Been to this Culver's quite a lot ever since I moved around the area! I like going to this specific location a lot; it's easy to enter off the busy road and the drive thru is easily accessible with a good amount of parking out front. Sometimes the drive thru line can get packed during peak hours, and there's not enough room to pull up so it causes a bit of a cluster at times. But nonetheless, it usually goes smoothly. The employees here are very friendly and approachable, I never had a problem with the service here! The food at Culver's SMACKS - if you know you know. I specially am a die-hard for their concrete mixers, shakes, and turtle sundaes. Their cheese curds, butter burgers, and fried chicken sandwiches are also all a hit, but the desserts here reign supreme in my opinion. Sometimes with the sundaes it's a hit or miss with the toppings - I think it depends who makes it, because sometimes they come loaded and other times they come served with a weak amount of toppings. We ate at @culvers in Elmwood Park recently. I heard so many people rave about their food. We had the grilled chicken sandwich and the Strawberry Fields salad with grilled chicken and raspberry vinaigrette. Did not really care for the chicken sandwich it was pretty tasteless. Strawberry Fields salad was good, and all ingredients were fresh, but, I didn't care for the vinaigrette all that much. Service was just okay in fact it was a little slow considering the small amount of people that were there. Perfectly fine experience. I was waiting in my car for my teen to get a haircut at nearby Frank's Barber Shoppe and decided to drive-thru for a Coke & fries. $5.04 isn't bad for a medium Coke and medium fries. Both were good. Fries were hot and fresh. Coke was icey cold and delicious. The line moved quickly. The parking lot was shoveled. Staff wore masks. Staff was pleasant and efficient. All good. I'd still like more vegetarian and vegan options, but that's more of a Culver's corporate request. The exit is tricky here. I agree with the other Yelper, Eric, who warned about getting lost in Elmwood Park's weird one-way grid of side streets. I found my way back to Grand Avenue eventually. read more

Look for the blue & white awnings off of Grand Ave a few blocks west of Harlem. These days my go-to order is the bacon deluxe, usually subbing out the fries for mashed potatoes w/gravy. Wisconsin cheese curds ($4) are worth every penny. I'm saddened they got rid of their $5 snack pack meal deals (single burger + small fry + small drink). They were the perfect size and made for an ideal lunch that was both speedy and filling. If you aren't paying close attention how/where you exit this Culver's, you might get stuck in the roundabout that surrounds the nearby Elmwood Park recs department. Wave hi to Ann Perkins and circle back around to Grand, or try your luck on one of the radial side streets. I was there to dine in and my meal was served pretty fast, but the point is they were so busy making a huge order for a school they still have time to take care of the other customers!!! Great job. The atmosphere is great and all the employees were happy, joking, and just doing their job without complaining!!! They have such a great manager. I've seen him. Customer service through the drive through is HORRIBLE. The lack of attention the worker who "took my order" earlier today. I repeated my order loudly and she continued to ask me the same things whether I wanted this or that. I told her no cheese at least 4 times yet when I got home from my 30 minute drive back and opened my burger, I HAD CHEESE!! On the receipt as well it did not say no cheese. Please explain to me why me and my 3 kids walk in at 9:05pm and not one person asks us what we would like to eat. We waited for 5 minutes and just had kids behind the counter glare at us and walk away. There were only 2 people seated in the restaurant. The drive thru didn't have 10 cars in line. Dam I'm so hongry. We went to the accountant @ 11am & got out around 3pm. My wife ordered the cod sandwich loaded w/a perfectly crunchy battered crispy piece of fish served piping hot w/lettuce, cheese & Mayo. I tried a bite it was delicious. I ordered the double butter bacon cheeseburger. This was also very tasty. I guess when you you're ravenous and haven't eaten all day anything is good. Obviously Culvers isn't Kuma Burger or Au Cheval but it's a decent inexpensive burger. It sure was delicious & really hit the spot. read more

My night was going well until we went to this specific Culver's near my university with my girlfriend and when we pulled up to the drive thru we were greeted by a cheery and upbeat voice and we thought that was very nice to hear because that's not something someone would hear at a fast food drive thru so we're not at all mad at that woman she was very sweet so this review is not at all targeted at her just one worker in particular because when we pulled up to the next window to get our food my girlfriend asked the guy if they had any ketchup he then proceeded to make an unnecessarily snarky comment that went along the lines of, "yeah, every establishment does." First let me say, " l love Culver's!" It is my absolute favorite burger joint! I frequent the Elmwood Park location although I have been to many, many locations! Here's my problem: on 3/10/2024 at 5:14:05 pm I placed order #aaa6wl4yaeb6. A cheeseburger kids meal with apple juice, 2 bacon deluxe, 1order of fries and 2 shakes. At 5:34 (20 mins later) I had to ask if the bag on the counter was mine. Which it was, but no shakes were ready! Upon confronting the manager about the extremely long wait, he very unprofessionaly said loudly in front of the rest of the customers in the restaurant " just wait and I'll refund your order but you can keep the food". It came off as condescending! I wasn't looking for something for nothing! Or to be embarrassed with a comment like that! I just think that the total time I waited was way too long! HORRIBLE, they don't let kids 15 & under dine in. The cashier had took our order and did not let us know about this policy! My friend and i, had already sat down and this worker comes up to us and asks to see our ID, we show her and then she left. So I pull up into what appears to be the drive thru lane. I'm sitting there about five minutes. No movement. Finally, the car in front of me moves up to the mic - so the car in front of that one took that long to order??? The people in front of me order, then it's my turn. Large chocolate malt and a small order of cheese curds. More waiting. I get to the window - they confirm my order and take my money. I can see that the staff there is putting their best foot forward to get things done. They're trying their best and are really courteous especially as busy as they are. But my issue is more with the store and the chain than the staff, who was good. I spent about nine bucks, which in my mind was kinda pricey. The drive thru wasn't functioning properly and I ended up exiting and finding myself on a street that took me out of my way. Horrible service and very unprofessional staff......full of teenagers that are just in there visiting family and friends that are working. Made my family and I feel uncomfortable as they were taking pics of us and videos! We had to pack our food up and leave because my kids were uncomfortable! Spent 80$ and packed it to go which ended up in garbage because it doesn't taste the same once you wait time to eat it. I called the restaurant to speak to a manager and instead of offering a meal or even partial refund he only said "ok I'll speak with other managers and sorry about that" I've managed restaurants for almost 20 years and definitely would have handled the situation differently! read more

Absolutely love this new location! It's about time we have some more fast-food options in Elmwood Park! In particular, what I love to order is their ice cream/ custard! I've tried the food a couple of times, but the highlight of this place is the ice cream. It's creamy, tasty and perfect every time. I ordered their vanilla custard with Oreos and peanut butter, which tasted sooooo good. My siblings also enjoyed their ice cream. Also, the service was spectacular as everyone was so nice and accommodating. I will definitely be back! This is a beautiful new Culvers which just opened up within the last year. We love the large fancy stone wall which makes it look so fancy inside for a fast food place! Its immaculate clean inside. I only eat salads at Culvers and they are always very good and fresh. My mom always orders hamburger basket and always thinks they are good. The first time we were here it was kind of slow and food took a long time. But today food came right away. We eat inside versus carryout and as I said, bathrooms and facilities spotless. Today we experienced some weirdness that was probably just a training issue. My mom got our plastic order number and my cup for water and set them on the table. She then went to the soda stand / condiment stand to get soda and ketchup. I used the ladies room during that time. I asked mom where we were sitting and she said to look for the plastic table tab. But it was nowhere to be found. So we both wandered aimlessly all around the restaurant looking for it. Mom insisted that she knew which table it was. We asked staff but nobody would admit to taking our table number tab! There were no apologies either. Instead she said she would find us. It just seemed kind of stupid for my 90 year old mom and I to be wandering all around looking for our table. Staff obviously cleared away the table number plastic tab and my drinking cup. The usual procedure is that staff always takes the plastic table number tab as soon as they bring your food. So there are some training issues here. On a side note, if you are heading westbound down Grand to continue on, you should exit out the east most exit. If you exit at the westbound exit you cannot get back out onto Grand and will have to navigate the twisty curvy streets of Elmwood Park to get back out. read more
