The staff there was extremely friendly and I had an exciting conversation with them. The wait time to see the doctor was extremely short. The doctor also helped me get up to date on the quality of my eyes and answered every question I had with detail. A major disappointment. I had gone here approximately two and years ago and was very satisfied with their customer service attitude, professionalism, and pricing. I returned a day ago and found that the Front Desk Staff may still be friendly, however, there has been a Major Change in Price. After battling to find a parking space, there is a school close by, I was shocked to hear their price for an Eye Exam...almost triple what others charge...then the cost for lenses and frames!!!!! They have triple their pricing from two years ago and do not accept AARP nor AAA discount offers. Parking a nightmare, pricing outrageous. Would Zero recommend. read more

So, a few months ago we brought my 5yr old here for her exam, lens and frames, it costed about $600 out of pocket. We thought it was a lot but we were so shocked and heartbroken that our daughter needed glasses and thought every penny is worth our baby being able to see. After talking with others afterwards, that have been in similar situations, they were shocked at how much we paid!! Then we had a follow up appointment, they emailed me the day of to reschedule! I understand I just got a new phone number but they have my email on file and decided to contact me until the day of. I am a busy mom of 4, I work full time and my husband works very far, so I need more time to plan things out. So I called them, agreed to reschedule for the next day. Showed up the next day just to waste more requested time off, and gas!! They were closed on a Tuesday at 3:30pm! Then I left a message the next day, no apology was made, nothing! They ignored my email and text messages and proceeded with a response that I have an appt that day (Thursday) so I had to make a last minute time off request to leave work early and rush to take my daughter. Once again, no apology and I decided I was just going to be nice. So I found out that my daughter needs stronger lenses now and it's going to cost about $270. So I decided I was going to see about ordering online. I found an online place that was wayyy cheaper but Crystal Vision didn't include an important part of the prescription, the PD. So I called them and got an email that explained that everything on the prescription they gave me is all that's needed. The email came off as rude as well, they need to work on email etiquette especially if they are overcharging!! So I called and the lady I spoke with said they can't give me a PD because if something goes wrong with the prescription they will get in trouble! So how am I supposed to trust the rest of the prescription than???!!!!! The PD is an important part of the prescription and glasses can't be made without it! So I called another optometrist and was told they don't understand why optometrist do that and that I could bring my daughter in and they will take the PD measurement free of charge so my baby can get her glasses and be able to see better soon because that is the whole point!!!! SHAME ON YOU CRYSTAL VISION!!!! Don't go here unless you want to be scammed into paying their high prices and it's clear to me all they want is money! Like come on my baby is 5 years old, I am paying out of pocket! read more

I was able to get a same day appointment within an hour of calling to see if they had any appointments. I rushed over and after about 20 minutes or so, I was done with my eye exam. I needed a prescription, but while there, their computer system was down. They advised they would be able to email my prescription once their system was back up. Within an hour, they sent my prescription to my email. I will certainly be back and will refer my family and friends to Crystal Vision Optometry. Dr. Adhikari is delightful! I have been to a few eye doctors who treat you like you are just another number instead of a person. Dr. Adhikari spent so much time answering my questions and talking to me about the things that I felt were important to my eye health. I have CareCredit and searched for an Optometrist that accepts this medical credit card. . It is not near my home, but it was the closest place that was listed on the CareCredit website. I came in on a Wednesday evening after work and they were hell of busy, but all the patients were acknowledge and given individual attention. I was greeted as soon as I walked in and given forms to complete. The Dr. called me in within 10 minutes of being there and did a very thorough exam. He walked me out to the reception desk and Amber helped me choose glasses. I appreciated her honesty and knowledge of all the different options and what was best for me. She didn't try to "sell" me anything. The entire staff gave me the impression that they were there because they enjoyed it, not because they needed to pay bills. Despite having to drive from my West Covina home and office, I LOVED it and this will be my new eye doctor. read more

I'm not really sure what the hype is all about. 50% of the time I select businesses and places based on positive reviews, the other 50% of the time I select places by just taking a chance and hoping for the best. I haven't had my prescription for glasses filled in over five years! Fortunately my eyes aren't that bad, I'm just a little nearsighted. Yes people, I never had insurance so it was hard as a college student to fork out extra money for my visions' benefits (that sounds pretty sad), but my husband and I married a year ago, and long story short, I have insurance! Not great insurance just mediocre but enough to finally make that appointment for an eye exam. So I found this place on yelp, I thought wow all five star reviews, this is where I want to go! So I walk in and it's a fairly small place. There are two women inside (not wearing name badges--which I usually like when associates wear name tags of some sort, that way I can accurately describe who gave me the best or worst service). I was greeted by the first girl but she didn't let me finish my sentence when I said "I have an app-". And she cut me off and said go sign in over there with a hand gesture. I walked over to the desk in the back, waiting to be signed in, but being my first time there I didn't know the protocol, so she walked back there and repeated "sign into the sheet". Then I was like "Oh", feeling pretty silly. The second girl only looked up a few times and never acknowledged me. The first girl was polite but a little standoffish. She could have been friendlier especially if it's my first time there. As I was filling out some forms, a Hispanic man walked in to pick up his daughter's contact lenses. He asked the second girl if the contact lenses were ready, but she said no right away. The first girl just nodded her head no. The man looked disappointed and said "We ordered them two weeks ago and she needs them for her graduation". The second girl just said "Sorry we don't have them, they're on back order". Judging from this scenario I witnessed, I felt like I wasn't in the right office for me. So I left as soon as that happened. Maybe others have had a positive experience, but as for myself it didn't leave the best first impression. First impressions are everything. Selecting a doctor of any specialty is an experience where you want to feel welcomed and comfortable. I didn't particularly feel charmed by this location. read more

The two concerns I had about my eyes, also led to her trying to sell me her products. Everyone was very friendly and the office was clean, I must say. I have never once been disappointed with the staff or optometrists but Dr. Adhikari is by far the best optometrist that has taken care of my family and I. Dr. Wong is a great optometrist. I was having some issues with headaches, etc. he didn't rush through my appointment and actually thoroughly checked my vision. The staff there is soooo friendly and helpful. I must have spent over an hour just trying on different glasses but they were patient with me. Me and my family wont be coming here Anymore! I took my son to get checked his vision was fine was prescribed the LOWEST prescription. My son has IEHP so I didnt want to pay much for his glasses because first of all he didn't really need them. I asked the employee if the glasses he picked were covered by IEHP and I was told YES!! But that the lens where not so i had to pay out pocket $25 for the Right and Left Totaling $50 which I Paid. Then I was asked by a family friend why I had paid If iehp covers glasses for kids! which I didnt know at first. I was told those glasses were covered by the employee she even went to ask because she wasn't sure and they told her yes the glasses were covered but that I had to pay $50 for lens because supposedly IEHP doesnt cover for the prescription lens! I was LIED too!! Now they are saying we choose glasses that are more than what IEHP covers!! That was all a lie!! I filed a grievance and now im taking it to dhc. All they want is money even If you dont need them they will prescribe them they take advantage especially kids they dont know so parents beware make sure your kids really really need them my son doesnt even wear them because he sees no diference with them or without them! Dr. Adhikari is a good optometrist. My review is not based upon her abilities as a doctor. Hopefully nobody has to go through the annual delays for vision that i have experienced after the exams are done. The old office manager left this business, and my experiences have not been the same since. 7-10 business days are what you are told for your new Rx glasses to come in. My annual visit was on 01/05/19. It is now 01/31/19. And no glasses. I have called weekly to inquire as to what is causing such a delay. Put on hold for 15 minutes while they speak to the lab about my Rx. Then told the office would call me back. Surprise! No call back. I call yet again, and "the lab must be backed up"..., is the answer im given. Mind you, this is the 3rd time this has happened to me. I do not recommend this business at all, you more than likely will be disappointed. My opinion. The business was awesome before Barbara (ex office manager) left. read more

The doctor was very easy to work with and I felt she was very goodat her field, she has some of the latest equipment and she does specialize in contacts and childen. The staff is helpful but Dr Adhikari was not genuine. She rushed us out. Did not take the time to get to know us. They also ran my husbands insurance without his authorization. The only reason we found out was because we made an appointment at another optometry office. When I called and asked the staff why they ran my husbands insurance without his authorization, I was told that its a common error. Sounds like bad business practice to me. I insisted that they release the authorization. First and last time here. Office is also dirty and cluttered. I would not recommend this place to anyone! read more

I can not rave enough about this office and staff. First of all they are so nice and professional and went out of their way to accomodate me due to many reschedules due to some personal issues. I was never treated with anything but compassion and respect. I arrived for my appointment and was shocked when all of the staff stopped, looked up and made eye contact to genuinely greet and welcome me. The office is IMMACULATE and BEAUTIFUL! Virtually no wait time as i was taken back for my pre screen right away while the receptionist entered all of my info into their system. Dr Adhikari came right out and greeted me and we began my exam by explaining everything they offer and all that she was going to be doing to make sure i had the best exam possible. She was sooooo friendly, warm, and truly engaged never making me feel like just another patient. She took her time and never made me feel rushed. She explained any and all issues i was having and gave me remedies for all. She took time to physically draw a picture of how my new lenses work and was so helpful and informative. Brittney at the front desk was sooooo sweet and helpful!!! She even text msgd me pics of my new frames so i could show my family ! Awesome!!! Their prices and specials they offer are superior to every other place i checked. I got top of the line eyeglasses and script sunglasses for the price of one pair at LensCrafters.... Dr. Wong was incredibly thourough and professional, but more than that he was just wonderful, funny and helpful with my 5 yr old.Working well with kids is so important, as we well now, kids can be difficult to say the least. The staff were lovely and considerate, first by offering me a cup of coffee (a welcomed treat) and then by helping my daughter find the perfect pair of glasses. I had been experiencing blurry vision and noticed I had been squinting a lot and forcing my vision. Sooo i thought well heck.. let me log in to my insurance vision plan and see what providers are under my plan and go from there.. well I did. I did some homework and went here on yelp did some searching and came across this place. I called and the first time I called no one answered. And called again and no one answred. I figured maybe it's closed today, but the hours on the yelp said otherwise.. so I called again. No answer. I sent an email. That I had been trying to reach them but no one seems to ever pick up...and thought of taking my business elsewhere. I gave it a last try. This was my 2nd day calling and they answered I made an appointment. As in walking in the lady right at the first corner desk.. is very rude! NO CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS AT ALL! I went in on the day for my appointment and walked by her n didnt even bother to say Hi.. or welcome, or someone will be with you.. NOTHING.. SHE SHOULDN'T EVEN BE SITTING IN THE FRONT!! And the same thing happened when I picked up my glasses. The Hispanic receptionist is nice, but very pushy with products.. I didn't like going over financials out in the open.. I felt like EVERYONE could hear your financial conversation.. when it should be in PRIVATE! She was polite, but seemed way to pushy on getting me to add product to my glasses.. I mentioned to them about it being my first time ever going to an optometrist.. perhaps I shouldn't have!.. maybe that was my mistake!! I filled out paperwork and she did a pre exam.. then I was called in by the Dr. She was OK.. but very..very pushy on products!! She never really answered my question about WHY I NEEDED GLASSES!?.. Or how bad or decent my eyes were.. then she did another exam.. to check the health of the eye.. and said my eyes were HEALTHY! OK.. SO WHY DID I NEED GLASSES?.. Not only glasses, but prescription SUNGLASSES TOO!!! All she said was because of the type of my prescription or what she found that is why I needed prescription GLASSES! So during financials.. I was never told my insurance didn't cover the sunglasses.. only that there was a 20% disc. Frames were WAAAAY overpriced.. 2x as much as other places.. they did come in at a decent time.. but I just felt I wasn't treated like a NEW CUSTOMER.. they didn't bother to share knowledge or explain things... I felt uncomfortable especially sharing finances with the entire office, very out of place, I felt ripped off, I felt I was taken advantage... but I got the glasses cuz I needed them. I seriously don't know why they have 4 1/2 stars.. they really shouldn't! Don't go here people!! I'll have to look elsewhere next time. read more

I liked how she treated me, not only as a patient, but as a friend. She took the time to make sure my eye exam was thorough and she uses the latest medical technology to ensure her patients have the best prevention against any type of eye problems that can occur. She explains what she's doing and why she's doing these tests, which is the reason I like going to her. I don't feel rushed and hurried. I went in to get my usual eye exam for contact lenses but decided I needed glasses too. I wasn't sure about the type or style to get and asked for assistance from Marissa. She was very helpful and she showed me glasses that fit my face and I was very happy with my decision. The entire staff is very helpful and kind which makes going to Dr. Adhikari's office a pleasure. saw optometrist on 15th; she was great. Glasses ordered that day. Went into facility and was told they would be delivered the 24th by courier at approx 2:00 pm. Went into facility after 2:00 p.m, and then was told glasses didn't pass quality control at the outside lab and I would not receive them until Wednesday the 29th. Still don't have them!!!! read more

Very good experience. The optometrist explained in detail what was currently happening to my eyes and what would be the best glasses to fit my needs.
