the first time i came here i had a great experience. this time was absolutely awful. i had a man doing a full set who didn't even know how to do acrylic. there was acrylic EVERYWHERE it's all over my fingers and way past my cuticle . every single nail was slanted and he couldn't figure out how to file them straight. He also doesn't know how to use a drill, it was burning my nails so bad and I have a cut on my pinky from the aggressiveness. All of the acrylic is uneven and at one point half the acrylic broke off my nail and he just kept filing it more slanted. I finally asked for someone else to finish my nails and he kept grabbing my hand but the owner (i think, she did my nails the first time) finished my nails and i still hate them and Im so disappointed that i paid for them. Even as I was checking out the lady that did my toes asked me who did my nails last time and that I should request someone and apologized to me because she knew how badly the guy was doing my nails. read more

I was away for work for over 3 years. We just got back and first thing I did, I called Cuccio Nails, my favorite salon. Nhi is my go to person and she did an immaculate job! My nails were a complete mess, but she took her time. I am so pleased with my nails. She really pampered me and the ladies around are so welcoming. I'm back to my nail salon! Sad to say this was by far one of the worst manicure experiences I've ever had at a nail salon. My first time I went in for an acrylic fill with French gel nail, which took nearly two hours to do and came out looking really botched. The acrylic and gel were on my skin/cuticles and were lifted and chipping because of the careless work. She also forgot to use base coat which meant the polish would just come off. I also was left with multiple painful burns that turned to scabs and took a week to heal from the drill. I also paid $55 for it which was more than they said on the phone. I left disappointed and sad at the waste or money and time and the fact my nails were in such poor shape for a wedding I was going to. Days later I decided it was not right I was forced to pay so much for a nail job that left me in pain and would not last me. So I called and asked if I could come back in for them to fix it, they said yes and I went back in, where they then told me I'd have to pay to get them fixed, which made no sense as they should always offer to fix poor jobs for a service someone paid for. I proceeded to kindly let them know I was not comfortable paying again for something I already paid for and was falling apart, and after a while of talking they finally agreed to let me come back and get them done days later with the intial technician who had injured me and left me with a bad manicure... So I came back hopeful she'd put in more effort and do a better job. Again, she did not fix the nails but simply drilled the French tip off and added more polish on top. She again failed to use base coat, so the polish came off a week later. She also proceeded to put even more acrylic and gel on my skin and the nails somehow came out worse than the first time. I was really bummed I wasted so much time and money on nails that never came out right and included pictures on their poor job. read more

So I really liked my pedi here so I will def be requesting her again. She did a meticulous job. Perfect shape, no ingrown nail pain after, that I can get easily if there are sharp corners. Great natural toe nail shape. Meticulous paint job. I was hoping to get my same nail tech for my mani but I got someone else who had a hard time shaping almond nails. It started out round and off centered shaping. She also went perpendicular to the nail with the file, which as you can imagine was painful! The file was used flat, forward and back, front to back of my nail. Hard to explain but so bad for your nails...My nails broke so easily after too and it has to be from the damage in the way she filed. I was not impressed with her. I have never in my life had anytime file in that manner. I will go back to specific nail techs here. Someone next to me was gettin swiftly gel nails and it looked like a great job. If you are black DO NOT GO HERE! My last appointment was a month ago and I was treated horribly by Nhi, the woman who runs the shop. This is not the first time that she's done this to me. But it is the last. The first time I excused it because I thought that she may have been having a bad day. And, because I know her from a previous shop, therefore let it go. But this final time was worse, she roughly did my nails and when I pointed something out to her on my nail that I needed fixed she told me that it was too late in the process to fix she could've fixed it but chose not to. As I mentioned earlier in this review, I know Nhi from a previous shop and she use to be very nice and very good but the quality of her work has fallen and her rudeness has gone up. She consistently spoke negatively about me in Vietnamese to her colleagues, and I could understand some of what they were saying. The energy was rude and unwelcoming. About a year ago I recommended another black woman to her after she had complimented my nails. She went a few times then never went back. She didn't want to tell me but she experienced the same treatment. There are thousands of wonderful nail shops in the greater Los Angeles area and this one is not one of them. I'm happy to report that I have since found another shop that is 1000x's better than this one with better quality nail products. I will be posting a favorable review on them. Do not waste your time or money on Cuccio Nails, especially if you're black. They don't want your money. So sad! read more

In terms of cost, CUCCIO is probably the most reasonable in terms of cost, value and expectations. I visited here over the weekend and I go there late around 8:00 PM but my business was cheerfully received. I usually get a manicure/pedicure and foot massage for 15 minutes and they always do a great job ($71 plus two, $10 TIPS). The business was hurt by COVID and I can see they have new employees and the place can use a makeover in terms of paint and just an overall upgrade, but the service is good and they respect your business. If you live in Venice or MDR and want a good value, consider CUCCIO. RECOMMEND! read more

Love! This salon is so well-priced. I paid $50 for a hard gel fill with a French tip. Nhi took her time but wasn't too long, Shaping was great. She recommended I get a more subtle tip which was great because the French tip shape wasn't 100% the best (I didn't show a pic so that might have helped) so I'm glad it wasn't so bold. There is a parking lot as well!! Cash only but an ATM inside. There were many color options, but the gel color wheel was pretty worn so I would recommend getting a picture to show your artist and have them select the color. For the price 10/10! read more

Great hours and great prices. Like $46 for a mani-pedi. They do waxing too which is great for my nose and brows.

I used to come when they were under a different management and they did a great job. None of those manicurists are still there but I was in a pinch and needed a gel manicure. I called at 6pm and they were able to get me in before closing. The gel manicure was $35 and they can add tip on your credit card. The owner even made sure I got to my car okay because it was dark and there were some odd folks walking around outside. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is my nails are a little more square than I asked for so when they grow out the ends will probably break. Will come back though! read more

I used to love this place but my last few visits were disappointing. Got gelx for my trip and 4 of my nails broke in three days, didn't even last a week. My other 6 looked 2-3 weeks old and fully grown in just 7 days, paid $120 with a pedicure. Went in to get them removed and got a reg mani, which still left me with some cuticles, paid $26. I've been coming to this place for more than 8 months but won't be returning. I think prices are fair but it was waste of time and money. They do a very nice job with manicures and pedicures but if you are looking for a relaxing experience, this is not it. The staff seem to talk continuously and a couple of the ladies are quite loud and constantly chattering. It sounds like they are arguing but perhaps that's not the case. They are always polite when you arrive and you can generally walk in without an appointment. Anyway, it's clean, ample parking and many selections of nail polish but it's not the place to go for a zen/ spa-like manicure. read more
