Located in downtown Glendale, this is the spot to go to for amazing Mexican fare! Parking is on the street which wasn't difficult on a Saturday at 10am The space is small but they make the most of it and a huge part of that is the beautiful murals on all the walls by a local artisan. Banquettes line each side & the seating is comfy! The decor and seating definitely add a touch of elegance to this cute restaurant. The neon sign "Life is better when you brunch" has never rang more true than when you brunch here! They also have a wall with some beautiful faux cherry blossoms against dark wood that gives cherry blossom tree vibes. Even the restroom is beautifully painted and clean. The menu--you cannot go wrong with anything you order! We started with the Birria Egg Rolls and the Chile Relleno Egg Rolls. They were both delicious, flavorful and paired perfectly with the right dips! Our fave was the Birria, it had lots of meat inside. My friend ordered Aguas Frescas melon & Horchata, I got the agua mineral. The drinks come served in cute mason jars. The Horchata came with a coconut, sugar, cinnamon rim and the melon comes with a chamoy tajín rim. Both the Horchata and melon tasted fresh and the best part was that they keep your glass full with free refills! My agua mineral was served with a glass filled with ice topped with a lemon wedge. It was perfect, I added in my aqua mineral and squeezed in the lemon. My friend ordered the Chilaquiles with chorizo and the eggs scrambled. I ordered the Pambazo. He loved his chilaquiles & I tasted them too, they were delicious! My pambazo had a great flavor. I just wish the bread was toasted (or grilled) more. It was a little on the soggy side but it stayed put together. The green sauce that they put on the side of it was absolutely delicious! It had great flavor and only slightly spicy. We also ordered spicier Hot Sauce and she brought a red sauce and a darker red sauce that was super spicy and perfect for all our food. The pambazo is messy but definitely worth it! DESSERT IS A MUST! We got the Very Berry Concha. It's a pink concha filled with Nutella, Vanilla ice cream, Berries, Raspberry Sauce and Lechera drizzle! I've been doing a lot of traveling lately, and good Mexican food is hard to find. Spending a week here for Spring Training, so I thought I would see what's out there. I love a good plate of chilaquiles, and this place offered it. Close to where I was staying and in a cute part of town. It was empty when I arrived around 9:30, but it filled up within minutes. My food came fast since I was the first person to order. It was a massive plate and filled with delicious toppings. You can also order half green/half red sauce if you want. Delicious meal. If you're Glendale born & raised as I am, you'll recognize this location to be where Lenny's Burger was for several years. As sad as it was to see them go, Cultura Mexicana is the perfect restaurant to take over such a classic! Colorful yet simple ambiance with very welcoming and beautiful wait staff. The menu is breakfast and lunch served all day. It's a very limited menu with only the best of choices when you want to eat brunch, Mexican style! There was 4 in our party and we each ordered different plates, and each plate was returned CLEAN, that's how delicious it was! We look forward to returning. Mexican restaurant by Glendale Avenue was wort visiting. Food here has quite authentic touch and elegant appearance. Huevos ranchero was tasty, and similar to the ones you get in Mexico. Cafe de olla was also tasty - not overly sweet, but with authentic flavors. The dining area is quite small and we were party of 10 without prior reservation, but we were accommodated efficiently within 25 minutes. Based on reviews and first time trying this place with friends, it fell a little short for us. Service was a bit slow, took about 20 minutes for our drinks.
