I ate dinner there on 1/18/14. Most of the food off the steam tables was warm at best, not hot. The variety is fairly good but only worth one star when one considers that dinner for two costs $31.50. I will not be returning. read more

We don't go here for the all you can eat buffet. We order take out from here and it is really good. Even with the trip home, the food is flaming when we take it out of the bag. They throw in free stuff for orders over certain dollar amounts. We tend to like the standards, General Tso, Chicken & Broccoli, Beef & Mushroom in Oyster sauce, Shrimp Lo Mein, Salt & Pepper Shrimp, Mu Shu Pork - all very tasty and not too salty. I like the Shrimp & Green beans, but you have to check if they have green beans that day. The shrimp rolls and cheese won tons are good too. The menu prices are good, the buffet prices seem a little steep, but they are always packed, so I guess it doesn't deter folks from coming. My only suggestions for take out food is please pack anything liquid/greasy a little better. No one likes grease on the car seat. Also, please stop throwing enormous handfuls of sauces, napkins, and plastic ware in the bag. I don't like throwing them out and I don't like having huge zip lock bags of sauce cluttering up the pantry. read more

I tried coming here with friends for a delightful end of the day meal. I couldn't decide if I should pay to eat or see if the food is any good first. I ended up trying some off my friends plate when I was abruptly SCREAMED at by one of the people behind one of the counters. Ever since this event took place, they've been staring me down. Received a gift certificate so we decided to give it one more try. Sorry to say it was worse than the last time. Some of the food was good but was warm to cool. Not good at all. The place was practically empty today at 1pm and no wonder. My wife had lomain that she thought was bad. The red pork had a chemical taste. Must be using different spices or something. Terrible. Price was very fair. $17 per head for dinner. Large parking lot. Place has ample seating, and their buffet includes appetizers, fruit, ice cream, desserts, typical Chinese dishes like beef, chicken, broccoli, and soups. Food quality is okay (not the worse and not the best). Food is warm, not steaming hot. Staff is friendly, and they clean your plates promptly. I was impressed with the manager, as he came over multiple times to check in on our meals, including welcoming us when we entered and thanking us as we left. This doesn't happen enough. The interior decorating could use a cleanup, such as paint, ac duct work, and more lighting. read more

I have been there many times, i DO tend to keep going back because its the best local one around to my knowledge when u live out east, but yes u do get ignored constantly while the waiters walk around w/ their thumb up their asses talking to each other only, then take ur plate b4 ur done and dont have a clue how to make desserts but the "regular" food there is pretty good for the most part and THAT'S what i go there for not to make friends w/ the waiters lol so... and OH YEA u wont see even a butter knife anywhere in site just incase u might wanna cut ur meat etc i think they think we might stab them w/ em or something hahahahha idk! read more

i was discusted .be ware under new ownership and manager doesn't have a clue about customer service. went their at 3:30pm this afternoon with a party of 8..we and others were told we had 20 minutes yo eat or come back at dinner. this buffet was the best ever not anymore. they're rude have no clue about how to run a restaurant or how to speak to customers..i never have been on yelp before but i had to let folks know the new management sucks, the manager needs help learning theirs a way to talk to people.. beleive me the new owners wont be their long. i predict about 3 months their will be a space for rent. my party of 8 walked out and about 15 other familys walked out.thay cist him about $2000.00 good luck with your new business . if you font beleive this review try hoing their at 3:30 yourself and see how you are treated. i rest my case..craig party of 8.went to islandia and dprnt 145.00 dollars could have been yours schmuk. read more

NASTY, GROSS, STINKY, REPULSIVE, SICKENING are some of the words I use to describe this place. This place is the absolute nastiest place I've been in a long time. As soon as you enter the restaurant it smelled like they use cat piss in the steam tables instead of water! The smell is horrendous and tickles your nostrils to the point of wanting to puke. I can't believe I even sat down and grabbed a plate. The food was gross with flies coming off the food as you stir it, Luke warm temperature at Best and the "ice cream" was bad. Bad as in they shut the machine off for the night n came in the next day and said whoops n turned it back on. You almost had to use a knife to chisel your arms off the sticky tables. After reading other reviews I hope I don't end up in the hospital like the other poor guests and just pray for a night of diarrhea at best. This place is so bad that I called the department of health to tell them about my experience. Stay far away from this place. Don't give these animals any of your money. Terrible experience, food was not even slightly warm....when we told management they told us that they don't turn the steam tables up because they don't want to "dry the food out." If the board of health would have come in and checked the temps on the tables they would have been shut down!! They offered to put the plates in the microwave but we declined and left. Absolutely LOVE their "Tofu with vegetables" and their "Vegetable Lo Mein". The ONLY trouble is the absence of ENOUGH tofu in that particular platter. Had to ask for more - waited close to 15 minutes (2 adult witnesses will verify this) - and a brand new platter was brought out WITH ONLY TWO pieces of tofu. Next time I complain to someone, since this has happened to me on numerous occasions. read more

The food was bad, the soft drinks were not good, meaning flat and the food was lukewarm. The wallpaper is pealing and the lights are not working well. The place looks so dark and gloomy which puts the. mood of eating set an off and creepy mood. The ice cream is supposed to be good, but has this off taste that is not pleasant. Had lunch here today. The taste of the food was not aweful. It was tasty. However, there are greater issues than the taste of the food. The ladies room is gross. The white rice steamer is very dirty on the outside and has mold on the inside. The serving utensils are old, cracked and in need of replacement. The dining room is dark and dingy. I took my guests such as my husband's brother form CT or my sister-in-law from FL to this restaurant or my own girlfriend fromthe city and they all enjoyed it.
