Bought a 2014 IS 250 F sport about a month ago and it was the fastest transaction I've ever had at a dealership. I worked most of the deal out online and got a better deal that way. Internet sales manager was extremely fast at responding to my questions and literally within 3 hours (because I was working and wasn't able to responded to the manager as fast as he was responding to me) I had a brand new car rolling off the lot. This is a two part review - first and foremost I have had amazing service from Lexus - Tom Ryan has helped me a couple of times and both times was very thorough and considerate of my concerns. He gave me time frame of when service would be done on my car and followed up with me about half way through just to let me know that everything was looking good and on track. I was thrilled to get my car back and my IS feels as amazing as the day I got it... The second part was a little disappointing. I stopped into Crown to check out the IS250 in September to see the new models and the sales person was very vague on pricing and options and was very pushy to get my car appraised to see what 'kind of deal' he could make with me... he didn't offer a test drive or to open other cars up to see aside from the model in the show room. It was even more disappointing because I wanted to bring my parents in to see the ES as I had it as a loaner and they really enjoyed it. So instead of selling two cars the service department won me over by being superior in customer satisfaction. Perhaps it is that I am in sales that I expect more - but I didn't even get a follow up call from the sales person. Wow, what a difference 4 years makes. When I first bought my Lexus 4 years ago, I was extrememly satisfied with Crown Lexus. Salesmen like Michael and Ray, and service advisors like Tony and Stephen really made me happy that I decided to buy my Lexus at Crown Lexus when I was close to purchasing the same Lexus at another dealership. Over the past 4 years, these guys did not dissapoint and always treated me well when I came here for scheduled maintenance visits. Well, that all changed this weekend when I went in for a scheduled oil change. So let me back up a little bit - over these past 4 years I receive notices in the mail all the time from Crown Lexus that sometimes inlcude service specials. Some are intriguing, others are not. The one that caught my eye recently was an oil change for $48. The notice read that the oil change special is for 0W20 oil, which is what my car takes. The fine print read "up to 5 quarts of oil" and my car takes almost 7; so I thought ok, I'll pay the extra fees for the extra 2 quarts of oil. I should walk out of the dealer paying about $60 - $70 when all the extra fees/taxes are applied to the service special of $48. So back to this weekend, I show up for my appointment with Ali Shekeb. First time I meet him but from the moment I did, I felt the "bait and switch" personality you get from a lot of people in the auto tech industry. (None of the gentlemen I mentioned above fall into this category.) Anyway, he sees me with the service special notice in my hand and right away says that my car takes synthetic oil so I'm looking at at least $100. I say "no, my car does take synthetic oil, but the fine print on your notice states that the $48 special includes 0W20 oil which is what my car takes". He gets rude and states "You're at a Lexus dealer man, if you pay $48 we're not going to make any money". (Yeah, he said that!) So I raise the notice so he can see it better and say "Uh it says CROWN LEXUS right here at the top, it's YOUR dealer and YOUR special, so the least you can do is honor YOUR notice and I'll pay the extra fees for the extra oil." He responds with "yeah but that's an imperfection on our notice because synthetic oil is at least $100 so the notice shouldn't include 0W20 oil." Wow, how is that my problem? That's not an imperfection, it's called false advertising! Go to any other business and they'll honor their prices even if they posted the price wrong, happens all the time...this isn't complicated. So anyways, he tries to soften his stance and says that he'll try to work with me since I made the drive to the dealership. After 5-10 minutes of him finishing up with another customer, he returns and gives me a final price of $70. I say "That's actually a really good price since I'm at a dealership, but you're charging me an extra $22 in taxes and the extra oil?" He says "No, I can't honor that service special notice because of the imperfection on the notice, what I'm doing is coming down from our dealer price of $100 and giving you a discounted price of $70 out the door." This was key. If he would have stated yes, it's another $7.50 for each quart of oil and another $7 in taxes and waste fees, or something along those lines, then I would have been satisfied and paid the $70. But he didn't say that and instead stuck to his bait and switch tactics. That's where I got fed up and started walking away declining his final price of $70 and he said "Do you want us to at least wash it for you?" Wtf?! Really?! I responded with "No, I'll rather pay $20 to have someone else wash it for me than getting a free courtesty car wash from your dishonest dealership. And I have no problem paying $70 for an oil change, that's actually a great dealer price but that's BS, this is YOUR notice and you're not honoring it." He had no response to that remark of mine and directed his attention elsewhere. Not even a "Have a good day" or anything. I guess he must have slept through the customer service training. So I got in my car, drove off and will never return to Crown Lexus again. I know it's petty but I don't like liars. Ironically, I'm actually a little glad this happened. This fall I'll be needing a crossover/SUV and have decided that I'm going to lease this time around. Since I'm close to paying the Lexus off, I now plan to lease a new car every 3 years so I already started shopping and have shortlisted my options to Mercedes and Lexus. But with the horrible experience with Mr. Ali Shekeb, my decision got a whole lot easier. Yeah I know I'll be paying an "arm and a leg" for an oil change on a German car but as long as they're honest with me, unlike Crown Lexus, I'll have no issue paying the extra money. And who wants to drive a new Lexus nowadays when Toyotas have nearly the same look and options as their "luxury line". No luxury in that. German cars, here I come. I have tried to get in touch with the general manager through phone as well as email and no response so her I am leaving a negative review. If you want quality and someone not to treat you just like a number don't some here for service! Long story short- I paid for rim repair if scratched or dented. I had 1 rim repaired and when I go to the location to pick up the car it looked horrible. They fixed it again and it looked better but not great. I took the car and within a month the clear started to come off. I then requested to take the car to another lexus, obviously this dealership couldn't get it right. The service manager, Glenn, stated that he has the best rim guy around. Well 3rd time should be a charm. Least this time I need both rims on passenger side repaired, so when I go and the color doesn't match its OK because it's atleast on the same side of the car. Also, no one checked the car prior to my pick up and the rim looked chipped but just dirty. Glenn's response when I asked him if anyone did a Quality check on the car was that they have so many cars going through that I should have called him to tell him I was on my way. If someone would have cleaned the rim I most likely would not have noticed the orange peel. I then call to talk the the GM, he was out so I emailed and now its been about two weeks and no response. read more

This is going to be a long review, but I truly feel that Crown Lexus/Bryan Churchill deserves to be recognized for the amazing service my significant other and I received while purchasing a vehicle here over the weekend. (: My boyfriend had been looking for a Toyota Tacoma for a few months now, he's really picky and we finally got it down to 3 trucks he wanted to see. 2 of them in San Diego, 1 in Ontario. We originally were going to see the San Diego trucks first but decided to go see the Ontario one because it was closer, so why drive farther if this could be the one he really wants. When we got to the dealer ship we where immediately greeted by Bryan as we walked in the front entrance. He right off the back was extremely friendly and welcoming. Jose (my boyfriend) had told him that he came to look at a certain vehicle they had. We all proceeded to the lot and tried finding the truck. Unfortunately it wasn't out on display yet because it had only been there for 6 days and was getting everything checked and all. Bryan had told us to wait so he can see if we would be able to drive and see the truck. He didn't even know that Crown Lexus had the vehicle because of how new it was haha. We were the first customers to see it! Which made us happy. It all worked out, as he was going to see what was going on with the truck another employee who works there was giving him the keys to let him know about the new vehicle they had received. They brought the truck out and we were test driving it in no time. My boyfriend fell in love with the Tacoma, and I did too honestly. It's a beautiful truck and is in perfect condition. The thing that impressed us the most about Bryan is how easy he made the process of purchasing the truck! We where there for a couple of hours (like any dealership you would be) but we felt literally like family. Bryan took his time with us and explained everything perfectly to my boyfriend who is a first time dealer ship buyer. He usually pays cash for all his vehicles, but wanted an upgrade from his older Tacoma. Bryan made sure that he was comfortable with the purchase and was happy with the deal. He even gave us pizza that was for the employees I assume, because we were going to leave to get something to eat since he told us it would be another hour of waiting for the deal with the bank to go through but he informed us that it's a first come first served basis with dealing with the banks and if we left we would be loose our spot and we were second in line. Even doing something small like that is what really makes customers see how great of an employee he is! As were dealing with the financial aspect Bryan had told us that the truck was ready to go all it needed was a wash and that it should be ready in no time. When all of that was over we were waiting for the truck to get done with its wash/detailing. The financial lady who help us (she was so friendly, her name is Rose Ruiz. Definitely recommend her as well to do the whole financial stuff!) went to go look for Bryan to see where the Tacoma was at. As she was walking towards us she let us know that Bryan was washing the truck for us lol! We were in awe honestly, the amount of dedication he puts to making sure that it all gets done and we are satisfied customers is just incredible. He lets us know that the crew in the back was backed up with work so he wanted to do it himself that way the truck was ready. We have never met a sales guy so nice before. And he did a great job with cleaning the inside and outside of the vehicle. My boyfriend definitely left knowing he made the right decision! If you are ever interested in a car at Crown Lexus we definitely recommend Bryan Churchill. He will not disappoint, 100% great customer service. This review literally doesn't do him justice. I didn't even go over other things that impressed us but I think you all get the point of how amazed we are. Thank goodness we didn't go to San Diego first. I want to start out with I received an excellent deal on a used Toyota Corolla for my daughter. Maybe that was why some of customer service you would expect from a car dealership didn't happen. Upon taking delivery of the car, all I got was a hand shake and thank you from my sales rep. No offer to show me how to work any of the features that came with the car. No assistance on connecting my phone to the Bluetooth. They didn't even provide a full tank of gas! I have purchased 3 cars in the past 4 years and this is the first time the car didn't have a full tank of gas. For being high end dealership, I just didn't get that feeling of being well taken care of. Maybe they save that kind of service for when you purchase a new Lexus from them. read more

He must've thought I was Chinese and asked me if I am and my response, "no, only English." Fair enough, I sat in back seat when he drove the car out of the lot when my friend wanted to test drive. I was on a mission for a Lexus NX and went to Longo Toyota first where the salesman appeared very angry and upset at the fact that I was there to buy a car. My second stop was Newport Lexus in which the salesman accused me of lying about the deal I received at Longo and went on to tell me that the "car business is cutthroat." This is either a scam dealership or they just don't know what they're doing. I attempted to purchase a NX 450 at full MSRP. I decided to purchase the car via Lexus's Monogram program but was talked out of it, first red flag. They ran a credit check and I put down a deposit via credit card and waited for the car to come in, when the car arrived, I was called and mailed the paperwork. I was going to pay for the car in full with a cashiers check but they made me fill out a credit application anyway, they said this was in case the cashiers check bounced, second red flag. They sent me a document "Statement of delivery outside California" that I was to sign and have notarized even though it was not being delivered outside of California, I was told the was just to verify my identity, third red flag. I was also sent and told to sign the " "Statement pursuant to section 6247 of the California sales and use tax law" which states that this vehicle will be delivered to me at an out-of -state address and if I bring the car back into the state of California I may owe use tax, fourth red flag. The finance manager Michelle told me they're a big company and that I had to sign that document or we couldn't move forward, and that was it for me. To be clear I paid California sales tax, lic and registration on top of MSRP, I live in California, the car would be delivered to me in California and the dealership is in California. I will be filing a complaint with the FTC for them trying to have me sign a false statement and have it notarized. FYI Beverly Hills Lexus is selling the same car for $3100 off MSRP but in a different color. Ontario Lexus sucks, with the exception of Oscar, he was the only person that I had confidence in. read more

Realizing that my battery died, I called AAA to purchase a new battery, but was told that batteries for my car were on back-order and they didn't have any in stock. My recent visit on 8/20/18- I originally had a made an appointment for 8:40 am to drop my Lexus to get an oil change since they placed a reminder notification on my car from my previous visit I was looking forward into coming in to see my Favorite Service Consultant Tino Ruiz since he always knows I am pressed for time especially with my hectic schedule. In the morning as I push start my car something didn't sound right so I called Tino at 7am when the Service Dept. and clearly explained the issues with my Lexus, he said "Don't worry about it, I will take care of it when you come in" to hear that honestly puts my stress level at ease. When I came in this morning, Tino greeted me with a smile and said it'll be okay we will resolve your issues on your car and I will keep you informed by phone or text to keep you posted. I left their in a rental they offered which was more than I could ask for. In addition to that they offer a wonderful wide range of refreshments and snacks while you wait. That screams 5 STARS in my book always! Crown Lexus always goes above and beyond for all their customers and their guests. To see some of these negative ratings I am utterly shocked because I have never ever had customer service. I figured if someone was upset or felt that their was miscommunication I would advise you ask to speak to Steve their Service Dept. Manager and he will be more than happy to hear you out and provide a solution. Both Tino and Steve take pride in their job and they truly value your time and your business at Crown Lexus. Overall, my visit today wasn't a big surprise Tino informed me that I needed to replace my battery and my oil change only and gave me an estimated list of the inspection and future things I needed to take care of for my future visit. No matter what, I always come back to Crown Lexus just because I am a happy Lexus customer and I having nothing but 5 stars for Tino and Steve in the Service Dept. and their entire staff. Lucky for me Lexus vehicles are amazing and don't require service often. If I had to come to this service dept regularly I would buy a different brand. I called in with several small items , a recall item and an oil change. One item was my rear view mirror fell off during our heat wave and just needs to be put back on with adhesive. The service manager says they don't do that type of service . My tail light keeps going out but they said it was on when they checked it so they did nothing, my intermittent wipers worked when they sprayed water on the windshield (it never works when it rains) so again they did nothing. They offered for $610 to replace my spark plugs..hmmmmm... but guys those are working so why not just leave them the way they are like everything else you have looked at on my car? The good thing about this place is, I got a loaner because of the recall service (it was on empty) but still a nice car, and the service adviser was nice but was gone for the day when I called about my car. In his defense it was after 5, the girl in the office said he would be there until 7. Oops. I'm picking up my car today , wish me luck. read more
