    Combination Pho
    Stephanie C.

This lowkey spot offers authentic Vietnamese cuisine while making it feel like you're in someone's house. I appreciated the waitress' recommendations to try the taco pho, a fusion dish that combines the rich umami flavor of pho with barbacoa, taco strips, and radish. I enjoyed trying banh beo which was something that's not really available at other pho restaurants that I've visited. With their unique menu and lowkey layout, I will definitely be returning in the future. Quick tip though, they are kind of device-free, so you cannot order online, the waitlist is a paper outside the door, and you have to wait outside to until they call you, literally. The place only has five serving tables, but once you're seated, trust me it would have been worth the wait

I came on a Friday evening for dinner. There is a paper wait list outside the restaurant where you can put your name down. There's also some chairs for you to sit down while you wait. There are only five tables inside so it was a bit of a wait, especially in the heat. After one hour, I eventually got seated. I decided to order the 3 Hue Cakes combination and the pho old district dish. The flavors were really good and meshed well together. I especially like the rice cakes dipped in the sauce. The dumplings were wrapped inside a banana leaf and tasted amazing. I would definitely come here again but just be prepared to wait.

Hands down one of the best restaurant openings in Austin. I'm usually very picky about fusion food, but this family run restaurant does Viet/Texas fusion very well. There were no single overpowering flavors and everything blended in harmony. Their space is very small and intimate with a few tables, so the wait may be a while, but definitely worth it.

We enjoyed everything from the drinks through the appetizers and main dishes. Excellent service. Warm atmosphere. Delicious food. We will be back.

SOOOOO good. Like wow. Best vietnamese food I've had in Austin. The broth is so flavorful and rich and the pork plate was delishhhhh

I enjoyed the Bun Bo Hue as well although it didn't taste traditional.

Brussel sprouts were cooked and flavored perfectly. The rice bowl was okay, salmon was pretty basic and the fish sauce it was served with was a little too fishy for my liking, however the rice and veggies in the bowl were great, I wish there was hot oil/chili oil or a whole spice traY on the table because standing on like for 5-10 minutes anytime you need/ want something makes the experience not so great. Drink menu is extensive and everything we had from frozen to fresh made cocktails were delish! Decor is cute, modern and welcoming. Vegatarian menu without tofu is very limited . Would come back and try something else or even just for drinks! Staff was working quickly to get orders in, and clean tables when appropriate.

They give you a buzzer, and your food gets delivered to you once it's ready. Indoor seating is pretty limited, but it was nice to grab a spot inside during the summer heat. Parking is plentiful throughout the rest of the Domain. Super cool vibes, great Asian smokehouse concept. They offer a really great deal with two regular sized bowls and a salad for $30 total, which felt super worth it. We went with that option. Pork Belly Bowl ($16 individually, 8/10) - Soy hoisin base, really delicious and juicy, kind of Thai flavored - Pungent flavor and aroma that mixed really well with the side sauce - Rice itself was super flavorful, and a side of veggies Crunchy Cabbage Salad ($11.5, 7/10) - Shredded cabbage with a mayo based sauce and crunchy nuts on top that complemented everything well - Light salad, not too heavy, didn't leave you overly full - Good balance to pair with the richer pork belly bowl Overall, this Loro location was fantastic. Their current deal for two bowls and a salad is a great value and easy to share with another person. Definitely will be back to try their other meats and the brisket!

They are in a "soft opening" phase currently, and we got to meet the owner who was very enthusiastic about his business, the community, and garnering any feedback we had. The food is - in one word, impeccable. We went in for a snack and ended up ordered 4x as much as we meant to because everything was so darn delicious. The menu consists of baos, sushi, hand rolls, adorable pearl shaped nigiri, bento, and more - they are all customizable with yummy sauces (miso butter - mmm!), and many types of protein (seriously like all the protein options you can find at a premium sushi bar). Everything is served with house made sauces so if you are a condiment gal/guy like me this is your place! Food - I had the escolar, unagi, and scallop hand rolls (all under $5 each) and was so surprised by the quality / freshness of the protein and the portions given. The escolar was so soft and buttery. I then ordered the shrimp fresh roll (also under $5, it was HUGE) and the chicken katsu baos (around $6-7) - they were amazing. The chicken tenders are panko crusted and fried crispy. BF tried the steak baos and LOVED them too. Okay also did I mention the PRICES?! You can't get quality food like that for a greater deal. Drinks are all $8 and hit the spot :) The interior is not completely redone / set up yet but I can't to come back when it is! The phone / QR code system makes it so easy to order. JUST GO! and Support this incredible addition to the neighborhood.

It is pretty cheap, but the serving sizes match the price, not really filling you up. The baos were pretty good. The char siu pork belly didn't look the most appealing. But it smelled and tasted pretty decent. They give you a good amount of meat too. The turmeric chicken was pretty good too, I really liked the seasoning on this one. The sushi was ok though. The presentations was super cute, with the little sushi balls! But the fish itself didn't taste as fresh as I would have liked. The workers were all really friendly though. You can practically see inside the whole kitchen when you walk in, so it's a little unsettling walking in and seeing all the workers like standing there waiting for you to put your order in online, but interacting with them, they were really friendly.

Unfortunately, the owner wasn't very helpful and couldn't give any indication of how many bread was being sold or whether it was likely to sell out.I ended up driving about 30 minutes from Central Austin, only to find that the salted bread from the pop-up was already sold out. That was really disappointing. When I went inside the store to buy some regular items instead, the interaction with the owner was also frustrating. He seemed to misunderstand what I was asking and kept directing me to stand in the pop-up line, even though I explained multiple times that I just wanted to purchase items from the store, which didn't require waiting in that line. In the end, I bought a few small items, but three small items came out to about $20, which felt overpriced for what I received. The overall service experience was not pleasant. The owner came across as rude and unwelcoming, and it didn't feel like customers who made the effort to come support the business were being valued. I understand this is a small, local mom-and-pop shop, and I usually love supporting small businesses. However, customer service still matters--especially when people travel a long distance to visit. Because of this experience, I probably won't be returning unless it's for a pop-up event.

After a long day of shopping what better way to end it than with a delicious sushi happy hour!…read more I've been meaning to check them out and absolutely love their HH schedule. Monday - Saturday, 11 am - 6:30 PM. Sunday all day! We came in on a Saturday around 1 PM and were seated right away. It was busy, but not crazy packed. Our server William was super nice and very attentive. Checking in on us quite often. We selected all HH items for two of us: 8 oz Hot Sake $5.75 - Perfect pairing with our meal. We had 4 total. Shareables: Calamari $12.75 - It wasn't horrible, but we were expecting it to be tastier. We did like that it included veggies. Ceviche $9.50 - Wow would order this again for sure. So refreshing. Maki Not Raw: Tidal Wave $8.50 - Server recommended and I don't usually go for cooked sushi, but I'm def a fan now. Quite filling too. We could only finish half. Maki Raw: Lion King $8.75 - Server recommended. Pretty good. Pretty saucy with the chili aioli. Roja: $10.75 - My fav roll! So very fresh, flavorful and light. Our food came out at different times, but honestly this worked for us. It gave us time to finish most of our plates before the next item came and not have so many plates on the table. Great food and ambiance. Also what a bargain! Just wish I lived closer to go more often.
