    Pork osso bucco
    Tracy S.

We will frequent this restaurant often! The reception of our dog on the patio was very welcoming. We started with the grilled sausage and rabe pizza, which was perfectly cooked and super yummy. Next up the squash blossom special stuffed with prosciutto and cheese served with a delicate, creamy marinara sauce. What a delight. Last we finished with the pork osso bucco that fell off the bone. The silky sauce that it was in was full of fresh julianned veggies. If there were 10 stars I would give it to them. Our server was very attentive as well as the rest of the staff!!

Grilled octopus. So delicious and tender!

Came here on a Monday night with a party of 4. Restaurant had a beautiful fresh look! Staff were very friendly and helpful! Was great seeing Louie again after missing him from The Waysider. Food was absolutely delicious! The Octopus was spot on, super tender and the sauce was outstanding! I had the pork chop. Cooked perfectly, still juicy and with a very flavorful topping. Others had the black sea bass special, linguine & clams and Broccoli Rabe. Plates were cleaned! All said their meal was fabulous.

I can't say enough about this place. The food is delicious! The staff is professional and warm. The manager MIA could not be any nicer and welcoming. Also I love the vibe and decor.

Beech Jamestown Where Date Night Dreams Come True…read more Listen, I don't write reviews often. But Beech in Jamestown had me pulling out my phone faster than I pull out my wallet at the end of a great meal. We showed up early like the eager, slightly-too-hungry couple we are. Did they make us wait awkwardly by the hostess stand? Absolutely not. They swept us into a bright, window-wrapped room so cheerful it practically hugged us. Turns out they'd lost power earlier that day. LOST POWER. You wouldn't have known it. These people were cooler than the other side of the pillow. Now. The food. Oh, the FOOD. I got the steak with puréed pomme, asparagus, and carrots, and I need you to understand -- this thing had a sear on it that made me want to stand up and applaud. The sauce? Somebody's grandmother's secret recipe dipped in liquid gold. It melted in my mouth so fast I briefly forgot my own name. My wife had to remind me we were in public. Speaking of my wife -- she ordered the Tortellacci. Stuffed pasta, porcini mushrooms, ricotta, limoncello cream sauce, white truffle shavings. She took one bite and just stared at me. No words. Just stared. That's how you know it was BANANAS. In the best possible way. The rolls came out hot and fresh, which is honestly its own love language. Our water and bread gal? Sunshine in human form. Smiling, attentive, welcoming -- the kind of person who makes you feel like a guest, not a table number. Our waitress treated us like family, which for two people on date night is exactly the vibe you need. Beech, you had us at the bread. You kept us at the steak. We'll be back on this island, and you will absolutely see our faces again. 10/10. No notes. Just compliments.

We tried the trumpet mushroom main course and it was interesting but kinda of fell short. And pretty pricey for what you got. The pasta puttanesca special was fine but again not that memorable. Overall I would go back for a drink but not to eat.

You walk upstairs (narrow stairway with high pitch, use the handrails) and enter the speakeasy. It was interesting in that most of the people there were families with kids - I can tell you as someone who seeks out speakeasys that this was unusual. We ordered our drinks - I ordered a Bourbon Beachcomber, and my wife ordered a Midnight Mocha, since that style of drinks is a specialty for The Copper Club. The bartender put on a good show when making the drinks, which were served in the correct glass with the correct garnish. The drink quality was solid. So why only 4 stars? This place is used for overflow seating for Wally's Weiners. That's fine, but it misses a market (and it wasn't even LISTED here on Yelp for other Yelp members to find) which is actually pretty hot right now. Maybe they need to benchmark eleven twenty two in Paso Robles, or Club Arcada in St Charles for some ideas of how to make this concept pop. Drink prices were in par for quality drinks. You can order all of Wally's menu items as well.

It's sad to say that our first experience at this restaurant was one of the most unprofessional…read moreimpressions we've ever experienced. Upon our 5:30 p.m. arrival, my wife and I were immediately seated in the far corner of the outdoor patio. From the beginning, the host's demeanor came across as cold and dismissive. When she told us to "enjoy," her tone made it clear she didn't mean what she said. When our waitress arrived, she wanted to explain what the daily specials were, but before she began, we politely asked if we could move to another section of the patio so we could sit in the sun. After speaking with the host, she returned with what I can only describe as a smart-ass attitude, saying, "Those tables are for people who actually have reservations." We completely understood if those tables were reserved, but there was absolutely no reason for the condescending attitude. Instead, we were moved to another corner table, and after the host decided to tell us "enjoy" with the same condescending tone. Once we sat down, I asked the waitress if she could explain the daily specials, but then she quickly replied, "now that we're at a different table, the other waitress/waiter will have to do that" since it wasn't her "zone". As we sat there, we couldn't help but notice what appeared to be a noticeable difference in how other guests were treated. The tables that gave off what I would describe as a more "upper class" appearance, well-dressed white guests who appeared more affluent, seemed to receive a warmer welcome and far more attentive service. Whether that was intentional or not, we couldn't shake the feeling that we were viewed differently. I'm white myself, but perhaps my tattoos or the fact that I was dining with my Brazilian wife caused us to be perceived differently. I honestly don't know. What I do know is that we left feeling like we didn't fit the restaurant's idea of its preferred clientele. For example, our waitress never offered us the option of tap or bottled water, while nearby "upper class" tables were given that choice. Around 6:10 p.m., we ordered appetizers, which took roughly 20 minutes to arrive, while tables seated after us were already receiving their food. We then placed our entrée orders and waited... and waited... and waited. In addition, we found a hair in the salad that we ordered, and when we brought it up to the waitress, her only answer was "that's impossible, everyone in the kitchen wears hairnets... At approximately 6:40 p.m., the hostess came to our table and explained there had been a "mix-up" because we had switched tables, causing our entrée order to be delayed. That explanation made very little sense. How does simply switching tables result in an order being delayed by that much? It pointed to a serious lack of communication between the front of the house and the kitchen. By approximately 6:50 p.m., I believe a manager came to our table and asked if there was anything he could do. At that point, I bluntly asked for the check because waiting well over an hour for our food was simply unacceptable. Ironically, our entrées finally arrived around 7:00 p.m., but by then we had completely lost our appetite. I sent the food back and again requested the check. Even then, it still took another 10 minutes to receive it. To the hostess's credit, she apologized, and I told her I appreciated the apology. However, I also explained that this restaurant clearly has a major communication problem. More importantly, the dismissive attitude we experienced from the moment we walked in set the tone for the entire evening and left us feeling unwelcome. In a nutshell: We waited an hour and a half for our food we never received, we were mistreated, felt discriminated, and there were still PLENTY of open tables in the patio facing the sun. This was our first visit to Narragansett, and unfortunately it was not the welcome we expected. I didn't even bother asking if the restaurant offered a military discount because, by that point, I already felt like we didn't belong. We will NEVER return.
