Placed my order around 6:15 ish, got settled in a booth quickly after. There was a little mix up in the kitchen with my order; as they brought out the wrong entree twice, but the manager came over and gave me the second entree (the wrong one) for free, apologized profusely before heading back to the kitchen to get my order straightened out. It was only about another 10 min before my burger finally arrived, the manager along with it. He was very nice, even offered me a free dessert for my patience. I ordered the Mushroom Swiss burger, the double, so it came with two patties, and a side of fries and a fountain drink. It was surprisingly very good for a semi-fast food restaurant. Enjoyed it, along with my company of friends. The manager then came back and gave me two menus full of desserts, even taking the time to pull up a chair and explain a few of the options. Very good service to make up for the mixups in the kitchen, made for an enjoyable first time dining experience at this Culver's. read more

The food is hot and fresh. The ice cream was enough to end my love of Coldstone creamery because the cookie dough here is amazing and isn't stale like I experienced at Coldstone. The butterburgers are delicious! Also, if you haven't tried the cheese curds yet, you are missing out- they are little pockets of deliciousness! Dan, the owner, is a kind and driven guy with an amazing staff behind him. They welcome you and make sure your dining experience is everything that it should be. If you ever experience anything less than perfect, Dan won't hesitate to make it right. I would call the level of service at this restaurant "the Chick-fil-a experience". That is hard to find in Charlotte, but these guys are getting it down pact. If you haven't gone yet, this place should be in your list to try. We will definitely be back. read more

Great butterburgers, salads, cheese curds, Culver's brand root beer and check out the flavor of the day custard! Service is friendly & they bring your order to the table, which is nice, especially if you have little kids. The atmosphere is a bit cozier than most fast food places. The location in front of Ikea is a bit tricky to get to. Coming down University from the East, go past Ikea Blvd and Zaxbys and turn in the Culver's driveway. From the West you have to hook a U-turn at the light and then go past Zaxbys, turning into the next driveway at Culver's. Otherwise you can take the scenic route down Ikea Blvd, make a U-turn and turn onto the road that runs behind the restaurants. read more

For fast food is was up to par. The options were great, the food delivery was fast and they bring it to your table so that's nice. The staff didnt stand out really, weren't welcoming or very friendly. The food was greasy and I guess that's a given for a burger with the word butter in its name. The swiss mushroom was bland and greasy for no reason. If you want rumble guts, highly recommend. If you're wearing white and live more than 30 mins away, don't you dare. The fries were good and the sauces were okay at best. The atmosphere was good, but the overall experience left us feeling let down. The ice cream looked good and sounded good but there was no way we were going to try for dessert with stomach aches. Maybe next time we come, we will start with dessert first. read more

Terrible experience! I cooked in the restaurant industry for 20 years. I understand how stressful and overwhelming it can be at times. But we got here when they first opened up. The cashier rung up my wife's order wrong. She distinctly asked for a basket and she didn't listen or hear that. Both of our burgers were made wrong. I went back to rectify it. Another cashier wrote down our remake ticket correctly and the kitchen didn't bother to look at the ticket and got our order wrong again! They were not swamped with orders at the time. I feel like the staff could care less about customer satisfaction and just wanted to get me out of there. I don't expect preferential treatment, just wanted what I asked for. Not sure what others are raving about...this was a greasy flavorless mess. Drive thru was slow and one you pay you have to drive around to wait 5-10 mins. Tried tenders..salty and highly breaded. So I finally tried the cod last week, and I would strongly recommend it. It was lightly battered, crisp, and the fish itself was beautiful and flaky. I honestly was very impressed, and I would definitely get it again. The service is still top notch, and I do find it funny that, while Culver's is known for their burgers and their frozen custard, it's the other items on their menu - like the Reuben and the cod - that I think they excel at. I would recommend this to anyone, although personally, I would look beyond the burger menu and try some of their other dishes. :-) read more

Today was the first time I've been to Culver's. I tried the Wisconsin swiss melt, onion rings, and an order of cheese curds. Everything was delicious! The Swiss melt was soooo cheesy and awesomely greasy lol. The onion rings were flavorful and crisp. I must admit though, i wanted to try the cheese curds the most. I heard very good things about them and they lived up to their hype. I was even impressed with the nice woman who worked the drive-thru. Driving through and wanted to try someplace new ... I have never heard of Culver's, but saw the parking lot and drive-thru were packed. Figured I would give it a shot. The burgers are huge, plenty of flavor, and lots of toppings. The cheese bites are amazing. The onion rings are almost as good as the cheese bites (I am a fan of cheese, so kinda partial here to the bites). The chicken tenders are good, I suggest the Buffalo tenders dipped in ranch with Frank's Red Hot - so good! The have a killer diet root beer ... I know what you are thinking, I just loaded up my heart with fried foods only to get a diet root beer - don't judge me (LOL). Look forward to returning, suggest anyone check it out. read more

Culver's was okay. It's definitely a unique chain of fast food. The service is friendly. I wasn't aware after you order and pay at the drive through, you're supposed to pull over to a specific section where they'll bring you your food ( like Sonic drive-in...kind of). I was glad they had fish available as a quick option. It was a simple recipe but not bad, and I was able to get mashed potatoes and greens beans, as a opposed to something fried. If I go back, I'm interested to try their milkshakes and compare them to other fast food restaurants. read more

Ummm one word unimpressed... they have a huge menu with mainly burgers and chicken tenders. I tried the tenders and the BF had the single burger. Everything is cooked fresh and came out quickly. My tenders weren't bad but they weren't good either... the French fries were good! The burger looked similar to Freddy's (but didn't match in taste) and according to the BF they didn't give much toppings (i.e tomato, pickles). It was okay but I will not be rushing back. read more

I love the burgers at Culver's. Hands down...the best place for burgers at a chain restaurant. All of their burgers have that slightly crispy exterior while being nice and tender on the inside. They also have nice compliments to go with the burgers. The staff is very friendly and yet professional despite being mostly high schoolers and/or college kids. You can get a really good burger and be in and out in no time. Also, the shakes are very good. They taste like their homemade and not made from a powder like some places. Mine were fresh and hot, tasty... not too salty. They were absolutely perfect! Finally got to try out Culver's after hearing so much about it. I ordered the Culver's Deluxe (Double Cheeseburger) with fries and a vanilla shake. The burger was ok. You can tell they use fresh ingredients which is good. The fries were good and were cooked perfectly. The highlight of the meal was the vanilla shake. It's probably one of the best milkshakes I've had. Will definitely return to get a shake and maybe try something else on the menu. read more

Near perfect fast food. A great, hot, juicy burger cooked to perfection. The fries, onion rings and cheese curds (more on these later) have always come out hot and fresh, like they were cooked to order. The custard is excellent. I recommend not getting a shake, but instead getting a Concrete Mixer, as it seems to be more value for the price and isn't milky/melted like the shakes. The cheese curds are great. Think fried mozzarella bites, but with a rubbery, squeaky quality to them. These are great. Their fries, while good, are "just" crinkle cut and not fresh cut, so I always get the Curds as my side instead. Prices are actually pretty decent. You can get a burger, fries and drink (even if upgrading to custard, like I do, instead of a drink) will set you back around $8-12 depending on the number of patties or fancy toppings or premium sides. read more

We went to Culver's and were so excited to try it for the first time. Unfortunately, we were highly disappointed. The people in the drive through were not friendly, at all. Our sodas tasted like seltzer water. We ordered deluxe burgers with bacon, which we paid extra for and not only was the bacon missing, so was everything else. We received two burgers with just the meat, cheese and a little ketchup on them. The only thing decent was the cheese curds, but still not worth the money we wasted.
