My sister and I decided to go out for brunch and found this family owned restaurant off of Poway Road in a little strip mall. It has been in operation in Poway for 53 years and is under new management and has recently had an interior refresh. When we entered the restaurant, we were quickly acknowledged and told we could sit anywhere we wanted. We chose a table for two and were brought drinks immediately. Service was great and our waitress assisted us with placing our order and answering any questions we had. All dishes here are cooked to order . I chose the Poway Omelette with a side of hash browns and sourdough toast. The omelette consisted of cottage cheese, diced tomatoes and avocado. It was a light dish and exactly what I was craving. The hash browns were crispy and cooked perfectly and the sourdough toast was great as well My sister ordered a Mushroom Burger with Swiss Cheese and a side of fries. The burger was amply sized and consisted of mushrooms, cheese, lettuce, tomato, onions and pickles. She ordered the patty medium rare and it too was cooked perfectly. Her fries looked so good, I had to try them myself. We were able to enjoy our meal in a peaceful and quiet atmosphere and didn't have to worry about a loud dining experience. We never felt rushed and we were able to relax and enjoy our food, drinks and conversation. We were there at 11:45 am and could have possibly missed the breakfast crowd All in all, we appreciated this family owned business and I intend to return soon to support them. Thanks again to the folks at Cully's for great food and service.

The friendly staff welcomed us as soon as we walked in. The food was delicious! I ordered a strawberry salad with grilled chicken. It came beautifully arranged on the plate! My friend ordered a veggie omelet. She said it was really good. We will de definitely return. They close at 2 and serve breakfast, lunch and dinners. They are located on Pomerado Rd in the same shopping center as O'Reilly auto parts.

Home Cooking with quiet atmosphere and cool temperature on a hot Poway summer day.

The owner, Vianey took my order,,, soft scrambled eggs, rye toast, and pork chop medium, and could I have the hashbrowns crispy on top AND bottom? Picky was I, but everything was kind of a test... The dish was exactly as I requested. And with that, I was won over, and will revisit many times in the future! *And for once this restaurant serves "mild" salsa! YUMMMMM!

Wow, what a wonderful dining experience! My husband and I went to Cully's for breakfast and we were amazed at the remodel of the established restaurant. With new management for over a year now, they have refreshed the atmosphere and at the same time retained the charm of Poway's best kept breakfast secret. They have very reasonable prices and are very generous with the portions. The food was spectacular!! We look forward to visiting our new favorite brunch spot soon!

Stopped by this little hidden gem after their new management and I'm glad I did. Not only was the food delicious but also the service we got. We enjoyed their chilaquiles and their amazing hand made tortillas. Loved the friendly and home feeling ambience.

Hash brown, over easy eggs and tasteless/soggy chicken fried steak. Hot chocolate that taste gross.

It's been years since we went here for breakfast. I wanted hash browns so I ordered chicken fried steak which comes with 2 eggs and hash browns. Hubby ordered the $10.00 senior breakfast. He said the sausage was spicy, pancake, scrambled egg and free coffee was ok. I didn't like the chicken fried steak which was soggy and no flavor, so I only ate half, eggs was ok and hash brown was normal but the hot chocolate was nasty. Too milky and barely taste the chocolate. I told the waitress I would rather have OJ. I almost gag and left it alone. Hubby said he will not come back again. I usually get excited for good food.

Is the Fried Chicken Steak breakfast chicken or beef? My wife doesn't eat beef but love fried chicken. So would that be a good match for her breakfast?

    "Chicken Fried Steak" is beef.

I see they've revamped the walls upstairs and seem to have added more seatings too. I noticed they have a water dispensary area which is self serve. There's also a QR code for the menu, but I went ahead and searched the menu online and was helped by Tristan when all my friends have already placed their orders. He made sure to ask how I wanted my eggs done and if I wanted to add anything else. But also orders can be placed using the scanned QR if a server hasn't had a chance to check on your table. I ordered the avocado Benedict with hash. My friends ordered the chilaquiles and french toast, and a bunch others that I didn't get to take a pic of. However, I was able to try the chilaquiles, and the steak on that was so flavorful, the tortilla chips were nice and crispy, and the sauce in the bottom had a slight kick to it but with the mix of crema it helped balanced out perfectly. As for the cinnamon brioche french toast, that was one of the best French toast I've had in a while. Nice and crispy but still fluffy in the middle, with that nice cinnamon flavor, topped with whipped cream and berries. As for my order of the avocado Benedict. You can choose how you want your eggs cooked, and I had mine poached. Can def. Add other proteins to the dish with extra charge, but I wanted to keep it as is. The brioche bread was fluffy and buttery like too, it was great for absorbing some of that hollandaise sauce and yolk. My friends also ordered two bottles for mimosas. We had lychee and mango syrup/puree and it gave such a tropical and summer vibe. We also ended our meal with some desserts. We had the cream puff ube, cake choc brownie, and cheesecake caramel apple. My fav. Out of the three, was the cake choc brownie. I think I would be able to eat two of those if I wasn't full. Just loved how the chocolate mousse on the top melted in the mouth, but also that brownie isn't the typical brownie texture. It has a crisp to it. The mousse and crispiness just melts so deliciously together. I should've ordered another for takeout. Service was great despite it looking busy. Food didn't take too long to come out either. But we also did dine in at a decent time too. We had such a good time, especially for my friends who tried it out for the first time. I see they also have a dinner menu now. Maybe we'll come back to try that next time!

Ive brought friends here in the past and have always gotten positive feedback afterwards. Recently though, it feels like it's lost a little of its charm. The menu needs updating because with all the crossed out items on the board, it looks a little low end and like they're out of things. But they also always seem to be out of multiple items when I come these days. There's no food options any more most of the time, but the display cases remain. And seating... it feels like they got rid of 1-2 tables and the tables that were outside. There never seems to be enough seating so it's both cramped while also empty looking now. They have these side benches to sit on, but no one ever uses them because they're not super comfortable or good to chat with anyone with. Also, the bathroom. It's usually open, but twice now Ive been in there where there's zero toilet paper or the paper towel dispenser is out, but someone has just put a roll on top to tear at your own will. I loved this place so I hate saying more negative than good. The drinks remain amazing, but for a spot that is so popular, it's losing some of its own charm.

The first three things that came to mind after dining here were high quality ingredients, the customer experience/ambiance, and attention to detail. Eddie who I believe is the gentleman who runs the place was my "cashier" he provided the two recommendations photographed below (I am not a photographer) but I can tell you they were both out of this world. The Prosciutto & Fig, Toast and the Allen's Tuna Cool and Tasty. The staff was warm and inviting, and though this is a coffee shop, they came around table to table, customer to customer and asked how they were doing, and if there was anything they could do to make the experience better. You just don't see that in a coffee shop. This place is an entire experience and it's clearly built around highly effective culture. I will drive out of my way to come here, I discovered this place on a whim and will now be regular. If you get a chance, whether you're a local, or someone just visiting "Cali" give this place a try you won't regret it, ask Eddie about his story of how this place got started with him and his three daughters. I'd be willing to bet you'll add it to your rotation and become a regular yourself.

The eggs and hash browns were mediocre at best, and the bacon was so overcooked it had the texture of a chip and was way too salty. The menu overall felt overpriced for the quality, especially since most items were $17+. Customer service was fine, but nothing stood out or made the experience better. The food did come out quickly, which I appreciated, and our drinks were refilled in a timely manner, which made the experience smoother. The one true highlight was the sourdough toast--it was actually really good. For comparison, places like Broken Yolk Cafe offer breakfast-style meals at a lower price with comparable (or even better) quality and portion sizes, which made this restaurant feel overpriced for what you get. Their website lists prices as $10-$20, but in reality most items I saw were $16+, so the pricing felt higher than expected and feel that should be updated ! That said, I personally find this place a bit too pricey for the overall food quality.
