On the surface not too bad
    Lori R.

Let's just say I ended up here due to circumstances beyond my control (it's near the hospital). Let's just say I would never end up back here due to circumstances in my control or otherwise again. That being said, a night was survived here relatively unscathed. (there is a bit of haunting of the gross factor lingering). To say we were tired when we checked in is an understatement, so at first it looked not horrible, although the room smelled like stale smoke. Then we left and got a quick bite at a nearby Cafe Yumm, and when we returned we started to notice the warts. Smoke detector dangling from the ceiling, what looked like blood stains on the back of the comforter on one bed, stains like someone had sprayed a can of beer or something on the wall by the door, frayed carpet by the kitchen area with broken glass. Under any other circumstance we would have been out of there and in search of something else. Cannot recommend.

This was one disgusting hotel. I check in and 5 minutes later I check out. After getting my room keys, I headed to my room and found that the room had no number on it except a hand written black ink number on the side of the door. What shock me was the room reeks of nasty orders, smoke and dirtiness. Both bed was not clean plus it had dirty towels with stain on the bed by the pillow. Dirty latex gloves on the coffee tables. Bathroom was just disgusting!!!! Don't go to this hotel!!!! It don't even deserve a one star but the front service lady was very apologetic and keep saying sorry.

Just got out of shower. Less than 5 minutes on the floor.

Aside from friendly staff and budget rates, this place has NOTHING to offer. Bring your own wash cloth (really!), soap, and other toiletries normally offered by even the cheapest of lodging. Besides this, the room was filthy. Blood Staind on bedspread, walls and doors covered in dirty handprints and some unidentifiable substances, and the floor was so dirty my white socks were black within minutes. I told the office and they offered to change my room. If I were here more than 1 more night I would. Initially had 10 nights booked but getting refund and going somewhere else. Oh yeah, bring you hotspot too cuz the WiFi is horrible. Also the TV channels we're limited to less than 5 with NO major networks available. Hmph.

Our Room was nice and clean . Bed made with Fresh crispy sheets with a thin blanket To top . There is No bed spread, pillows Are flat and lifeless, the kind you need to fold in half and still suck . Haha . Bath towels thin and worn out . Horrible to use after your shower . Room had a small kitchenette . Tiny sink old ass microwave that sucks , 2 stove top burners to cook on . No kitchen supplys no pot or pans , no dishes new silverware no glasses to drink out of no coffee pot no toaster . Large fridge with freezer . Lots of empty cubbard space in the kitchen one can use for whatever needs a spot to be in . Old thin dead carpet , 3 door dresser for your clothes one night stand and no hangers to hang your clothes no closet either , but you get Showtime and air conditioning with free Wi-Fi and laundry on site. Another plus is the great location were right were we need to be . Cheers .

Just so gross I can't even relax...

This place is completely gross!! If I would of known... spend $10 more and stay at the motel 6..... stains on the bed. Stains on the walls dirt marks everywhere. Smells of very very stale smoke. Cigarette burns in the bed spread, carpet oh and toilet seat!! Stains on the carpets. I'm so grossed out and can't even relax....

You can never be too careful. Don't forget the smoke detector protector.

Kate at the front desk checked me in and she remembered my name and I appreciated her hospitality and welcome. I don't always get to do the breakfast but this visit I was so happy to enjoy an incredible spread of scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, toast, English muffin, breakfast danish, you can make your own waffles, and there is oatmeal with almonds and cranberries and brown sugar. Orange juice and coffee are standard and they have a breakfast kombucha if you want something a little healthier and probiotic. They also have a happy hour with regional wine, bubbles, and local beer for really reasonable prices if you just need a refresher after getting back to the hotel. The location is unbeatable with just a couple of blocks to excellent places to eat downtown like The Davis, and the Eugene Public Library nearby.

The Saturday Market, Lion & Owl, VooDoo Donuts, Metro Cinema, Oregon Contemporary Theater, etc. I love that the room has hardwood flooring rather than some old tired carpeting. And that the ceiling - and some walls - have real wood paneling (not the kind in basements in the '70's). The breakfasts that are included and are generous - fresh fruit, bacon/sausage, eggs, fried potatoes, waffle bar, danishes, etc. The front desk is staffed 24/7. Friendly staff, clean rooms, and again, location, location, location!

Had brand new fresh smell upon entering, no outdated or worn furniture, and bed/bed linen top notch. I would have given this hotel a 5/5 had it not been for the breakfast- Breakfast food tasted a little bland and not a wide selection for items.Flavor wise, I would compare it to something you'd get from a hospital (3/5 stars). Noise level-5/5. No noise at all on 3rd floor! Pool/spa area: 3.5/5. Would have been a 5 except hot tub felt luke-warm and jets were not real powerful. Front desk: 0/5 for woman working during the day hr shift. My husband said he overheard her speaking to a guest of how she likes to pick up the phone-not answering, and then hanging up on the customer-She explained that she does this because she feels that if a customer needs something so bad, that they can get up and walk to her desk and ask. I will be contacting corporate on her behavior for that. I'm not going to give this motel anything lower than a 4 based on on one staff member because I am basing this score off of the hotel, itself.

Trucks that park in the rear lot are only a short distance from family homes. Despite repeated letters, phone calls, and in-person requests, the hotel has not addressed this ongoing problem. Engines are routinely left idling for extended periods, creating constant noise, diesel exhaust, and pollution that make it difficult for nearby residents to rest or sleep. Oregon law prohibits commercial motor vehicles from idling for more than five minutes within any continuous 60-minute period, except under specific exemptions, however those exemptions are only for temperature control and not to exceed 4 hours. Excessive engine noise violates local noise and pollution ordinances, this is a fact. Shout out Jose- Manager training a new lady. Amazing guy. Front of hotel looks much better than the rest of it Who ever works the night shift 10/28 front desk.. probably shouldn't be in hospitality. I went down... spoke to him, he looks at me and straight ignored me. I was going to go down and get my welcome gift that you usually get when checking in but it was such a turn off.. I just left. The AC in the room reeeks of mold. I hate this with hotels because Mold actually can get you sick. ( should know this). Plus I had my baby with me. They lied to me earlier today about being sold out for tonight. Funny thing is, I worked with Hilton. I know systems are slow to update but the room I did request is still up tonight . It's 11:32pm. ( yes Guest can still check in) however it's somewhat unlikely being that we are out of tourist season in this area. Also room had no body wash. Not a hard fix but just had conditioner and a bottle of shampoo sitting on side of tub. Either way to end this review: 1. Rooms were decently clean. That's what Matters the most. 2. Last night staff I get it. Don't be fake but do realize... attitude within hospitality matters here in America lol. 3. I'm not a slow cookie. I don't like being lied to Hilton. :/. ---- I didn't take pictures this time but photos looked decently accurate. 3 stars is what I would give it. Would I stay again.. probably.

Unfortunately, my experience this evening was particularly unsatisfactory. I extended my stay by an additional day and went out this morning at 8:00 AM. I left a sign on the door requesting housekeeping services, such as fresh towels, bed making, and trash removal. I returned intermittently throughout the day from visiting a family member at the hospital, but these requests had not been fulfilled. At approximately 5:30 PM, I returned to my room expecting the services to be completed, but they had not been. I contacted the front desk, where I was informed that the housekeeping staff had finished for the day. I also inquired about the signs I had left, which were printed in English--however, I was told that the house keeping is only Spanish. As I understand, staff members should be trained to recognize and understand these signs regardless of language, to ensure guest requests are properly handled. When I discussed this with the front desk, they mentioned that the only assistance they could provide was towels, which would require me to leave the room and obtain them myself, as no housekeeping was available. I then carefully placed the trash in the designated cleaning areas which was still open and decided to depart for the evening. The front desk stated they could provide me with an email address for customer service to file a formal complaint and mentioned that they could inform a supervisor, but there was no guarantee of resolution. I intend to submit a formal complaint regarding the language barrier and the lack of understanding of housekeeping signage. I believe it is important that staff are properly trained so they can address guest requests effectively. Additionally, Saturday morning was also frustrating. The breakfast service did not open until shortly after the scheduled time, and the attendant managing the breakfast buffet was quite unpleasant, displaying aggressive behavior such as pushing chairs as if she was truly pussed off and without regard for the setup. The breakfast offerings were incomplete at the opening, with no bread, carbs, or pancake batter available, which was disappointing. On a positive note, I appreciated that the laundry facilities included at least one washer and dryer, which were affordable and in good working condition. The availability of laundry detergent at the front desk was also convenient. However, the coffee machines--offering mochas, espressos, and lattes--have been broken since our arrival, possibly even before, and it does not appear there are plans to repair them before the weekend. Overall, I am disappointed with this renovated property. It does not seem to meet the standards expected of a Best Western Plus hotel. As a member at the Diamond or Gold level, I believe all guests should receive consistent and quality service, and I am concerned that this has not been the case during my stay.

This message was provided in a email from manager after several times of trying to voice concerns. There was additional miscommunication with respect to breakfast hours on weekend as well. The BW headquarters eventually were only able to provide a minimal refund of points. I stayed at the Hilton only a few hundred feet away from this hotel just a week before and was super quiet the service was excellent. I will not stay at this hotel again!
