I love Culver's as they have great food usually and great customer service, usually. I was very disappointed in this particular location. I went for fish fry one night. I expected it to be busy, but this was utter chaos! They did not have anything done, they did not know what orders were what. Part of the food was cold and part was underdone. They told me where I should park, when I did get my food they told me I was parked in the wrong place, even though I parked where they told me to park. I waited over 30 minutes for food, it was not good. I will never go back to this location. The servers were rude and I can spend my money at a different culver's. read more

Like other fast food places they are short on staff, low on morale, and can't seem to realize that they just have to pay their employees more and treat them better. Stopped by this location while in the Brookfield area. Note: ordering and dining inside is NOT allowed at this time within the restaurant, which is unlike other Culver's locations in SE MKE. Soo back into my car and through the drive thru I went. The line moved swiftly for a late Saturday afternoon. The employee taking orders was polite and patience. She re-confirmed my order which I appreciated. We got 3 kids' meal butterburgers with cheese and they were delicious! ..Unsure if I was just extremely hungry or what!?! But for a 'kids' meal it was defiantly one of the better burgers I've had at Culver's. I forgot to request ketchup for the fries and they didn't ask. Also, they did not offer napkins within the to go bags. 3 stars for the small portion of custard that came with the kid's meal....I've eaten at many Culver's over the years, and I have never seen an actual smaller scoop of custard given for a kid's meal expect at this location (typically it's your normal 1-scoop serving). read more

I always appreciate the quick work at this Culver's. The food is always good! However, I'm not as convinced with the custard side of things. Every time I get a 2-scoop sundae, it looks like it's 1 scoop with minimal toppings. For the price paid, it would be nice to get what we paid for. I think this location has pushed me to my breaking point. Culver's has zero interest in getting your order right, and when you call them on it, their response is "sure I'll get that for you, I'll just need your card." You'll wait ten minutes , only to get your botched order, and they think you should wait another ten minutes just so they can get it right. No thanks. F these clowns. I have zero problem being charged for the food I order. However I have a huge problem with their inability to understand the simplest of orders, and then expect you to waste your time and just wait around while they figure it out. I want to give this Culver's a five star review but like many other restaurants with drive thru windows the walk-in customer is second class. I watched as car orders were filled and given priority over orders place in the store. As one of my bosses used to say "The customer in front of you is more important than the drive through or phone customer. The customer in front of you has the ability to buy more long after the drive through customer is gone." Multiple health code violations. Employees decide when they want to open/close the restaurant rather than offering their posted hours of operation. This location also lacks any easy access route to get there and as of today, their only entrance/exit is blocked with traffic cones. Won't last long against other competitors on Bluemound. Pass. Having tried their signature items in the past and been unimpressed (ie, butter burger), I thought I'd switch it up today and fulfill my cheese curd craving. Once again, I was left feeling unsatisfied and sluggish. A side of cheese-curds runs just over $3, and though cheaper than the ones at McDonalds, the taste is far from satisfactory. Mostly bread crumbs and grainy, flavorless cheese, Culver's poorly represents an iconic Wisconsin tradition. Honestly, the only thing I like is the custard - it's AMAZING. I'd be fine if they eliminated the other food items. I even got a two scoop on a snow day with below zero temperatures. Obviously I'm not looking for 5-star service or food quality when ordering in a drive-thru, but the one thing that never disappoints at this location is the staff. Though it's a pretty young bunch, they all seem happy to be there. Cleanliness is hit or miss, but it's usually reflective of how busy and well staffed they are at the time. This is our family's go-to Culvers. Inside is always clean and staff is always courteous and friendly. If you get drive thru or takeout ALWAYS check your food. Without fail almost every time there is something missing from our order whether it is a sauce we requested, a side of fries, or one time 2 of our burgers. I don't believe I've written a one star review however this Culver's location is deserving given the abominable way the night manager and owner handled my complaint. Imagine you are hungry and it is 9:40pm. You are on your way home and pass businesses that are open to give your business to a local restaurant. It is now 9:52pm and good fortune! The lights are on in drive through and restaurant. People are going through drive through. You pull up to order at 9:54 pm and you wait, hopeful and hungry. At 9:58 a recording plays that the drive through is closed. I had this experience and I believe I was justifiably agitated. I pulled up to takeout window. Kids milling inside. A person comes out to deliver food and I pull forward and yell over that I would like a complaint card. I explained what I was upset about. They argue and justify. I simply want to complain. I asked for their name or employee number. You're told they are the night manager and they don't have to give you their name. So you pull out of the way to send a complaint through the website. Two days later a police officer calls you! The owner says they have reviewed security tapes and that his non-existent staff all claim you were in a yelling match with said night manager. Seriously?!? Call the police? I never left my car. I did not use profanity though I most definitely did not like the poor service. The owner has the right to choose to serve whomever they like but involving the police?! SERIOUSLY over kill and waste of public servants time. By the way, Elm Grove police were absolute professionals. I am absolutely in favor of protecting staff and the right of a business to serve whoever they want however I videotaped this myself (yes Mr. SelfImportant owner... I have video too). The employee could see I was videoing. Fortunately for me. They essentially fabricated an elevated altercation to punish an unhappy former customer. So next time you receive poor service (especially at this Culvers) consider that this owner probably just doesn't want your business. read more

It's very sad that this location has the worst service !!close to my home and I am hopeful my order will be correct just once and it never ever is ! every visit had something missing out of my order and the wait time is always long even with 2 cars in line .this week I watched 2 cars a head return their shakes for diff flavors or sizes and the bags went back I sat 46 min snd watched while awaiting a grilled cheese which was old white bread not melted or toasted .also had ordered 2 dishes of ice cream and 1 was correct the other was wrong with tons of whip cream and hardly any ice cream cream .They actually scraped it off and put the 1 inch of ice cream in a short cup compated to the correct cup of ice cream. I love this place. The staff is professional and always friendly, wears gloves and masks every time I have been there and unlike McDonald's they actually wear them over both nose and mouth properly! The order is always fresh and tasty and quality ingredients. If there ever is an error its fixed quickly and no haggling like down the road at McDonald's. Try it, you're gonna love it. Just got the shake here! And it was great. Chocolate banana. The shakes here are made from custard so they're kinda on the softer side so I recommend asking to make them thicker so they'll put in some malt powder. It makes more of a shake.
