When I called them they basically told me to bad- we usually raise our prices every 4 month and then don't do any long term contracts. The storage is in a great spot right off 59 and easy to access. The ladies at the front were very helpful. The process of setting up and canceling was super easy. The storage unit itself is clean and climate controlled. I shopped around and the prices were in line with most storage units. I would recommend! read more

I normally wouldn't post anything like this online, I can typically resolve these matters seamlessly without the need to reach out to external sources. I'd like to consider myself very non-confrontational and easy to communicate with. Prior to my experience yesterday I honestly had no complaints with this CubeSmart store, this is actually my second time doing business with them (Bob was the GM the last time we did business at this store). However at this point I'm at a complete lost because I've never experienced something so blatantly unprofessional and I'm almost certain that I've been robbed by the staff and or family and friends of the employees @Cubesmart 306 FM 2977 Rosenberg TX 77471. I paid movers to pack and move our belongings into the storage back in December 2021. The GM Esther Foster reached out to me on Friday June 24, 2022 that she and her staff he gone into the storage unit because of a smell coming from it and found a deep freezer that had food left in it and that my contract/lease would be unfortunately be terminated and that I had 72 hours to get my belongings out of the storage. I advised Esther that I was 10 hours away but I would get there or have someone get there for me. I asked her what was 72 hours for their business in this situation as I wasn't sure if the weekends counted or not. Esther advised me that I had until 6 pm on Monday June 27, 2022. I drove from west Texas to Rosenberg on Monday June 27, 2022 and made it to the store at 4:28 pm no one was in the office and there was two other customers out waiting to conduct business with this store. Esther and Sara returned around 4:45. When I informed them I was there to clean out my unit Esther informed me that I was too late and that I should have been there by 4pm and now there was nothing she could do, it was left up to her District Manager "Whit Ford". I reminded Esther of what we had discussed on Friday and she just said there was nothing she could do. I asked her to reach out to her DM and let them know how for I had driven to get there. 20 minutes went by and Esther picked up her cell phone, walked to one of the exit doors and pretended to take a call from her DM and told me that they were going to call me. I asked what would they need to call me for? I ended up having to call the police out to assist me with getting my belongings. When the police arrived Esther lied and told the officer that I was no longer a tenant there and that her DM (who still has yet to contact me as of the writing of this review) had reached out to me which was a huge lie. I'm not sure what happened to my belongings by I'm confident that they are no longer there especially since when I arrived I saw on the cameras that there was a huge white box truck parked in the back where my unit is located. I believe that Esther and Sara didn't expect me to make it to pick up my belongings and they got someone to take my things and they are now trying to cover their tracks. The material things that have been lost are not my biggest concerns because they can all be replaced. It's the small still like my sons ultra sound pictures and my grandmothers bible that I will no longer have. I noticed when researching that this store doesn't have any negative reviews on google which I find very odd because even the best business has someone who's not satisfied, so I tested it out and posted my review on the G website. As long as I was logged in as myself I was able to see my negative review, when I logged in as my husband you couldn't even tell that their had been a review made. As I stated earlier I don't like posting bad stuff about peoples businesses but this could not go without being posted. Covid has changed a lot of things and people and it seems to have changed the ethical practices of CubeSmart as a business. I dropped my belongings off in march in a storage unit we rented on the 1st floor. My husband signed the contract and got the $2000 insurance on the unit. He was told that the unit was climate controlled which is the only reason we were interested in storing our furniture and belongings. We went back to switch out a bed in march and everything was fine. Then when we went to pick up our belongings to move into our new residence it was terrible. The temperature inside the building was 87 degrees. Not the 55 to 70 whatever it was supposed to be at. There was standing water in a trench in the back of our unit. There was water dripping from the ceiling into our unit. There were puddles of water on the floor. There were rust stains from leaking pipes down the back wall. Everything in the unit was covered in mold. I got the manager and expressed my concerns and she was really nice named Ester. She started taking photos for her records and told us we needed to email cooperate. We got the $2000 from insurance. I would not recommend renting from cubesmart they have a 9 page contract stating you cannot sue them for total loss of a unit and they will not pay you more than 5 grand. 5 grand is the optimal insurance you can carry on their units. If I would have gone with my husband the day he signed the contract and seen all the red flags we would have hit the road right then and there. Stay safe and God bless read more
