We have had a Kirby vacuum for about 20 years and it suddenly stopped working. We were at a loss because the lady we bought our Kirby from doesn't work with Kirby anymore, and we couldn't find a vacuum repair place nearby. My sister has come to this place before and recommended it. So we brought the vacuum and the lady diagnosed the problem -- a tiny yet essential plastic piece had snapped off of the hose attachment. I am especially amazed because we only brought in the Kirby itself, NOT the hose attachment that the piece had broken off of. She had a similar part on hand which she machined while we waited so it would fit our model. It works great now! Only $16 for the part and the modification. THANKS!!!!! read more

I had the most ridiculous experience with a new Miele Vacuum from Crown. 6 weeks after I bought it, l had to take it in for a full service because the vacuum bag repeatedly got displaced and the motor would fill with dust. The recommended solution was to not let anyone else in my house use the vacuum, including a housekeeper. The same thing happened 5 more times in 2 years before I tried to take it back, but by then, the serial number (on a sticker of this insanely expensive vacuum) had fallen off and without the sticker I didn't have a warrantee. I wasted a ridiculous amount of money, time (the owner of Crown knew me by name), and energy (dropping the vacuum for 2 wks at a time, 30 calls to Crown). Stay away from Crown and Miele-way over priced for what you get. read more

Classic old-fashioned repair shop. Don't expect frills, just good repair service from local people (they aren't sending out the work elsewhere). My wife took her sewing machine here a few years ago for a repair/tune-up and it has been working fine ever since. I took our old Dyson - DC33 vacuum cleaner here recently and they replaced the clutch belt and the machine is back in service and running like new. I took it back in recently because I thought it was not working properly and the woman who works there (forgive me, I don't recall her name but she has long and pretty hair) showed me it was working fine and she did so courteously, without making me feel foolish (much appreciated) for taking up her time. Crown Vacuum is run by a father, daughter, and grandson. When it comes to this family run business, they all know what they are doing. They have been there for at least the 33 years I lived in Corona, and it seemed to be old even then. You will not be impressed with the store. It is crowded, dark, dusty, tired, haphazardly filled with vacuums waiting to be adopted, new and used. Perhaps they should use their vacuums to clean up a bit. But it has always been a friend to me. I turn a blind eye to the chaos because I trust them. I cannot complain that he kept my 25+ year old vacuum running long after it should have hit the dust heap. And my sewing machine, that I treat with total disrespect, has survived thanks to his magic. He charges me a very reasonable price for my maintenance and repairs. And I can always get bags and belts for my various vacuums at a very low price. read more

Am I thankful my neighbor who told me about this store. My hubby purchased a awesome hoover vacuum a few years a go and of course they discontinued it last year. That means the bags are no longer sold at Walmart or Target.... really annoying because this vacuum is awesome and does not need to be replaced. The problem has been solved now that I found this store. They have just about every make & model bags & sell & repair vacuums. They sell commercial quality vacuums too. I took my sewing machine to get repaired here and was told the service charge would be $69 and up IF replacement parts were necessary. After being in the shop about a week I called to check the status of my machine and the person who answered the phone was EXTREMELY RUDE. He said "didnt we call you yesterday". I did not have any missed calls, nor voicemail. He proceeds to tell me my phone number, which he had wrong. So maybe they called someone, just not me. I then asked how much the repairs would be and he says "didn't she tell you the cost when she called you". Well no, because again that was yhe wrong number. He tells me its between 69 and 89 dollars, which I thought was strange but figured they replaced a part so I would look at it after it was picked up. Because of store hours I could not pick up sewing machine and had someone else pick it up. They had to pay $89!! So I get home, look at the machine and there appears to be NO replacement parts!!! Not sure why I had to pay $89. I proceeded to use the machine and the same issue (jammed bobbin case) I took it in for happened again so I took it apart and guess what.....same old bobbin case! Again, I don't know what I paid them $89 to do!!! So annoying. I feel like they took advantage. Not happy with customer service and prices. It's very unfortunate because I love supporting small business but I am very unhappy with my experience and will not go back!!! read more

So this review is purely on the service and work that was done on my Dyson Vacuum. I brought it in a couple months back due to the power cord being cut. They replaced the cord and all of the belts on the vacuum for me. It came back as good as new. Just a couple of days ago the vacuum stopped working, so I brought it back in. A day later I got a call that it was ready to be picked up. Evidently the cord they replaced was defective. They put a new cord on my vacuum at no charge. Even though I was outside of their guarantee period on the repair, they took care of it, no hassle at all. This single point of excellent service earned them my 5 star review and a customer for life! I called around looking for quotes on service repairs for my vintage sewing machine. This place sounded awesome as the owner said that the service charge would range from $49.95-89.95 and would take 1-2 days. When I dropped it off, I asked that he call me with a price estimate after assessing it. Five days later, I called in to check. They had not even opened it to check it out. Three days later, the owner tells me that the zig-zag is frozen. I waited four more days. No call at all to follow up with my inquiry. Instead, I kept calling on a daily basis. Almost two weeks later, I call and finally get an answer-- it's not worth repairing. Geez, 14 days (and not their quoted 1-2day turnaround) and I finally get an freakin' answer. At least they won't charge me. Argh. read more

I was super satisfied with the service I received from this business; the older gentleman placed an order for a filter that I literally couldn't find in any store...he's a little older so I think he may just have forgotten where he put my filter when it came in but that's completely ok with me :) The younger gentleman was very helpful with my vacuum, he took his time to literally dissect my whole machine until he found what was wrong with it - it was a clog in my hose! my kids vacuumed up a charm bracelet and it got stuck in the hose, ugh! darn toys :) you can tell that the owners are just down to earth people, doing what they do which is fixing machines and trying to survive like the rest of us...I recommend this place to everyone, they've been in business in Corona for as long as I can remember and it must clearly be because they are good at what they do! all these negative nancy's need to take a chill pill with their high horse expectations from a very small family owned business! read more

I'm pretty sure this store has been around for a long time. When you see that with a store, they must be doing something right. I'm glad I took my Dyson animal there not once but twice and they were awesome there. A lot of vacuums sitting around and finally the place looks neater then the 1st time I went there. My hubby is going there around 11 a.m today hoping for a vacuum hose to clean our pool with and hoping this place has a hose laying around with all the parts there. The people here do a good job repairing vacuums. It took one day to repair my old Hoover. They called me and provided a reasonable cost for repair. The shop is vintage and full of other vacuums. However, there is no pressure to buy new vacuums instead of repairing your existing vacuum. I really respect that. A great price for a professional service. This is my go to place to get my vacuum repaired. They earned my business as long as they are open. read more

I was told over the phone I would get a free estimate to fix my vacuum, because I didn't want to spend a ton of money fixing a $75 vacuum. He told me a full service was 18.95, looked at it for less than five minutes, pulled a clog out of it, and charged me the full service fee without telling me he was doing anything he was going to charge for. In hindsight I wish I had refused to pay, but I'm too soft spoken in person. Just don't let him charge you unless you agreed ahead of time to be charged! If everything else was great, I wouldn't put 1 star, but the place is a mess, there's no front desk, we were waiting in the store for a while before he came in from outside, and I even greeted him and he said nothing to me, just grabbed the vacuum. read more

They over charged me on carpet shampoo. $49 for a gallon of kirby shampoo!!! i told him it was too much and that i had paid $29 the previous time i was there. He looked at me like i was crazy. he said "no way, that will not cover my cost." i paid it and thought i was going crazy. i got home and got it from my wife. she told me "an old man just took $20 from you...lol." This place is a dump unfortunately it was the only place I had found at the to fix my Kirby . They finally call me after 5 month to tell me it's ready ( in the mean time I had purchased 2 Kirby's on OFFER UP app or LEG GO for parts at $75 for both when they where going to charge $200 ) when I go pick it up the claim ticket had been switch to different vacuum . So older man gave me another Kirby . Got home and lady calls to tell me I have wrong vacuum . Ok so call me when you find my vacuum which she does and I return the vacuum they gave and they give me again the wrong vacuum with the wrong fixed parts . Meantime they are arguing with me the whole time because I left it there longer then I should . Um I never got a call saying it was repaired . Probably should've kept the first vacuum they gave me but I'm an honest person . You are better off going to the Riverside Kirby repair shop or being another one on "LET GO " or "OFFER UP " much cheaper . read more

Not sure about this place. I took my Kirby in and they told me a part had to be replaced because it was broken. I had the part in hand and it appeared fine. It was not physically damaged in any way.. Just seemed to come out because it wasn't secured (they serviced the vacuum months prior). The younger one that works there said "well if you want me to super glue it back then that's what I'll do". Ok. Just thought it was odd that he was quoting me for a broken part when he hadn't even seen the issue yet. Ok so I leave my vacuum and a day later I get a call from the grandpa saying the vacuum was taken apart and a new part would be needed (not the same part that was mentioned earlier) and in order to get it fixed it would have to be replaced. Seemed like they had their mind made up that a part was being replaced at extra cost even before I walked in. I agreed to pay the charge and picked up my Kirby later in the day. To my surprise, the whole color of the "neutral / drive" gear was different in color and looked used almost. Be careful with these guys. I needed my vacuum back as I had family visiting that weekend and was in a bit of a pickle but if I wasn't, I would've ran for the hills when the grandson was mentioning super gluing back parts. read more

My girlfriend inherited an old White sewing machine (the kind that were made better than the ones now), but she didn't know how to use it. We paid for a tune-up and used it a couple of times, but then she got confused about setting it up again. We took it back to this gentleman and he was really great. He took the time to give us a quick lesson and didn't charge us a thing. Yes, the building is old, yes it is "unkempt" inside, but the owner/proprieter is a good and fair guy. Horrible place!!! The owner of this place is completely rude and incompetent. For the past 5 weeks I have been told that he should be receiving my vacuum any day now. I finally get told today that my vacuum is ready for me to pick up so I can stop bitching. What kind of owner talks like that to their customers. I'm sorry sir if I called too much asking about the status of my claim but it's your fault for telling me "any day now ma'am." Sadly it's owners like this that bury their stores because they makes their customers question their credibility and in the end get insulted by them.
