People hype this place too much. Over priced beers. Their customer service sucks. Place isn't clean. And the banda didn't play.

This place is overhyped. Only good thing about it was the live music. Food is overpriced and very small portions. I came from Indiana all the way here and not worth the trip at all. The drinks are small, my sushi took forever to arrive. If you are looking for great sushi this is not the place !! Sushi Para M has unlimited sushi for $20 and it's amazing. El Kora has way better seafood for half the price and amazing michelada mix. read more

I was very disappointed in this restaurant. It's over rated. Everything has cheese in it. All the sushi rolls have cream cheese! This is not authentic sushi. Normally shrimp empanadas are just shrimp in a nice red masa. Nope not here, empanadas with cheese. The ceviches are good. I say skip the sushi rolls. One major concern of mine is, that they don't have a food allergy plan in place nor an allergy station in back. My friend and I stopped in and she has a shellfish allergy, she can have fish (salmon, tilapia, red snapper.) She really wanted to try the food and was disappointed when she was told there was no clean allergy station. The waitress had no idea what shellfish was!!! Big red flag there, maybe they need to be trained properly and told that 80% of what they serve is shellfish. We left and had some real sushi elsewhere. read more

Didn't give them 1 Star cause, the staff was really nice and the food was ok, but nothing that would make me want to go back. The biggest issue with this place is the music and not that I don't like that type of music. I like everything they play there a lot, BUT it's to loud in there!!! When I say loud, I mean really loud!!!! It was crazy, first the bandas playing in here are loud as it is, then they give them microphones and blast it over speakers as loud as they can. If I was at a concert or a club I'd get it, but I'm just trying to eat some Ceviche have a Michaelada and talk to my friends. It was so loud in here that I was sitting right next to someone and still had to yell at each other to hear what we were saying. Don't think I'll be back, nice place, food ok, but rather go somewhere else to eat where I don't come out deaf or loading my voice cause I'm trying to talk to someone by yelling. read more

Plan ahead. The wait to get seating is ridiculous which in essence makes one to think that the food is what the rant is all about. After an hour to hour and a half wait time the party of 8 was crammed in to what could comfortably fit 4 and at most 6. Not to mention that on a 30 degree day we were asked to wait outside. I kindly asked if we could wait in our cars and get a call when the table was ready. The hostess told us that we had to wait outside and that they couldn't call. The meals were brought out one at time which essentially meant that our food wasn't served at the same time and everyone didn't get the chance to eat together. The price is decent for what typically is charged for seafood however the taste and quality made it a place I wouldn't go to again. All in all the rant is more than what it's worth. read more

We had a table of 20, celebrating a birthday. There was live music playing late in the night while the restaurant was no longer busy, the husband of our bday girl got her up to dance bedside our table and security immediately came to sit them down. They said no dancing was allowed! Umm, you have a live band playing and an empty restaurant !!!! And we just had a huge party at your restaurant. Horrible service waited 2 hrs after they said it'll be 1 hr wait. Walked in and was seated in a tight table for 6. They are unorganized. We had to call someone to get menus. They took out drink order and all drinks were brought different times. Food? Same, some of us were done eating by the time the rest were served. We can't comment on the food because we were not even served. They didn't even seat us because our party only consisted of 2, although there were an abundance of tables available, for which they claimed were for parties of 4 or more. They kept trying to convince us to eat outside on the patio when it was 9:30 at night and cool outside. This was bullshit, so we kindly dismissed the hostess staff and walked out. The food here is off the chain. My girlfriend kept telling me about this restaurant and when I finally went there I can see why she kept wanting to go. All the rolls are fire as well as the sauces. I would say 80% of the menu is sushi and those ceviche bowls. We waited 30 minutes to give our drinks order and about another 30 for them to take our order. Food for everyone in our table came out and I had to wait 40 extra minutes to get mine!! Everyone was done eating by the time I got my food. I've never in my life waited this long to get my food, beyond ridiculous. The food was ok, but the service is as important as the food and the service was terrible. If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. I was there over the weekend and Manager Martin has no professionalism, they do not care about their customers. I could not finish eating because my bill was closed and I could not order anything else. You only have two hours to eat and they close your bill. They believe that only because of the live music makes up for every crappy thing they offer. The food is terrible, the ceviche is raw and the shrimp cocktail tasteless. I had high hopes for the place. Especially since I love sushi and spicy seafood. Like the rest, I fell in to the overhyped Facebook ads. Unfortunately, everything was extremely bland. Too bland & overwhelmingly greasy! I wouldn't recommend the place at all. Of course, they are still new, but they definitely need to start making new accommodations based on what their customers are telling them. Which by the looks of it, it's been quite some time already and still nothing progressive. Definitely won't be returning. I'll stick to the other Mexican seafood restaurants and real sushi places that put actual effort in their food/tasting & service. Way too hyped up folks, not worth it all. read more

Went with a party of twelve on a Saturday night, and based on the other reviews I was expecting a long wait with terrible service. But, was pleasantly surprised, the wait was rather short (the restaurant itself is not that big) and the service was good, but not great. We only had one waitress and for such a large party I would of expected two. Now, if you're looking for authentic sushi this is not the place for you, they offer Mexi-sushi. With nearly every roll including Philadelphia and avocado. Saying this, I do love my Mexi-sushi, so I'm happy we finally have this type of restaurant in Illinois and I don't need to go out of state to get a fixing! I ordered the Lupillo roll, it has crab and shrimp. I opted for the natural shrimp vs the tempura, for less calories. It was so good and large enough that I only needed one roll to fill up. I tired some of my friends plates and they were all very delicious. The Michelada spot-on, they use all the proper spices and just the right amount of beer-to-Clamato ratio! My only complaint is the waitress until we were paying to tell us they could only split the bill onto two credit cards, being a party of twelve this was extremely inconvenient. Thankfully they do have an ATM inside the restaurant. Overall, good food and an awesome ambience if you love banda! read more

TERRIBLE service! I had an issue with my untouched plate and after speaking to the waitress and two managers their solution to my problem was for me to REORDER a NEW plate and charge me for BOTH!!! The manager stated he couldn't take my food back "company policy". Aside from that, waitress never came back to ask if we needed another drink. Not to mentioned we had to chase the waitress down for the check only to find out she charged incorrect items and took another 15-20minutes to correct the issue-People BEWARE! Came here with a friend on a Sunday afternoon, and waited 20-30 minutes for a table. Good food but slow service. Our server was nice and all but very forgetful, not sure if he was new since it was my first time there. Food and drinks were brought out at a reasonable time but took 30 minutes to get our check, so my friend just ended up going up front to pay our bill. I might consider to check this place out again during the weekday to see if the service is any better, but not anytime soon. read more

If your looking for long waits and bad service Culichi Town in stone park is the place to go! First time there and completely disappointed. Food took forever and when I asked for an order of avocado 30 min later nothing. Who can eat ceviche with out avocado? When I told the manager about my experience his apology was to remove the charge for the avocados that I waited for and never got! Gee thanks ‍. That makes up for the waste of my time and poor experience! Waitress was not friendly and only stopped by to take the order and again to make sure we got the food. So a cuz from out of town was here and wanted some mariscos. I asked a friend what was good in the Northlake area. He recommended culichi. We saw the menu online and thought it was interesting and very near where we were at. Saturday night was packed at 7pm. We sat at the bar right away. We ordered micheladas and i thought they were very good. To eat, we got the coctel de camaron, and I liked the shrimp and stuff inside, but felt the coctail was very bland. No problem, they have lots of sauces and condiments to set the desired flavor. I personaly liked that, but my cuz did not. He is used to the tomatoe based flavor of this dish you find at 99% of other mariscos places. Now lets get to the music: its live and loud. Too loud. As I write this the next day my ears are hurting. It is resiculously loud to the point that the health department should intervene. Anyone who knows this and brings children here should be ashamed. Those kids ears are surely to get damaged by the obnoxiously loud music. The building is too small for that loud of music. The menu: take a close look. All the "sushi" rolls are more or less the same. Cream cheese in everything. All cooked shrimp in every roll with some containing imitation crab; lame. Not sure why they advertise "sushi" in there marketing. Its not sushi. It did look good, but I only eat sushi at real sushi restaurants, so I passed. If the music was not so loud I would give it 3 stars, I might go back again to try a roll and empanadas and order a different drink. But at a different location. Our service was prompt for two people sitting at the bar and the micheladas were really good. The food we had was just mediocre. Music was deafening. They are hurting peoples ear drums. Keep it below 85db culichi. If my hearing does not return to normal by tomorrow, I am getting it checked and documented. And one other thing, the ceviche dishes are all the same with slight variation in the vegetable they add to it. Look at their menu and you will clearly see. read more
