Dive bar with live music! We came on February 13 at 9:30 PM. The lady singing was sooooo good! As far as the drinks, Mai Tai was yummy but the pina colada was probably the worst I've had. It was warm, zero ice blended with it and all the ingredients were separated in the cup upon arriving to the table. They have an open bar where you can see how they are making it and she just pulled it from a blender that looks like it's been sitting there for a couple hours. Would say a big plus to this place is the great, live music- except due to insurance reasons, there is no dancing allowed. That's fine, I didn't come to dance. But I can see how this can deter customers. The menu is your typical bar food, but obviously over priced. For instance, we ordered some seafood platter that includes calamari, coconut shrimp, and breaded fish over a "bed of fries." The cost for this platter was $19. The fries tasted like a frozen bag of fries and we had 2 coconut shrimp on the platter. Lol. I think 3 small pieces of fish and maybe 3-4 breaded calamari. Not worth the price in my opinion. Can't vouch for the drinks because we didn't have any alcohol. Wouldn't recommend this place unless you are just really looking for live music and don't mind over paying for your food food. The restaurant itself has a fun design. Lots of seating which probably allows you to be seated almost immediately. Easy to find the location of the place as well. Not sure of the parking or bathroom situation because I did not use either of those. read more

I thought this place was fun and is probably a good place for traveling families with teenagers and slightly younger. Kids are allowed (not to drink of course). Vibes were great as there was live music playing 'dad rock' favorites. Drink selection was decent and the food sounded good, but we only stuck to drinks since we just had dinner. I was looking for a 'painkiller' but ordered something that was really close to it. Basically tasted the same sans nutmeg. Drink was solid but only stayed for 1 drink cause everyone was tired and had a long day. Plus I think the band was finishing up. My only note on this place was that service was slightly slow but I think they were understaffed (at least I hope) as is much of the island right now relative to the influx of tourists. I've tried to get into this spot two nights prior to today & the line is way too long but we decided to come a little earlier (6:15pm) and we were able to walk right in and get seated! We ordered the Hawaiian version of Long Island Ice Tea.......woo lordt!! They were STRONG !!! We ordered the spicy garlic shrimp appetizer. It came out cold ....and we specifically asked if it was fried and the waitress said yes. But i suppose our version of fried was "deep fried" and hers was pan fried so they tasted steamed and were wet with the sauce. Not exactly what we expected but we chalked it up to a communication mishap We ordered burgers for our entree....after having to flag a server down to make the order. Although we were told we could only order our burger 'well done', it was pretty good. The fries had no seasoning but at least they were hot! They seemed quite short staffed in my opinion. The drinks are really delicious! Especially the drink in a pineapple! There aren't much options for vegetarians. The food was fine. Not too great nor too bad. The items marked spicy are really spicy and we enjoyed it. The service here is very slow. Food and drinks took for ever to be served. During rush hours, the service is all over the place. We got our food mixed up couple times & a dish was forgotten too! If you ask fir anything extra (eg, sub something or extra sauce etc), be prepared to be charged even if it ain't on the menu. Stumbled upon this place after dinner when looking for nearby bars that were still open and could fit our large group. This place has some nice tiki decor even on the outside. The first thing we noticed though when we walked up was the sign that said dancing was not allowed. We found this really strange, especially in a bar with live music...but we were already here so we decided to check it out anyways. I ordered the Tipsy Tiki and our waitress warned me how strong it was, so I braced myself when it came out, but it didn't really taste too strong to me. I wasn't a huge fan of the flavor either, but I tried a few of my friends' drinks which I liked a bit more, so I'd probably recommend ordering one of their other drinks. Overall though I didn't think their drinks were anything special. We didn't try their food so I can't speak on that. The live band was nice but we found that the environment wasn't really our vibe since dancing was prohibited, so we ended up leaving after one round. I want to give a shoutout to the live band that was playing when I was here, the Lani T band. They were amazing and played a lot of great songs and the singer was great as well. I saw older couples dancing, younger people dancing, and even some younger people dancing with some older people which was awesome to see. Live music (cover band) every night. I don't care what you're into, if you don't like the Eagles and Neil Diamond while you're drinking hard liquor from a pineapple, you need to re-evaluate your existence. We had already eaten dinner when we arrived and lined up to show our vaxx docs and get in. There was an older couple in front of us. Dude head to toe in Tommy Bahama. He was already dancing in an overzealous manner for someone in a small space waiting to be seated. More about him later. If the menu had a theme it would be "cuisine designed to soak up alcohol". We got wings and french fries. On the table are the pandemic rules (see pic). Time limit, masks, NO DANCING. The band repeatedly reiterated these rules and apologized. About an hour in Tommy Bahama couldn't help himself and began to dance in the way you'd expect from upper-middle class-boomer-corporate-caucasian on vacation. See the video for the scolding he received before he was ultimately ushered out, mortified wife in tow. Taking their place at the bar was "face tattoo couple" who ended up in a physical altercation before they even finished their first drinks. I love dinner and a show. My husband and I had decided to eat at a Korean restaurant that happened to be right next door to Cuckoo Coconut. Walking up to the restaurant we notice this place very fast because of the live band that was playing. We enjoyed listening to the music while we ate our Korean food next door. After we finished eating, we decided to check this place out for one drink. The live band sounded really good from the outside! We were promptly met with two really kind servers. They seated us very quickly. Since we'd already ate we only ordered drinks, but they all were really good and strong. Our one drink each somehow turned into more. I can't speak on the food, but what I saw other people eating looked good. The waiter who took care of us was hilarious, and genuinely seemed like he was enjoying his job. The band Rhythm & Rose were so much fun to listen to! Also, after reading this restaurants responses to dissatisfied customers, and their status updates on Facebook I love it even more! :) We might not live in Honolulu, but we will most definitely be back!
