I've traded my clothes multiple times. Know the procedure most of the time and came to this location to simply get rid of clothes. I brought a wagon filled with 5 full garbage bags. I felt like the manager was helping me out trade my clothes for me. I would try to strike a conversation just to be friendly. I felt she was defensive on how she was talking to me and didn't make me feel comfortable being there what so ever. She looked at my clothes and said I had a lot of fast fashion brands that they are not looking for, which is completely fine with me. But I was confused because as she was telling me those fast fashion brands as she was holding articles of clothes of the brands she claimed they were looking for and the styles. I would never comeback here to shop or trade my clothes because of the experience I had. I genuinely wish the interaction went more comfortable for her and I just as people. read more

I have been selling my clothes at different crossroads for years. I started out in San Francisco and worked my way over to this Studio City location. As a college student, I greatly appreciate stores like these. I give some clothes and gain some new ones. I do understand the frustration that people have with selling their name brand clothes. However, sometimes name brand doesn't mean fashionable. I have seen some god awful clothes that were designer names. I don't usually have name brand, but I keep my clothes in pretty nice condition. That is another factor when selling. If you have a designer shirt but it looks worn and tattered, the chance of them buying it is unlikely. I do sell a lot of my stuff at this location and what they don't take, buffalo exchange will mostly likely buy. Also, sizing has a lot to do with it. If the size is too small or too large, they will probably pass. That's why I took a star off. The clothes do run on the x-small side at times. read more

I wish I would have had all day to stay in this place. All kinds of clothes for all body types. They have their stuff really well organized. Lot of shoes too! Excellent prices and some of the tags have a stamp that says "1/2 off" which was a really nice surprise I bought dresses for 14 dollars and a nice knit top for three fity. I wish I would have read the reviews before wasting 2.5 hours at this place ugh! The girls who work here are beyond RUDE and unhelpful. I wouldn't waste my time trying to sell clothes to them. I had about 8 pairs of designer jeans, no more than 2 years old, they cost me between $160 - $240 a piece (JBrand, Joes, Rag & Bone the list goes on) They took back all 8 pairs and guess how much money I received back? $33.00. This is the best Crossroads I have ever been to. It has a great selection, it's clean and Kendra, not sure if she is still there, really did a great job training her buyers. I've purchased some great Alvin Valley pants, Autumn Cashmere sweaters and a great vintage Petro Zelia silk top (just a few of my favs). I've heard that a lot of local stylists sell some great designer items after they've used them in photo shoots. A lot of designers also sell their samples too. Since the inventory can change every hour, don't be discouraged if you don't find anything; I use to go everyday! read more

Unfortunately I'm too lazy to drive to the other Crossroads locations, so this ends up being the primary one I visit in the valley. I've taken huge Ikea bags of stuff to the store, for various seasons, and in great condition - no obvious signs of wear and tear at all. They've never bought anything, and I know they're not obligated to, but when they tell you things that seem hypocritical, it's pretty upsetting. I always get the "we're kinda stocked on these items" line. Brought in a pair of designer dressy wedges, never been worn as can be seen by the intact tag on the bottom of the shoe and the lack of dirt marks. Its a cork bottom in a darker hue on the sole of the shoe. The girl told me that it looks used and they wouldn't be able to sell it. Did I miss something? Isn't this a used clothing store? and it's obviously never been used, take a look at the bottom of the shoe. What upset me is the amount of shoes that look like they've been to hell and back that were on showcase to be sold. doesn't make sense. To make matters worse, I stood in front of their counter holding my one pair of shoes for about 20 minutes today without any acknowledgment, while the inconsiderate employees folded other shirts, checked schedules, etc. When I was finally ready to cash out with item, another customer bud me in line (where I'd been waiting for 10 minutes). I'm CERTAIN the cashier saw me there first but proceeded to help the other customer. Doesn't take a genius to work retail, but I guess it doesn't take much at all... I give this place 2 stars because I find some cute things every now and then. shopping is okay here, but don't waste your time selling to them. unless it's designer and bought a day ago, they won't look twice.. a little too snobby to be working at a second hand shop. They more appropriately belong somewhere on Rodeo Dr. where their attitude may be warranted. read more

This was my first time at Crossroads and I wasn't a fan. I felt this place was kind of dirty and messy. I usually go to Wasteland and Buffalo Exchange and was recommended this place when I asked if there were any other places that buy, sell and trade so I came here after shopping at Wasteland. I already didn't really like how the store was. It felt dirty to me. Of course, I don't judge right away, so I walked around the whole store trying to find something that was for me, but nothing. They don't carry the same stuff as Wasteland and Buffalo. Some of the clothes I saw already had holes or were really dirty. I saw some name brand stuff but they weren't cute anyway. I stop by today to sell some items. I went in with a small carry on suitcase and a bag of shoes. My weighted approximately 45 minutes until my name was called. I decided to shop around while the front desk associate went through my items. When I returned the suitcase was zipped up and she had told me that my items were all out of style and to old. I thought this was odd but because I was on a tight schedule I went ahead and left. When I got home I noticed that the suitcase that I had brought in had not been touched all of the clothes were folded exactly how I had them. What really made me wonder was because I had items that were just purchased and some high end label new items. This is just a note to be aware, if your time is as valuable as mine is. If you plan to sell, stand at the counter when they go through your items because either they're lazy, or they have preconceived judgment on what clothes you're going to bring in? Unfortunately this was a complete waste of my time.. very disappointed. Management should know about this. read more

Went in there to sell 6 pairs of shoes & sunglasses, walked out with all items but got credited for style? There was some janky shoes and said that they usually look for better condition. Sunglasses as well, no case no sale. She didn't even bother to take a good look at the shoes my whole customer service time was a total of 5 minutes. Very disappointed! read more

My amazing Dry cleaner told me to check this place out to sell clothing. This place has the worst customer service. I know I wish I could say they are awesome but no they really are pretty bad. I signed in the wait line and I put the option to have a text message sent to my phone when my appointment was next. I left the store and about 15 minutes later I gave them a call to ask them what would the ETA be and they told me that they already called my name and that I was passed. But to come in really soon and they could see me. Once I got to the place I let them know that I was waiting for a text message and that I never received my text message thinking that they would have me next in line. Instead they made me wait another 10 minutes which was not so bad. I thought that they would apologize and try to be a little bit more accommodating but not so much. Once I began with the manager she was very rude and started talking to other people and ignoring my question. I wanted to start a new account and ask about the different pieces to bring in. But she wouldn't let me really ask her any questions. I kind of felt like it was a little bit of a waste of time and I decided to use my apps instead. Going there for a random piece or looking for a costume thing or something cheap for a budget would be OK. Hanging out with a friend to grab some secondhand store staff is cool but if you really want to sell something I'm using my applications instead. And waiting in line is not so bad of a waste of time but it feels a lot more of a waste of time when you deal with customer service on that type of level. I don't expect too much out of a secondhand store but I just expect people to have decent customer service. I wouldn't go back to the store again myself but for anyone else that goes there try to do your own shopping without asking any questions otherwise they kind a bum out the experience. I got turned on to this store a few years ago by my friend. You can expect to shop here and find sweet brand name and designer clothing at a fraction of the cost - if you look like Barbie or Ken. Their selection strongly caters to a very young " hip " crowd. I love to take advantage of an occasional hip pair of shoes, purse or accessorie. Definately reccomend if you are a s,m or l. Wow is all I can say! Absolutely scored here, unbelievable amount of high end designer merchandise and after I sold them my clothing and took the trade, I literally did not pay a penny for any of the items. They took most of my items and advised me to come back in the fall to sell my sweaters and coats. I cleaned out my closet and got great new items. They have a lot of clothes with tags still on as well. This place is a gold mine for gorgeous clothing. Emily helped me with my selling and she is extremely knowledgeable. Everyone is super nice there. This place has ruined me now for shopping retail. From now on, it is resale all the way. I am a huge fan! read more

I have a feeling people are complaining and putting extra on their negative reviews because you don't get much or they may not want to buy your stuff. I went this evening for the first time and had a nice experience. I stopped by to sell a pair of new shoes i bought online that i couldn't exchange for a bigger size or return. Crossroads bought them and though they gave me way less than i paid for i was just glad somebody paid (anything) for a pair of new cute shoes i had no reason to keep. Staff were very helpful and cool as hell i chatted with at least 3 different girls so it wasn't just one person. The guy on the phone days before was very helpful too. I'd say to anyone going here be realistic with the prices of you reselling new or used items, patient if there is a line ( i got lucky there wasn't ) and don't take the turn down personal and write an amped up review. That's bad karma lol. Ok all in all i highly recommend the store, street parking is what it is just park and walk don't be lazzzzy and yes i will be back if i ever need to get rid of any other items i get screwed over due to online shopping's sometimes ridiculous return and exchange policies. read more

Last week, the day before Thanksgiving, I walked into the store to return an item I purchased for store credit. I had the receipt in hand, walked up to the counter, and the young gal (who appeared to be new) went to ask for the manager, as she did not know how to handle returns. After the manager spoke with the new gal, I was told that I would not be given store credit due to "hygiene". I purchased a pair of earrings, 6 days prior, and they would not accept them as a return. The earrings were in the same condition as when I purchased them. This information about "we do not return earrings for hygiene reasons" was not given to me at the time of my purchase. There is no store policy posted anywhere in the store. And, it is not printed on the front or back of the receipt that "earrings are a final sale". If in fact earrings are a final sale "for hygiene reasons", then please train your staff to inform the customer PRIOR to making their purchase. You may want to consider printing a store policy on paper and have it posted on the glass counter, where it is visible to the paying customer. In addition, you may also want to inform your customers that they are not able to try on jewelry pieces while in the store, if you are truly concerned about hygiene. On a side note, I have been to many retail stores, tried on earrings in front of the sales associate and never had an issue. Most retail stores, including jewelry stores, allow their customers to try on jewelry pieces and place them back on the counter for sale. They accept returns with no problem. Never once have I been told "we do not return earrings for hygiene reasons" until I walked into Crossroads Training Co. in Studio City. I am not one to create a scene or cause chaos - that is not how I carry myself. I simply left the earrings behind on the counter and walked away. P.S. Terrible management/problem-solving skills. Make sure if you buy high end items (items behind the register), that you double check the authenticity. I bought a pair of yeezys here and being that they have "experienced" workers that verify the authenticity I assumed they were real. I didn't go on my phone to look for real vs. fake signs on the shoe before purchase. Sadly when I got home, a friend called my new item that I was so excited about fake. I did the comparison and sure enough my yeezys were fake af . Bummer. They allowed me to return the shoe, I showed photos of the real vs fake, they gave me a full refund . I tend to drop by when I need a little retail therapy and a makeover. I generally always trade stuff in, and certainly never leave without a bag full of treasures for an insane bargain price. Crossroads is for 'ballers on a budget' - all the high end designer duds at practically goodwill prices. This place is my fashion knight in shining armor...this past year my weight was up & down so it was really nice to be able to come here and reinvent myself several times without my wallet reaping havoc from my expensive taste. Crossroads is such a fun place to stop in and browse on a weekend with friends! Great quality vintage items with somewhat reasonable costs, while some are overpriced. Unfortunately, if you are willing to trade in items, employees can be slightly snobby and/or picky. While there are some minor flaws, would definitely recommend if you are a vintage and used shopper with free time. read more

This Studio City location was the first Crossroads experience in my life, and i must say the employees there didn't make me feel too welcomed, in fact they seemed to want to intimidate me. They make no eye-contact and walk around like you're not even there. I wanted to sell a few clothes and the guy at the counter acted very distant toward me. He rejected more than half of my items and made me feel cheap. It was not a pleasant experience but I have gone back because they do offer a variety of cute & trendy clothing for reasonable prices. read more

This place really is a hit or miss. Their picks are a little more sophisticated and hip than Buffalo Exchange, but they still carry $50 shoes there. Nothing used should cost that much in my opinion. It ruins the fun and goodness that comes with purchasing recycled clothing. read more
