They honestly have good stuff, and I did have some great finds, but the staff was very unwelcoming. Absolutely no customer service and I felt very judged. No one said hi, or even smiled, but they have no worries gossiping with each other. They are more concerned about talking to each other that when you ask them a question, they will give you attitude for disturbing them. I went here for my first time with my daughter hoping to find some cool things. As soon as I saw a t-shirt from forever 21 that would sell about $12 new selling for $15 used I instantly was turned off- I am a professional seller and these prices for USED items were so inflated it was embarrassing to even be in the store. They sell as if everything is brand new. I didn't see anything designer either. If I wanted to spend money like that I'd rather just buy brand new. You claimed your people who work there are trained to research the values and resale value, what by a monkey? You're trying to sell a turd for $100. Quick update, I just wanted to note that the last time I visited, I was really impressed by the great selection of items as well as how well the staff work together as a team. SUMMER was doing a great job on the floor by hanging and bringing out the new items, while kindly letting me look through the new rack. Nicole is always so helpful and communicative. They really make the buying experience much more enjoyable. They are quick to have down to earth conversations and always gives great tips on great food around the area. Although STEFAN is no longer at the location, LAURA is doing a great job supervising and making sure customers are taken care of. Really appreciated the service I received. Went here to sell. Followed their selling guide pretty well I thought, except they don't state anywhere on their website they don't take fast fashion brands? The person I sold to said they don't take "target, forever 21.." and the like, even though I saw multiple Zara, target brand, H&M branded items. I also had so many vintage items from the 90s that would've fit the style of their store. It's a shame, because they're missing out on some good items that I just don't fit anymore! He didn't take a single item. Came with 4 huge garbage sized bags. Also only took him 30 minutes to go through the entire thing, which makes me feel like he didn't go through as thoroughly as it seemed. Wouldn't waste your time coming here to sell, maybe if you only have a couple items that are "not fast fashion" branded and can wait at least an hour to sell. read more

I stopped in for a quick bit and was surprised at what I saw. I have found good things in the past and I understand that it is hit or miss. However, I saw things with stains, holes and severe pilling for $12 and up. I've sold here before and had designer items turned away. Yesterday was a bunch of H&M and Zara. Crossroads is a medium sized vintage and consignment clothing store housing an organized selection of used clothing in the latest styles. Brands range from H&M, American Eagle, Banana Republic, Lucky Jeans, BCBG, Joe's Jeans, Louis Vuitton and Fendi (those two high-end purses were in a locked glass case), and many other labels. I even found Martin+Osa, a defunct label that I miss. The store, located behind Conroy's Flowers and next to Rite-Aid, buys and gives credit for fashionable and gently used clothing, shoes, purses and wallets. I did notice some wallets that were in more worn condition, but were from known brands like Gucci and Coach. For sellers, 35% of the price they plan to sell the item at will be given and for those who opt to receive store credit, they will receive 50% of the price at which Crossroads tickets your item. The store offers a drop-off service for those who wish to sell or trade their clothes; the value of the items will be determined and you will receive a call when they have calculated the price for which you can sell or trade. This option would be good if you don't want to wait. Your driver's license is required for sale or trade-in, and for every $100 worth of clothes you sell or trade, a reusable Crossroads bag will be given. I found the people working there nice and knowledgeable about current fashions and brands. I asked about a brand I hadn't worn in the past (Lamb & Flag) and wasn't too familiar with, and I was given an honest answer about the quality and status of the brand: good, but not designer. One cool thing they do is that if you bring your own bag to purchase items, they will make a donation to a charity. I would go to this store more often if it was closer to home as I find this a fun place for vintage shopping with items that are often in very good condition. The pricing is fair, in my opinion, and there were some items marked at 50% off when I went. If you're in the area, it's worth browsing. They told me the clothes I brought weren't in the season they were looking for, but I brought everything from shorts, pants, tshirts, button ups, cardigans, sweaters, and light jackets. I shop at a LOT off crossroads (Pasadena, silverlake, los Feliz, etc). And I have to say- the staff here are so kind. They really exemplify service. I watched them greet every person and never made anyone wait in line for more than like, 20 seconds. They stopped their clothing buys or came from sorting racks to help. I know, it seems like basic retail common sense but if you shopped at the Melrose or Silverlake store you'd know what I mean. So serious kudos to whoever runs this one because your staff and store are very well run. read more

I can understand the negative reviews here concerning selling your clothes for credit/cash. I went on their website first to confirm what brands/style they were accepting here and I had those brands to sell but they didn't accept them (all saint, Levi's shorts, Zara...) I understand that they are looking for spring fashion but exactly what is considered spring here in Irvine? I did think that the clothes they had to sell here were cute but kinda pricy for a thrift store. I doubt I would sell here again but I would definitely shop here if I was in the mood. read more

I've been a loyal crossroads customer for over 5 years but I am disappointed by the current system they came up with in response to COVID. The new policy is: you have to drop off all your stuff and 3 days later you can come back and pick up what they don't buy from you, but everything they take is already priced and put out without your consent. In other words, they no longer give you an opportunity to approve or accept an offer on clothes you want to consign, which seems sketchy and like you could totally get ripped off. (Ex: if I drop off a dress valued at $200 and normally they'd offer me $30 for it, I have no way of knowing that they won't offer me $5 for it and pocket the extra cash). Doesn't seem very efficient, I think you guys can definitely do better-- maybe an appointment system or an online photo submission option to get estimates before we drop our stuff off? Hoping a better solution can be reached and then I will definitely be back! read more

Meh. Very limited selection of menswear if you are shopping for your fella. If your shopping for yourself, ladies, the clothing assortment is targeted for tiny gals (size 0-6) which is major bummer. The half off rack is slim pickings too. I see the plus size rack is for sizes 12-16. I didn't realize my gals and I are now plus sizes ladies. Ha! Never coming back here! Their exchange rate for clothes is close to nothing. I came here with 50 trendy brand new items worth a little over $350. They left me 7 items out of the 50 I brought and gave me $140. I saw that they had my items in the back. Brand new never worn Adidas Shoes worth $70 were priced at $32.50. It kind of just felt like I was gyped. The workers there were also not very nice upon entering to pick up, I felt judged and not welcome. but those working while I dropped off were helpful. Many of the items they buy in store aren't that stylish, so if you're looking to get some cute clothes, go to the crossroads in Costa Mesa or just don't come at all. read more

I had higher expectations for this store. After waiting an hour for the employee to go through my bags, he only selected one item. This store is way to worried about a particular "style." Not everyone feels or looks flattering in those specific styles. This store is very much geared to the ideal skinny trendy girl. I was not happy walking out of this store. I would much rather shop at a Goodwill. My advice would be to try to be inclusive in style and size. Not everyone wants to buy lululemon! I work at a buy sell trade so I understand the process. I understand that they do not take fast fashion and nothing with a lot of wear and trendy clothes. I came in with a bag full of Gym Shark, amazing condition and they took none of it. Gym Shark is a great quality workout brand and not cheap so to pass on all this Gym Shark is mind blowing. Just seems the workers at this store buy clothes based on what the buyer would wear and in the end, you live is SoCal next to Newport Beach so to not buy workout wear that is a popular brand with no tear and barely wear is crazy. The process took less than 10 minutes for them to look at 2 full bags of clothes so I don't believe the workers truly look at brands or even looked up prices on the clothes they did buy. Internet is a thing! I suggest looking more at brands that will sell especially in the location you are located. Would not sell at this location again. Definitely an interesting experience selling here today. I brought in about 200 items of clothing to sell, some free people, urban outfitters, CAbi, lucky brand, lulu, lululemon, forever 21, and some random brands from Macys/Nordstrom, all in amazing shape. The buyer only purchased one of my items, an urban outfitters bodysuit. Before I even asked why he didn't purchase the other items he told me it was because they don't purchase fast fashion. I even brought in a bunch of items that they said they were buying for this season I.e. pink, butterflies, beaded embellished, etc. all purchased recently. The buyer wasn't interested in any of those items and labeled them "fast fashion" yet I saw SHEIN items throughout the store. Definitely disappointed that the buyer called my high end clothes fast fashion. I wasn't expecting him to buy everything, but weird that they passed up on things they have on their selling guide. This is probably the most organized and not weird smelling consignment place I've been to. Cleaned out my closet and decided to try this place out. I've sold at Buffalo Exchange in San Diego before and didn't think it was worth the effort back then. Since this place had good reviews, I decided to try it out. The store is very clean and organized by sizes and colors. The selling process was super fast and easy. You check in on the iPad and they will either call your name or text you. I brought in a mix of 7 for all Mankind, Free People, and BCBG. They took all the Free People and I got $37. Not too shabby! read more

This is not a friendly place to shop as it used to be. I have noticed that the last THREE TIMES visited the store in the period of six months, I was NOT greeted by any of the sale associates while they'd cheerful greeting anyone else especially non Asian faces. At first I thought I was being too sensitive but after a few observations, i found my answer. There's a large Asian population in the community and I have seen an increasing amount of Asian customers in their store. I won't go back and support a local business with obvious racial discrimination like this. If you have a non-White face, be mindful about where you put your money into. Solid quality merchandise. You'll find a good mix of designer brand names with a few Forever 21 items mixed in. Prices for those higher end items, fair. Prices for those F21 items, inflated. Clean store, but my only gripe is that it's difficult to follow their sizing structure. I couldn't figure out if each small rack had a compliment of SML, or if it went down the line? Take a peek, and see if you understand it. Shoes were not organized by size, so that's annoying. Fair selection of men's clothes. Definitely more size Smalls than Med & Large. Sold here for the first time the other day. It was very easy and safe. Everyone wears masks inside and you wait for an employee to let you in to keep the number of people inside the store regulated. I dropped off my clothes and was told to come back a week later to pickup my cash. I felt the pricing was fair for what I turned in. The rest I had donated. Honestly, I used to sell a lot back in 2015/2016 when the old staff they had used to work here. However, my recent trip to Crossroads Trading Co. was a huge disappointment. Firstly, upon walking into the store, I noticed how their displays were not as appealing and filled with great pieces as it once did. I noticed the racks up front by the registers and windows were filled with less clothing. Even the glass display cabinet where they keep all their high end brand items was looking rather drab and empty. Next, I noticed that all the new staff who work here were not as friendly and welcoming as the old staff that I was able to communicate and have friendly conversations with. The new staff were not as welcoming. I had 9 large bags filled with various items (ranging from flowy tops, floral chiffon maxi dress, high end jeans like 7 for Humanity, tops by brands like Joie, brand new Tory Burch shoes in their box, shorts, casual tees, and even a vintage Tod's loafers (handed down from my mom). In the past when I sold here, the buyers would always, ALWAYS, take a lot of my stuff and I would walk out with at least $100-$200 in cash. This time, the new staff barely took any of my items. While they did take my Tory Burch shoes, the girl helping me said she assumed the Tod's loafers were fake. Which has never happened to me in the past with the old staff and managers. I explained to her that they were my mom's and that she NEVER owns fakes (have a visit in her closet and you'll see all her 20-30 Hermes Birkins and Kellys that she owns and the 3 Range Rovers she drives - welcome to my mom's world). I wouldn't have minded if they told me my items were fake; I can't afford a $20,000 Birkin bag. But for them to doubt my mom's items was a bit much. In the past, the buyers would always take my mom's Chanel, Gucci, Prada, etc. purses. Needless to say, I had such high hopes that I would walk out with the same amount of cash in the past, yet all I received was $32.40. I feel that the person who ended up looking through my bags did not have a good sense of what sells. Yes, I understand that each year, each season, they have their little Selling Guide brochure and they look for items in season. However, even items that I wanted to sell that were in season were passed on. Which would never have happened if the old staff and managers still worked there. They would have taken at least half the items I brought in. I know what my items are worth and I know what sells and what does not. In the past, the old staff would always let me know that the items they bought from me sold the next day or within a week. For the new staff assistant manager to tell me that most of the items I tried selling were not in trend or would not sell for their target demographic shoppers - just atrocious. I used to LOVE selling at this Crossroads. Sadly, I doubt I will ever return here again after this horrible experience with the new staff. I understand now after reading all the recent bad reviews why people are very disappointed not only at the staff's unwelcoming behavior and lack of buying/selling knowledge - this Crossroads has gone downhill. If Crossroads can start hiring the kind of staff that they used to have - professional, respectful, knowledgeable, friendly & welcoming - then perhaps more people will come to shop and the ratings will get better. Until then, I would stay away from this store and try your luck at a different consignment store to buy/sell. read more

I had experienced very poor customer service and judged from the start for this consignment store. I walked in and tried to be friendly to the very young manager. She was robotic and could tell had no intentions to offer friendly customer service. I believe young adults do not understand how it is important to speak clearly and concisely as well as know what true customer service is about. Anyway, regardless it was pretty offensive that she judged me from the start and no intentions to buy anything from me. Trust me when I say, I had a huge box full of something that was consignment compatible ... Even nicer than some of the merchandise in the store: The experience was pretty shocking ... Especially since I walked in and said to Melissa how happy I was to find their store. I drove 30 minutes and dragged in a very big box that I could hardly carry. Everything in the box was within a few years old and style up to date for women ranging from 26 to 40. It was very deceiving based on the website and photos from other locations. I understood they would not have accepted all the clothes but selling to a young lady who has her mind set on a particular style at 26, you can tell it is quite biased and not the classy fashion I expected that you would get for various ages and styles instead very cheap looking styles. I was in this location this morning and had a frustrating experience. I got there to sell right when they opened at 11am and there was only 2 people in line in front of me. It took the buyers 40 minutes to get to my buy which is understandable. At 11:40 ish they started to do my buy it took her about 2 hours to go through my clothes! The wait was absolutely insane I was at this location until 1pm! The workers are slow and are chatty with each other. I was beyond frustrated with the amount of time I had to wait. As a certified buyer myself at a different franchise, these are outrageous wait times. I appreciate them going though my clothing and buying some but it was not worth the wait! read more

Similar to the other reviews, I Had came in with a large bag of either very well kept or brand new and trendy clothing including brands such as Steve Madden, gymshark, topshop, and Zara. The associate working didn't even seem like he took his time to even analyze what I had brought in as it literally took him basically 2 minutes to look at almost 50 pieces of clothing. Very surprised that nothing in the bag interested them at all especially since I took a loop around the shop and noticed that 90% of the stuff they were selling were outdated and definitely out of season. I helped my mother clean out here closets. She brought in 8 bins FULLLLL of clothes. Most were name brand(express,KUT,coach,MK And many more) it was at least 350 items of clothing. It took them 3 days from them appraise these items. Upon arrival of the date they told us to come back they were still going through the items. We were willing to come back but they said they were almost done. After loading all eight bins back to our car full of clothes they excepted four items of clothing totaling $27. FOUR ITEMS. They said we could take the rest to the goodwill. Their Website states they can keep the items and donate them. That's was not the case at this store. Their clothing they had in store were outdated and hideous. Clearly we had completely different taste in clothing. I wish I had photos of the items we brought in because they were definitely worth money. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS LOCATION AT ALLL. read more
