We had an accident with the baby and he knocked over the drink and water and they were kind enough to remake her the cocktail and the next time around it was the correct color and tasted better. The food menu also had unique items, I was intrigued to try a few things! We started with the ceviche, I really liked it! Typically I always go for chilaquiles so I was torn but I decided to be different and since it is a crepe place I went with the mushroom and bacon crepe. The sauce they use on the crepe is decently spicy, so if you're spice sensitive I recommend getting it on the side. My friend's daughter had the breakfast crepe and it also had the same sauce and she had to eat around it, but she trooped through! My girlfriend ordered the steak bowl and she enjoyed it, it came with a lot of steak!

Another employee kindly stepped in and said she could do it, which we appreciated. I specifically asked for the drink to be changed to an iced Biscoff latte. Unfortunately, when the drinks came out, mine was still hot instead of iced. I went back up respectfully and let them know there had been a mix-up. Both employees looked at each other and chuckled in what came across as annoyance. I even apologized for the inconvenience, but the first employee responded by saying, "We are just too busy." I completely understand that working in customer service can be overwhelming, and I always try to be patient and understanding. However, at the time there were only a couple of seated customers and just the two of us waiting for our drinks, so the comment felt unnecessary. Allison seemed nice, but I would just suggest having a clearer menu with prices so that customers don't have to guess what they're paying for. I won't be coming back because I didn't feel like I was getting my money's worth.

Entering the restaurant, the first thing that caught our attention was the dirty floor, littered with food and paper products throughout the restaurant. Coffee and water came out quickly but never had a refill on the coffee until I had finished my meal. Not because I didn't want any, but our server was busy with other tables and didn't get to us until we were almost done. My wife's meal was mostly ok, but the English Muffin was hard enough to use as hockey pucks. My chicken fried steak had a weird flavor and not sure if it was on the gravy or the seasoning used on the meat. But it was just so-so, nothing to write home about. Best thing was the eggs, done perfectly and hashbrowns were pretty decent. Biggest complaint was the slow service, probably due to it being grad weekend and they were pretty busy with families (according to the cashier), and the extremely dirty place. The bathroom was also dirty, obviously nobody had cleaned it for quite a while. I blame management for not planning ahead and having at least 1 or 2 extra servers/busboys on hand to handle the larger crowd. We decided to return to the Ceres location and call that our home for Hod Rod Diner food. As another recommendation, I suggest taking the carpet out and just having a plain floor; much easier to keep clean than a carpet.

I didn't feel rushed and I was able to try other flavors (red licorice tasted just like Red Vines!). They also had a black licorice that the SO would have enjoyed, but he didn't try it. My friends suggested Crust & Crumb for lunch. It's been over 6 months since my first visit (which was close to their opening), so it was time to give them another try. When no one wanted to split a whole pie with me, I opted for the slices. I don't remember that being an option before. You have your choice of cheese, pepperoni, or sausage ($5.50 per slice). I went for the sausage. Payment is done using an iPad. I still find it incongruous that you are asked for a tip when paying your bill. At that point all they have done is take your order and swipe your credit card. They could give you the wrong order, your food could be cold, they could forget an item, or so many other things could go wrong. I am happy to tip well for good service. But not before I know I have received it! They gave me a plastic card on a stand to display my order number. All of the tables were already occupied, so we had to sit in the row of seats against the front window. Soon my slices arrived. First of all, the slices were huge. They reminded me of New York style pizza: the slices were thin and limp when you picked them up, and I saw a some people fold them in half before taking a bite. I prefer my pizza thicker with a just a little crispy crunch when I take a bite. I really liked how the slices were not greasy on top or on the bottom. The sausage was very tasty, it was excellent. One of their staff brought us some shakers full of Parmesan cheese. It was all clumped together after being chilled. It loosened up with some vigorous shaking. The staff is very welcoming, patient, and friendly. The owner/manager also stopped by to check in on us. That was a nice touch. Overall, Crust & Crumb is just a little on the pricey side (it is artisan pizza after all). But the food and staff are both excellent. read more

Just had lunch today, two pepperoni meals ($10 each) and we were impressed! The cheese was great, the crust was great, and waitstaff was attentive. We got there about 2:00 and had only another group in the restaurant. Food was out quick but they didn't rushing it. As I was pointing to the crust, the cook thought looked worried and asked how it was; I told him it was awesome, I don't usually like the crust, but it was amazing! He told us they use a two day cold process. He looked relieved that we were happy. We had leftovers, brought them home, and my nephew wanted some; after reheating it, my stomach growled again! The white bbq sauce had zero flavor and the overall sandwich was dry. The bacon was obviously made hours ago, all you could taste was the congealed fat. The garlic fries were lukewarm at best and definitely not made to order. My husband got the Philly cheesesteak, that had more flavor from the peppers and onions at least but the tri tip should have been the star and it was just ok. He got the sweet potato fries and they weren't fresh either. And the soda was flat also. $51 mistake. The first time we went here, it was better.

Had the Awesome Combo and an anti-pasto salad tonight and have got to give them credit for a pretty good salad and a great pizza. Place was quiet other than a little tyke that was upset his dad kept taking him away from the goodie machines. It was pretty darn adorable tbh. Staff was great, food came out pretty quick and they even swung by after dropping off our salad and pizza to see if we needed anything else. Pretty cool for a pizza place. Will definitely return again in the future.

They've somewhat recently added this large Boba tea/smoothie menu and it's impressive.
