A brand new boutique like cookie shop located in a super busy Redlands shopping plaza. They have self-serve kiosks that you can order from and not have to stand in line. That's a win-win. They do encourage social distancing and employees do wear masks. They have a weekly rotating menu with I believe four new flavors introduced. I've always loved Crumbl's cookies, but my recent experience left me feeling extremely disappointed. While waiting for my order, I couldn't help but overhear one of the employees, who I believe was named Alin. He was a slim, Latino guy working putting dressings on cookies, and instead of focusing on his job, he was openly making rude comments about customers. At first, I thought maybe he was just venting to another employee, but it quickly became clear that he had no problem making fun of people who were right there in the store. He was laughing and mocking how certain customers looked and even their cookie choices. It was shocking to hear, especially because these were people just trying to enjoy their day. I felt embarrassed for everyone in line, myself included, knowing we were being judged and ridiculed right in front of us. This kind of behavior is completely unacceptable to me at least. As much as I enjoy Crumbl's cookies, no one should have to feel like they're being talked about behind their back while supporting a business. Alright it's official I've spent $100 at this place in a matter of weeks because we love these cookies so much in my household (I've also gifted a few boxes away)! Yesterday I bought 14 cookies, a dozen to serve at my dinner party and 2 for my kids to eat. These are my favorite chocolate chip cookies. EVERYONE LOVED THEM!!!! It was Opening Day at Crumbl Cookies in Redlands (6.03.2021). This newly opened shop is located in the Target shopping area just north of the 10 Freeway on Alabama and Lugonia. It's easy to find with lots of parking spaces, and they even offer Curbside Pickup (download their app). I love cookies and some may say I'm a Cookie Snob. I've enjoyed the varieties of Cravory Cookies (San Diego), Honolulu Cookie Co (Waikiki), Levain Bakery (NYC), Republique (Los Angeles) -- to name a few. I have tried Crumbl Cookies (WA and San Clemente) and I recall how wonderful their cookies were, especially the Oatmeal Chocolate Chip. Today I wanted to try flavors I haven't tried from Crumbl Cookies. What I ordered and what I thought of each: * Fruit Pizza Cookie - I was hoping for a fruitier with slight citrus flavor since there were mandarin oranges on top but -- whoa -- it was far from fruity. It was sugary-sweet and on the road to Diabetes Town! And I didn't like that the raspberry leaked a little. I do adore that it looked like a Fruit Pizza Man whistling with his blueberry lips and mandarin cheeks. Cloyingly sweet - Last time I order this one. * Coconut Caramel Cookie - I liked that they packed this in its own little baggy. However, it was drier than I wanted. Definitely stayed true to its name (crumbles). I really wanted to like this one since I love coconut desserts (German Chocolate, GS Samoa cookies, etc.) but I didn't love that it was dry. This was also on the "too sweet" side. * Strawberry Shortcake - Was this cooked? I looked at other photos people posted on the Strawberry Shortcake but why did my frosting look yellowish and melted? The toppings reminded me of Good Humor Strawberry Shortcake Ice Cream Bars. This was a little sweet and much too soft for my liking. * Milk Chocolate Chip - Probably the best of the four but still slightly sweet. I do appreciate that this cookie was baked through and the texture wasn't crumbly. I liked that it at least had a little chew to it. Pro Tips: * Drink with a cold glass of milk! * Refrigerate the cookies to firm up a bit. * Cute branding and packaging for gift-giving or hostess gifts. Overall, it fell short of my expectation because, as I mentioned earlier, I have tried Crumbl Cookies before and enjoyed them from other locations. I know it was just Day 1 so I'll probably give them another shot when they have adjusted to making more cookies. A 3-star rating is fair, as it's still passing but not in the "OMG, it's so good" stage for me. read more

SO, SO, sad! I was beyond excited to see a Crumbl Cookies opening up in So Cal, that I packed my kids in the car and drove an hour to check out this yummy cookie place after seeing it online. Today, was free chocolate chip cookie day when you downloaded their app, per the event. When we got there it was busy, but nothing way out of control, nice line and was moving. A man came out and told people it would be quicker if you ordered through the app and to make sure to get a free cookie. I went ahead and ordered through the app, which was fine. Another man, I believe who is the owner, blonde hair, told the ladies next to me to make sure they got their free cookie. The girl who gave me my order, literally gives it to me and no free cookie, so I very nicely asked for the cookie, so she sets one on the box and before I could ask for the kids, she turns around. Now, I'm not an idiot and I understand they are busy. I ask the blonde man if I could get the 3 cookies for the kids and he, very snarky says, "I don't know if you can see, but we are busy." Calls another order out, grabs the cookies for me and goes, "here's your cookies." He acted like I was somehow taking advantage of him even though I had just bought $40 worth of cookies and even tipped. Really hurt my feelings and definitely threw a wrench in my day. Glad to hear they are opening a location in Menifee, a lot closer to me hoping the owner is a lot nicer, as I love the concept of a weekly rotating cookie menu and did enjoy the cookies we purchased, the fruit pizza being my favorite. On Monday at 9:20 pm I came to this crumbl and I saw that the mint chocolate chip was sold out but I saw mint chocolate chip cookies on the baking rack and when I asked a worker Josiah he mentioned those are for orders only before 5pm??? Then asked another worker she mentioned the cookies were already for online orders?? Then another customer asked Josiah again and then he mentioned those cookies are for online orders but I had asked him if I can order it online which he told me no. Not only did I get 3 different answers but the cookies served to me were cold as well. Not only that but Josiah decided to yell out everyone's name for their orders but ours and had us waiting on purpose. Josiah obviously is not meant for food service or likes it. Sometimes a little overwhelming in a good way- referencing the Samoa cookie which is intense. Went on a day when they were giving out free cookies. Place was hoppin'. But after tasting the cookies, i can see why. Staff was masked. Super nice. They rotate cookie flavors by the week which is nice and keeps it variable.
