I hadn't been here since before Covid and returned on a Friday night for an eat in experience. Service was very good and the food was what I expected. Parking is easy. So after going back to this location. I have to say, it is a lot better. Maybe it was just the patty melt that lacked a whole lot of flavor, but their butter burgers, especially the deluxe, are outstanding. Plus now they have switched to Coke products which was the right move. Very messy, and very heavy, but I thoroughly enjoyed it and would order again. Next time, I would appreciate some napkins though. There is a recurring theme with inaccuracies of drive-through orders here, now they've hired a new Indian drive-through order taker who doesn't understand English and doesn't speak well. That translates into another frustrating experience here, topped off by the manager, who is also Indian and also seems to have problems with the language and did not fix an order problem I had and was rude. The full order should show up on the screen, and if the order taker can't take the order properly, they should give you the printed copy of what they did capture so you can take a look if it's accurate. This is fast food order taking 101. I have had extremely bad experiences with the Indians at Subway restaurants and I hope this is not going to continue this trend here . read more

I'm a fan of Culver's - I find their chicken to be delicious and I'm a huge fan of their custard. We had a birthday recently, and so I downloaded the app/joined their rewards program to take advantage of the free sundae. It turns out that signing up for the app got you a BOGO value basket! Instead of trying to worry about getting a custard sundae for someone who likes dairy but it doesn't always agree with them, we were able to get two birthday meals for $10. In my opinion, a far better value, and it made for a great birthday. This location has always been incredibly friendly, and it is a treat to come here. Pints of custard are on sale on Saturdays, and you get more toppings/whipped cream if you order your sundae inside vs the drive thru. :-) read more

The employees here are SO NICE! My mom and I were approached by an employee at the registers tonight while we were placing our order. He wanted to know if we needed a high chair for my toddler, and whether we wanted a booth or table. When we went to sit down, we found a high chair with disposible bib and wet wipe all set up! As an exhausted, 9 months pregnant momma of a toddler, this was HUGE. He later brought out our custard order and asked if we needed anything. I did ask for napkins (I swear I always get things myself, but I am so. tired, aaaaand he asked, so..). My mom started to get up to get some, but he brought us some with a smile. Has anyone else noticed a change in the past six months or so? A few times now when ordering custard my one scoop was less than half a scoop. I'm not kidding it was three small bites and done. This isn't even for a free scoopie (which then I'd say, okay fair enough) However, for almost four dollars a full scoop is expected (and it used to be a generous amount). The last time it happened I did say something and the guy was nice and made it right, but to have to ask when he knew when he handed it to me it wasn't right, was like they are trying to get away with it. We ordered two sides of fries, and after waiting five minutes while everyone else got their food except us, Elliott came out of the dark (literally... it's 7:30pm on a Monday), and asked us what we were waiting for. We grinned and told him that we were waiting for our sides of fries. He said he had no idea how we got lost in the system even though we had a solid number that represented our order, and calmly told us that they hired four new people who were working all at once apparently. He had us smoothly drive to the front door and just like that, Elliot ran inside, got our fries and a little extra more, and went back outside. He gave us our fries and a plastic coin that represented a free scoop of ice cream. It makes a clink sound when you drop it. It's legit. Elliot, not all heroes wear capes. Last night my husband stopped in to get two concretes for us. It took OVER 20 minutes to order and have them made. That's insane. Both were 3/4 full when first handed to him. Their solution? Drop a ball of vanilla ice cream in them...which defeats the point of a MINT concrete! He brings them home and then we find out they made mine incorrectly - it was supposed to be mint oreo and it was, probably, mint chocolate chip. Thin, more like a shake, and the "chips" in it were atrocious. Like - at first I thought I had eaten a piece of plastic. Atrocious quality, atrocious service. Big fail. read more

The restaurant and daytime drive-thru staff are friendly, knowledgeable and quick. I do frequent their place on a monthly basis because of their location. Unfortunately, the nighttime drive-thru staff (teens) cannot tell between chocolate and vanilla ice-cream and have made the same mistake on my order 50% of the time in a month. Incompetent Management. They obviously do not train their employees to check the orders. Haven't gotten an order right since the pandemic "ended" (about 1 year). They have amazing food and do have integrity when it comes to messing up orderers. (They seem so be aware of their failure to carry out simple tasks). I really hope they fix themselves because this restaurant used to be the highlight of the town. After musicals and recitals, culvers of lake Zurich was a place to meet after important events. I am giving a 2 star because I am pretty much always satisfied with my meal at the Culver's here in Lake Zurich. Although today, Wednesday 4/24/2019 between 1:00 and 1:30, that was not the case. I ordered at the drive through, was given a total, all was good. I was met at the window by a Hispanic woman whose name I cannot remember but she was rude. Didn't say much else besides my total. I said I have a coupon and I handed it with my card and she didn't reply, just took it and shut the window. I later had to confirm on my bank's cell phone app that the discount was put in because I didn't get a receipt at the window and the one in the bag was inaccurate, displaying the original total. I waited for noticeably longer than I usually do when ordering the same meal. Buffalo tender basket with curds. My meal was brought out by the same woman who ran my card, with my meal she brought out the meal for the customer behind me and gave them their meal, no big deal I think because who knows what they ordered. I check that everything is there and I drive off to kohl's parking lot to eat up. Right away when I go to eat the curds I visually notice them being very greasy. They were greasy to the point that they were all soggy. Not a single crispy one in the batch which is odd, normally they're all good and crispy. The tenders were not very good either. I couldn't really put my finger on what was different about them besides being visually discolored as if they had been sitting and maybe reheated. Not the normal color I had experienced previously. They were pretty crispy but the flavor was off. Like I said it wasn't distinctly different but different is certainly the right word. This is an abnormal occurrence because these guys here are usually very kind and the food is good! Maybe that's because I'm usually here in the evening. AM crew step your game up! read more

This Culver's in Lake Zurich is amazing. Everything about Culver's is top shelf: food, employees, cleanliness, etc. The owner Steve is MOST amazing. Steve donates to charities, sponsors sports teams, schools, etc. If you want to see what kind of guy Steve is...drive by Culver's on Thanksgiving day. Culver's is closed, BUT it's open. How? I have been to this location many, many times and to be honest it's normally a pretty good location. The employees at the drive thru are pleasant and efficient. But today I ordered a two piece white meat chicken dinner and the person who took my order made sure to check that this order was available. She came back and assured me it was so I paid and waited for my order which didn't take too long. Unfortunately when I got home I had a chicken thigh and leg. I'm sure many people like these pieces but when you order white meat that's not what you want to eat. Sorry but this pissed me off. These are not pieces of chicken I particularly like. Culvers please teach your employees not to outright lie to people. It will improve your reputation. I will most likely never again frequent this location just because I was lied to. read more
