Nice gym. Just very crowded. Really hard to get on any equipment. Cardio area seems to have open equipment though. You have to wait in line. Weekends seem to be a little less busy. I think you just have to time it right. But overall good experience so far. read more

Welcome to ClUB CrUnch! Expect loud crowds all the time. No parking. Insanely unwelcoming crowded entrance - so odd for a gym. You enter and there's a massive sofa lounge area and restaurant style tables. Dirty restrooms and lockers. The tiniest locker areas ever. Can't wait to cancel! Sauna now works 25% of the time. We asked the front desk 3 times the other day to reset the heater. Nobody came for 45min and we left. Sauna door also needs a closer installed. When its only 120 in there the door gets left open and struggles to remain any hotter read more

I belong to this gym, purely out of necessity and proximity to my house. This gym is way too crowded so if you feel like waiting in line to use a piece of equipment that they should have more of , then this is the place for you. They also don't have a decline machine. If I didn't have to come to this gym in order to get a half ass workout, I would definitely never be a member here. read more

I was going to this gym just because it's near where i live, but after going to several other crunch locations i've realized how bad this one is. Staff is never kind or helpful, and if i wrote every negative experience this review would be a lot longer. My bf once left his phone at a machine and the next people to use it told us it was turned in at the front desk, and the staff insisted nothing was turned in. after calling the phone and telling them i knew it was back there suddenly the staff knew where it was. If i wasn't persistent I felt like they would have kept the phone. I use the hydro massage beds pretty often, and im not sure why but whenever i ask to use them they're full but theres always an open bed for the person behind me in line. when this happens I'll have to wait about 15-20 minutes and ask again, and twice i've been told "you want to use the bed AGAIN?" when i was never given a bed to begin with. Really don't know why I pay extra every month for this amenity when anytime I want to use it i need to almost beg the staff to let me. I once got a new card bc i lost my old one, and forgot to switch it for the crunch billing. when I tried to workout, the worker yelled "HEY WAIT. YOUR CARD DECLINED" I'm not sure why she felt the need to yell it in front of a lot of other people, but there was definitely a better way for her to handle that. I don't expect staff to go above and beyond or anything, but at the minimum i expect kindness and that never happens at this gym. read more

I had a 3 day pass for a HIIT class with Zach, and had a poor experience, he was very rude and snarky. I tried to give the benefit of the doubt and schedule a different class, so I signed up for a HIIT class with Juliana. It was an equally bad experience. I had a much better experience at the San Marcos location with the Zumba instructor there. The kyle location had rude instructors, and seemed dirty and poorly maintained. For anyone looking to sign up for classes, I highly recommend the San Marcos location. read more

I'd rather make the drive to the San Marcos location. Bigger location, more spaced out, bigger sauna, and employees that can at least pretend to care. I wouldn't sign up though if you can't commit to long term. Got a membership for south Austin since it was the closest before the ones down here were open. Ive had my membership almost a year and for medical reasons needed to pause it. This process appeared to be very difficult. The Kyle location wouldn't let me pause unless I transferred my home gym, which I was fine with and it was suppose to take 2 days for this process..done by the alleged manager.. I gave them over a week, went back and she told me she emailed someone and would speed up the process..again I waited days and I had to reach back out and she basically blew me off and said go to the other location... even though I showed multiple times I lived down here.. I simply called the other location and instead of pausing I just cancelled the whole membership ... over the phone.. pretty simple, I think the manager should have been able to figure this out in a 3 week span.. she also failed to inform me I would still be charged for the month, even after I had asked about charges ...which was annoying.. just not the best customer service. If we choose to come back to crunch it'll be to the san marcos location. read more

Place is a zoo! Actually, a zoo is less packed! I have never seen a gym this crazy busy before. Was told there were over 380 people there tonight. The gym is not that big either. Parking is near impossible and only going to get worse once Texas Roadhouse opens. read more

This gym feels like it has 500 too many members. Whether you come at 4a, 1p or 6p it is PACKED. Takes 20 mins to find parking. When you scan in, the employees at the desk dart to the computer to comb through your account. Very sketch. Once you get inside, every machine is busy. People just wander around because nothing is available. There are always like 5 sales people acting like they're in Wolf of Walstreet signing MORE people up for memberships. Way too busy!! read more

Unprofessional management and overcrowded gym. I pre-paid for a personal trainer and nobody disclosed that it's nonrefundable. Several times, on the way to the gym I received a text message canceling a session. When I cancelled my membership I learned that my unused sessions are non-refundable. GM is a duche who doesn't respond to the emails and when asked question in person, always has lame excuses. Stay away from this location. read more

Extremely small place considering how it's the first gym in the city, I can't even get a work out done because of how incredibly small and packed it is impossible to get ahold of a machine without having to wait in line for it, lockers are small, sauna can barely fit 5 people at best, definitely not what a good gym looks like. The classes make it impossible to find a place to stretch if I could give no stars I absolutely would. So disappointing. We need another gym in Kyle this is a joke of a place good luck finding parking the only ones you can find are far enough that the walk is a better workout than the one you'll get inside the gym lol. read more

I love this gym - clean, helpful people, lots of features! The only thing that detracts from 5 stars is that I joined for classes (particularly Hot Yoga) as I'm not a weight lifting person.... In the several months that I have been a member, I have only been able to take 1 class. Set my alarm for 24 hours and 1 minute before class and it's already full. A bit frustrating to say the least. They are the biggest scam, they don't have good customer service, they don't give you options to help you, the employees are inept at doing their jobs, they charged me more than double and twice in one month, they are a real piece of crap, I waited for them to return my call with more information and they haven't done anything, I'm about to file a lawsuit. read more

Their billing process is extremely frustrating. When I initially signed up, there was no communication about the draft date on my contract. The only way I found out my bill was due was through an email from Aaron Rodriguez, the GM, informing me that my payment hadn't gone through. I explained to him that my contract lacked a billing date, leaving me unaware of when I would be billed, and asked him to process the payment again. He didn't respond. Two days later, I noticed an additional fee had been charged due to the failed payment. I emailed Aaron again, kindly requesting a refund since there was no initial billing date on my contract, and he hadn't disclosed the fee. Yet again, no response. Today, I checked my account and found that I had been charged the annual fee plus my monthly fee, with no prior communication about these charges either. Since the GM seemed unresponsive, I decided to call. Ironically, the first thing you hear when you "press 1 for billing questions" is an automated message about the annual maintenance fee being charged 60 days after your signup date. So, their method of communicating the annual fee is essentially an automated message. Overall, their management and billing communication are far from impressive. Other reasons I wouldn't recommend this gym include its small size and overcrowding at all times of the day. Additionally, their WiFi is terrible, making it impossible to listen to your music through your cellular connection or their WiFi. You're stuck listening to their poor-quality music and the instructors conducting classes on the floor, which further reduces the gym's already limited space. There is hardly any room, or mats, for stretching before and after workouts. Lastly, the parking situation is a nightmare. There's rarely ever any parking available. Forget about coming after 5 PM--you'll end up parking at the gas station and walking over because the parking lot is full, as well as both streets alongside the gym. read more
