I recently learned about Big Fat Cookie online and was drawn to support them... I ordered a four pack of cookies and had them in my hands (and belly) within a few days. The four pack that I ordered included an oatmeal raisin cookie, a quadruple chocolate chip cookie, a classic chocolate chip cookie, and a 50/50, which is a 50/50 mixture of classic chocolate chip and quadruple chocolate, for the indecisive in all of us. I ate this entire cookie all by myself and it was sooooo good! The cookies come wrapped individually with colorful stickers and include the ingredients and reheating instructions too. (They recommend warming room temperature cookies @350 degrees 5-8 minutes for a melty chocolate inside, crispy outside). There are tons of other options for purchase on the website that look IG worthy and beautiful but I'm sure taste amazing too. Some that caught my eye for my next order are the following: -A Pack For Peace: let there be light, which is a special 4 pack using the colors of the beautiful blue & white Israeli flag. I just now see that the profits from 'Let there be light' will be donated to Magen David Adom Israel's national EMS/ambulance service and to United Hatzalah which provides rapid medical treatment. Love this and the cookies included sound and look incredible too... especially this one: -Brown butter cookie base+ cinnamon swirl, meringue glaze, covered with blue and white sugar sprinkles -Proud & Groovy rainbow edition -Good Humor edition -Smores -Black n' White but better This local biz is women owned and has a "born and baked" in Chicago. I picked up a new hobby during the pandemic, which was trying cookies from different bakers all over the country. I came across Big.Fat.Cookie from a blogger who raved about them. I checked out Big.Fat.Cookie's website and Instagram and just couldn't help myself. Buying the cookies was a no-brainer... but of which bundle though? That was a tough question. I figured that I couldn't have gone wrong with any of 4-pack favor themes, but I went for the Breakfast Club because of its uniqueness. I ordered the cookies on a Sunday evening, and they arrived on Wednesday the same week. The cookies came in great condition. I was highly impressed by the secure packaging and presentation of the cookies. The Breakfast One cookie consisted of a cookie with Fruity Pebbles, one with Cinnamon Toast Crunch, a third with a drizzle of icing and a fourth that was chocolate with marshmallows. I found the dough of each cookie to be dense, but this wasn't a bad thing at all since the cookies were not dry. I sampled 3 of the 4 in room temperature but had the coffee cake toasted. The chocolate with marshmallows was called "Hot Chocolate." The marshmallow fluff center was a pleasant surprise. The dough was loaded with chocolate chunks, which was heavenly for me. I appreciated that the mini marshmallows on top didn't dry out. They were moist and soft. This cookie was my favorite of the 4, and admittedly I ate it in one sitting. Probably not the greatest idea taking a hit of 6oz cookie straight to the dome, but it was delicious. This was a meal all in itself. The Cinnamon Toast Crunch cookie was my second favorite. The best part was the nutella filling inside. This was a favorite among my family and didn't make it past 30 min of opening the box. The cookie with the glaze resembled Coffee Cake. I found it to be the least sweet compared to the other 3, which made for a nice change of pace. Definitely would recommend having this with a good ol' cup of Joe. I toasted it in the morning and had it for breakfast. You won't miss your standard coffee cake one bit! The Fruity Pebbles was my least favorite simply, because I'm not that big a fan of Fruity Pebbles cereal. This one happened to taste the most sweet to me, so it was a sweet overload for me. If you love sugar cookies, which I don't, this would be a creative alternative. read more

The location was really confusing for me, I had to drive around for couple minutes until we opened the window and smell cookies. The store isn't a normal store front, it's a factory with a small window with stairs in front. Parking is definitely easy with lots of space so don't you worry, it's not street parking. I ordered from their window at the the walk up location. It is open Fridays and Saturdays. All of the cookies I picked have been excellent. The downfall of the widow is they don't have all options available that you find online. There are a lot of cookies I want to try on their site but they come in pre selected mixes 4 packs. All the flavors in the pack don't appeal to me so I was hoping to get them individually. That said, I found plenty at the window so wanted. Our family of four can split 1 cookie often times because they are so dense and amazing. These are in my opinion some of the BEST cookies you can find in Chicago, hands down. I frequented Lakeview Kitchen + Market a decent amount to pick up these bad boys, but unfortunately they have recently closed. Luckily Big Fat Cookie now sells their cookies at different locations across the city. I've tried a handful of these things including a Sprinkled Chocolate Chip, Nutella, S'mores, and Peanut Butter Cup. All of them were absolutely outstanding!! It is almost $16 for 3 cookies which is a LITTLE extreme... but if you feel like splurging I highly suggest it. I put two of them in the oven at 350 degrees for about 5-8 minutes to heat it up.. and it literally makes the chocolate melt in your mouth. The one I ate without heating up was still just as delectable. Definitely recommend anyone that has a sweet tooth like myself to try these out. These are incredible! Crisp on the outside, warm and gooey on the inside. I got the original chocolate chip one and the s'mores one. I can't think of another fresh-made cookie store this good in Chicago. They're huge so you can save part of your cookie and reheat it in a toaster oven or normal oven later and they still taste amazing. It's a little strange because you go to their warehouse and knock on their door, but it's cool to see them making the cookies fresh right then and there. The staff were also all super nice. They told us they make different cookies every day and you can go online to check what they'll be making. My only critique is that it's pricey - $5 for one cookie. I ordered the Good Humor 4 pack. They came packaged with an ice pack and wrapped in an insulated bag which was a huge plus with the 100+ degree days in LV and in perfect condition. The packaging itself was so pretty, you can tell they take care and pride in it. I wish I had taken pictures of it and the cookies! Now onto the cookies. Absolutely delicious. I love all things Strawberry Shortcake Crunch and there cookie nailed it. Just the perfect amount of sweetness and all the flavors were balanced well. Same with the Chocolate Eclair. The Toasted Almond was good. I enjoyed the cookie, icing and crumble topping, I'm not a big Carmel fan as it was filled with it but it was good. I absolutely LOVE these cookies. Since I live nowhere near Chicago, I had two different orders mailed to me - and all the cookies were securely packaged and shipped. Even the ones containing marshmallow made it in one piece and were not disheveled (cookie remained whole). I initially found Big Fat Cookie via Instagram and have been following them. If you have a cookie fiend in your family, these huge nuggets of joy are the perfect gift for them for any occasion. I love soft, chewy cookies, so Big Fat was right up my alley. Some of the traditional flavors stay the same, while other packs are seasonal and change. Check Big Fat Cookie's Instagram/website for constant updates. After receiving these boxes of cookies in the mail, I've enjoyed them straight out of the box (they're individually wrapped). They were still soft and chewy at room temperature, but if you want to achieve that same hot, gooey, fresh outta the oven, melted consistency, follow the reheating instructions that come with the cookies. These cookies can be expensive to order, depending on shipping, but they were SO worth trying (cookies are my favorite dessert!). Here's what I've tried: Rainbow Pack: The four cookies in this pack were: Classic with rainbow sprinkles, Mixed (classic/triple) studded with rainbow M&Ms, Classic rainbow non pareil, and Classic pink marshmallow fluff/S'mores. I loved this assortment purely because they were so colorful and fun to eat. The classic has lots of chocolate chips, and both the rainbow sprinkles and M&Ms gave the cookies welcomed crunch and texture. The s'mores one had a pink marshmallow fluff, and that was definitely gooey and sticky once I heated it up. This seasonal pack was available during the summer, and I really enjoyed all the colorful cookies in it. Sexy Pack: The other seasonal pack I received featured a lot of peanut butter flavors. I cannot remember the specifics of each cookie, but I know one had a peanut butter cup in it, another had a mixture of peanut butter chunks and OREOs, and there was a lot of chocolate in the other cookies as well. If this is ever available again, I would totally order it. Nuckin' Futz: This is another seasonal pack that the company is currently featuring, and it sounds amazing. With every seasonal item, they really take things up a notch. This pack has: peanut butter dough, mini Reese's and mini OREOs; peanut butter dough filled with raspberry preserves; quadruple chocolate with chocolate and peanut butter chips; and half-and-half peanut butter and quadruple chocolate with half OREO and half Reese's. I love OREO cookies and Reese's Peanut Butter Cups are my favorite candies, so this box basically sounds like a match made in heaven. I hope they have something similar for the long haul so that it's a permanent option! read more

I had heard about this cookie for months and was so excited to finally try it. I tried both the Nutella and Oreo flavors (heated up of course). I've had 2 cookies so far- one from each box. I had the peanutbutter dough topped with puppy chow mix and the earth day cookie with the fudge covered oreo. I liked the earth day cookie more than the peanut butter dough cookie. The earth day cookie I didn't heat up- but it was still pretty good. The fudge covered oreo was my favorite part. The peanutbutter dough cookie I heated up- but it was just ok- a bit crumblier than I like my cookies. The cookies look amazing but are not worth the price- ended up being about $9/cookie after shipping. Ok, this is the first time I've ever been compelled to write a Yelp review solely because of the quality of the product. But I can categorically say that the chocolate chip cookies I purchased from Big Fat Cookie, shipped to me all the way in Los Angeles, are without a doubt, the MOST delicious chocolate chip cookies I have ever eaten. First, size. Each cookie is a hulking, pillowy, rugged blob of doughy serenity. I was surprised by the sheer weight of one cookie. As I picked it up, I could hear it laughing at me. "You can't handle this, u scrub," it mocked cruelly. Each bite leaves you with a wonderful surprise at the end--because you will he surprised at how much more goddamn cookie there is to eat. Next, the texture. This cookie is wonderfully soft and chewy, but not so soft that it becomes doughy. The outside has a golden brown crust that is a delight to bite into, and once you get to the middle, you might as well sell your house because you will want to live inside this cozy cookie. The chocolate chips struck a perfect balance between solid and liquid, even after being FedEx'd to me. Finally, and most importantly, the taste. I am not joking when I say I will spend significant portions of the rest of my life trying to figure out the recipe for this dough. The perfect balance of brown to white sugar, enough eggs to hold the cookie together without it becoming too rigid, and a lovely, warm aftertaste. For me, eating this cookie was a religious experience. When I am next in Chicago, the FIRST thing I will do is go straight to Lakeview Kitchen and thank the chef profusely for breaking off a piece of a cloud from heaven and shipping it to me in the form of a cookie.
