Delicious food. They accommodate gluten free! I only gave them 4 stars instead of five because of slow service on a busy evening. In town for business I decided to try this place after reading reviews. I got the beef pho to warm up from the rain. The broth was very good and they had all the fixings for it, except jalapeños which I did miss having. The noodles were all clumped together which is a pet peeve of mine but once they got all separated it was a delicious big bowl of pho filled with plenty of meat too. The place was very clean and I even saw the lady wash her hands after wiping down tables. The service was a bit slow but there was only one lady working the front. I did hear her ask some take away order people to sit down so that they didn't clutter the front making it appear as if there was a wait. Fair enough, but she could have been a bit more courteous about it. All in all I recommend and may even return for the vermicelli. read more

I ordered takeout and they said 15-20 min, so I got there 20 min later, but still had to wait quite a while which was very frustrating because they were not busy at all. They didn't tell me, but the order had been cooked incorrectly and they had to re-do it. After all was said and done, my "spicy" soup had zero spice. On the plus side, the host was polite and kind, the pineapple fried rice was pretty good, and the pork egg rolls were good. I will probably give them another chance at some point. read more

Worst Padh Thai ever,couldn't eat more than two bites. It still had the raw smell of eggs and shrimp in it.The service was poor too. I ordered the panang curry since I was still hungry and even that wasn't up to the mark ,overpowering flavor of lemongrass and basil. There are much much much better places than here around Portland. Salad rolls were very good, we liked that they added basil to them. The peanut sauce was good too. Very friendly staff. Lemon water was good. The pad Thai was obviously cooked in fish oil which is strange with chicken. I am sure it would have been better with shrimp. Hoison saved it. The pad kee mao was very good. Good size portions. Got their bun (S3) combo for takeout and it was awesome! Prompt timing and very courteous. Food tasted great, the fresh herbs shined through. The sauce they served with it was also really yummy. Usually I find it has too much fish sauce flavor and don't finish it, but theirs was perfect and I made sure to pour it over the entire dish. I am a regular to the CT Bistro. I plan my week around what night I am going to treat myself to some Basil Fried Rice Garlicky Greens. I have not ordered something on their menu that has disappointed me. Their tofu salad rolls are fresh and delicious, but it is their homemade peanut sauce that really steals the show. My family and I came here for dinner. The service was extremely poor, the one guy taking all the orders was extremely short with us, rolled his eyes at us multiple times. I get that they are super short staffed but that isn't my fault and that doesn't mean we should be treated poorly. All out food was served at different times over the span of about 15 minutes so the first persons food was cold by the time the last person was served. The check took quite some time but that wasn't nearly as bad as the time we waited to order a dessert or to get our to go boxes. We were asked if we needed boxes and we did need two so we said so. After waiting about 10 minutes just for a box we asked again and about another 5 minutes we had to rudely demand a box. I haven't even started on the food. My mom really enjoyed her food, my food was decent, not terrible but definitely not the best, my brother unfortunately got a plate of pad Thai that was almost inedible. We all tried it to see if he was just being picky but we all agreed that it was no good. All together the food was mediocre, the service was awful, if you really want mediocre Thai at least go somewhere where they will be kind. read more

I'm a frequent visitor to Portland for family reasons and we usually go here at least once during our visit because we like it so much. Not so this time. We got there and we're seated promptly. My wife ordered some soup and I ordered one main dish with a side of rice. The food was slow getting out but we were in no hurry. When the main dish came out the waitress said she'd be right back with my rice. The food arrived luke warm and cool around the edges. I was waiting for the rice which I wanted to eat with the main course. I got tired of waiting and rather than send it back and wait, I was hungry and ate it before it cooled off even more. The waitress eventually came around to check on us. We had finished by then. We pointed out that the rice never came. She apologized and took it off the bill. Granted it was a busy Friday night but if you can't handle it hire more help. Sorry, but do you pay for cold food and lousy service? Think I'll be looking for other Thai alternatives. read more

As nice as the gals are you are expecting too much of the 2 and need to normalize service and food production during busy times. I don't get the 4 star reviews. Very mediocre Thai food but poorly received service. Called in a take out order and showed up in the 20 mins they told us that it would be ready and it seemed pretty obvious that they forgot to put in the order. They were nice about it so that's an extra star. Got home and they messed up the order. That's partially my fault for not double checking before leaving but why do I even need to? Also the Pad Kee Mao tasted a bit too sour and not even a hint of spice. With so many Thai options, this is definitely not on the list of places to revisit for me. read more
