabs, so if you find yourself in Paso Robles with the fam or its just you and your hunny, definitely come check this place out and watch the miracle of them turning water into wine!
