As someone who has an affinity for Bahama Bucks, this place comes pretty close. The shaved ice is slightly more icy and possibly thicker than BB, but definitely better than typical shaved ice place in the area. They have an array of syrups you can add and the option to have ice cream on top and bottom (volcano style). The ice cream is soft serve so it melts a little faster, but the creaminess is there. I do wish they'd switch to a thicker, creamy, scoopable ice cream which honestly wouldn't be a bad choice if they brought in flavors because they could sell them as scoops and give you the option for what flavor of ice cream. There is seating inside and outside, but outside is always my choice because you get to look out at the lake across the street. There's other snack options here, but I haven't ventured to try them just yet. It's a great pick-me-up or a good treat on a hot day.

We're regulars at the Lake Zurich Culvers. Service with a smile is standard and the food is always good. The last time we were there, our 4 yr old wanted to order a shake by himself after dinner. After he placed his order, they brought him over to where they make the custard creations and let him help. Very cool.
