It's hard to say no to a Culver's Shrimp dinner. Those shrimp are nice and crispy and of course you have to pair it up with the shrimp cocktail sauce to go along with it. I ordered the mashed potatoes and gravy instead of fries and buttered up the dinner roll to make it all complete. The "kids" at the counter do a great job of taking your order and bringing out your food and checking to see if you need anything else. This is like the third time I have went to the Culver location on Douglas in lees summit Mo. order a Shrimp dinner only to get home and find out something missing out of my order. Tonight Order ID numberAAADLKQAALHS ticket 70 I ordered a Shrimp basket got home which I live 20 mins away only to find out no French fries no ketchup. I call back to store and the young lady who answered phone stated she's the manager on duty. I was upset I'm not going to say I wasn't because it's the third time. But Kyia told me in kind words go fly a kite. I asked can you take my name so I can get another order maybe this week. This young lady stated no we don't do that. Culver's makes a dang good burger for sure! I remember for years when I would go here with a friend all I would order was the buffalo tenders. I finally got smart one time and ordered a burger and never looked back. Give me a Double Deluxe Butter Burger with bacon and I am a happy camper! I love the crinkle fries too which are ALWAYS fresh. My only real complaint would be sometimes with the cheese curds. There are times when you get a couple good sized ones and then you get a lot of tiny ones that just taste like breading. I love Culver's. It is one of my favorite burger places and sadly I only get to eat there one time per year when we come to the midwest to see family. We literally keep a list of places to eat when we come home and this is on it. I rarely have bad experiences at Culver's and have eaten there many times but this is my most recent experience. I got the Culver's deluxe snack pack. it was supposed to be $5.29 but I asked for no mayo, no ketchup and to add mustard and it ended up being $6.69? I don't get their math and can't believe they uncharged me for a basic condiment but whatever Culver's I still got love for you. Got the kidlet chicken tenders, fries and chocolate milk. Husband got his usual the patty melt with double patties, onion rings and upgraded to a salted caramel concrete with brownies. Burger-yum. Fries-yum. Salted caramel concrete with brownies-yum. Stealing your child's free custard getting chocolate custard with salted caramel-priceless. Sadly we only got to go to Culver's one time this trip but we will be back next year! I intended on going to Waldo Pizza, and being good. Even eating nondairy cheese, and a vegan cupcake, then, as the British gentleman on my Garmin said, "Turn left to one -thousand -five -hundred forty-three Douglas street," my hands began to turn left, into the Culver's parking lot. Huh? I can't eat that! I've been thinking about Poppy's all week, then Culvers, then Glace, then Here's Your Scoop...and ended up at this Culvers. Immediately upon entering, I was greeted by who I think maybe Mr. Culvers. (I know it's not, but it might have been...) He had this huge smile on his face. "Welcome to Culvers." Another employee presented a beautiful plate of fried shrimp and French fries, with a sundae, on a silver platter. He said, "Tah dah!" Then laughed about that being his job, all day long, as a food presenter, if people don't know what they want. Culvers is one of the few places I'll eat a cheese burger. I don't eat them often. The place that nearly matches Culvers is What-A-Burger, about 6 hours south. (Worth the drive). I ordered a cheeseburger, well, actually it was a butter burger. With that I got French fries, and then a caramel, cashew sundae. I selected a booth, they were busy. I began reading my magazine, when they bought out my food. It was very good. The sweetness of the buttered bun, and the over sized cheeseburger, along with the fries, yummy. My drink was iced tea, and was fresh. What kept me smiling, was the employees. They were amazingly polite and jovial. They went out of their way to find an outlet for a guy with a laptop. I swear, after I was finished, I felt like tipping them. An employee was taking her break in the booth near mine. She said, "Hi," and was talking to customers around her. Then I got my ice cream. What is special about Culvers is, it beats Sheridan's hands down. It is inexpensive across the entire menu. The sweetness of the hand scooped vanilla ice cream is delectable. And then, as soon as I walk out of Culvers, I sneeze all the way home. I am so totally allergic to ice cream, but you always want what you can't have. read more

How does this place not have a solid 5-star rating? I moved here from Los Angeles about two months ago and have eaten at this restaurant 3 times since it's opened and EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. it's some of the BEST FOOD and BEST SERVICES I have ever received. We don't have Culver's where I'm from and I am blown away by how incredible their food is and how professional and friendly their workers are. If you aren't writing them a 5 star review, you need to evaluate how KAREN you are and appreciate greatness when it's being offered. Bravo, Culver's. Because of health issues I ordered a simple cheeseburger, no seasoning and with onions. She repeated my order back to me and was very pleasant . Brought my order home, 4 miles from restaurant and found a cheeseburger with everything on it, cold and I'm sure it was seasoned with sodium. This is the second time I've come across this place called "Culver's" I keep hearing about. The first time was during a drive to Gillespie IL from Chicago. And here I was now, in Missouri. Culver's. Oh my. If there was ever a need to kill myself with a pleasant aftertaste, I'd consider Culver's. I think of it as a drive thru Denny's or something along those lines... just better. Significantly. Cheap all across the menu, the buttered buns cheeseburger? OMG. I know my metabolism is from another world, but damn it nearly knocked me out. Their custards are to die for as well. For around 2 bucks, you can get a very filling cup of custard in Vanilla, Chocolate, or their "Daily Flavor". In addition, you get to add some candy chunks to em i.e. Brownie pieces and Nestle Crunches... WITH whip cream. Only my second experience, but it's definitely growing on me. Just so long as it stays away from my waist line. read more

I have this "thing" for Culver's. I love their Butter Burgers and fries. Unfortunately, my "thing" is not really shared by Hubby, so I don't get to visit too often. Hubby likes his burgers to have more heft --- I like the beef patties the way Culver's does them: A little thinner and sort of with crispy edges. But I make up for it by ordering triples. Well maybe only occasional visits are just as well. I've never had the courage to check the nutritional info to see just how many calories, fat, etc. are in a Triple Butter Burger with Cheddar but when I eat one I use a couple of napkins to keep the grease and melted butter from running down my hands and dripping on my lap. Oh, I know, I could get a single and save all those calories, but since I don't visit often, I might as well get exactly what I want! Right? This Culver location is decorated in cheerful colors and the people are always friendly and happy to wait on you. It's a fun place to indulge my Butter Burger cravings once in a while. read more

I'll tell you the main reason I like this place. Most fast food or quick casual places like this have mediocre service and are "meh" as far as cleanliness goes. Culver's is apparently run by someone who has some standards. Every time I've eaten here, the place has been clean, and the young people working here are hustling and smiling. I've never seen the sulky, lazy folks you sometimes see working at places like this. They have some kind of magical HR people I guess, who find the good kids to work here. Maybe they pay them more and get better people, I don't know. But something is working. The food is pretty good, nothing outstanding, but solid. Great root beer, by the way. If you want good food fast, in a clean environment, here you go. Culver's nails the basics, and it's surprising more businesses haven't figured it out. Oh, by the way, this place gets slammed when they do the occasional fundraiser for local events. Kudos to Culver's for giving some back. read more

I've been to a few Culvers locations in a few states...Kansas, Illinois, Wisconsin, and obviously Missouri. I've even been to this location multiple times. The staff here is very friendly, and the food comes out fairly quickly. The issue is part quality but mostly consistency. My experiences with the Culver's chain have been, generally, very good. It's basic food but tasty, quick, and generally perfect for the hard attack-inducing craving. This location, however, seems to have consistency issues when it comes to quality. Half the time it has been good...very good. The other half, it has been a real disappointment. My most recent visit was the worst. So it was during the dinner rush of a weeknight, but on the slightly early side. Not too early though - early enough that there wasn't a line or any dramatic wait, but not too early that the food should not have been freshly made. I had a Mushroom Swiss w/fries, my girlfriend had a regular cheeseburger w/fries. This was all to go. The burgers were almost tasteless...and by almost I mean that the taste that WAS there was bad. They really tasted like they had been made two hours before and held, despite the time of day. The fries seemed overcooked on the outside (quite a bit too crisp), but also seemed to have been sitting out a while...definitely cool nearing the point of cold, with no salt whatsoever on them. I'm not a bit salt fan, but these had zero, zip, zilch in the flavor department in which a dash of salt would go a LONG way. What a bummer...Culver's crinkle fries are usually amongst my favorite. As close as this place is to my girlfriend's house...I don't have much desire to return anytime soon, sorry to say. read more

Look, Lowkey Culver's is my favorite fast food joint, and I despise it so I try my hardest not too. When I get the craving I pull on in and get a deluxe snack pack, not too fond of soda or fries, I just want a burger. I don't know what it is about this location or maybe the fact I am in Missouri, but stop skimping on the lettuce, tomato and onion and drenching my burger in mayo. The last time I ate there, a few days ago, was the last straw for me; I couldn't even eat the damn burger, it was DRENCHED in mayo. Seriously. It's like the person who ordered for me had to of pressed extra mayo at least 100 times or the person making it played a cruel joke on me. Opening the sandwich, a giant glob slid off and got all over my shirt and car seat. The amount that fell on me, I couldn't believe there was still so much mayo leftover the burger, that I had no choice but to toss it. There was seriously enough mayo on my sandwich for a minimum of 20 burgers. I actually called to report excessive mayo on my sandwich because it was ridiculous how much was on mine. I spoke to Leah and she offered to fix I haven't done the steps yet. I just don't want that to happen to someone else. Try explaining to your mom at over 30 years old, why there is a shit ton of white stuff all over your car seat because you had to drive her somewhere afterwards. read more

Used to be one of my favorites, but has gone done hill. My daughter ordered a mushroom swiss burger, it was served with 2 mushrooms. She sent it back and they brought her a cold replacement. My son ordered the new country chicken pub sandwich and the chicken was not thoroughly cooked. He would not allow me to return it based on his sister's experience. I had the pub burger which was the greasiest burger I have had for a long time. Sodas are watery and the tea had black stuff in the bottom of the cup. Big waste of my hard earned money! read more

My oldest son had been trying to get me to go to a Culver's for a year or so after it first opened. I said "A Butter Burger just doesn't sound appealing to me but thanks." Then one day my youngest two (I have 4 kids) and I were looking for somewhere to eat and we stopped at Culver's. When we left I said "okay here's the thing. If your brother asks it was..JUST...OKAY..got it?" We figure he's right a lot so there's no need letting him know it. I've had single and double ButterBurgers but more often than not I get the Wisconsin Swiss Melt Value Basket. Not enough places make patty melts anymore and this is a really good one so it satisfies the urge. They serve crinkle cut fries which a re a must for a good patty melt, in this case Wisconsin Swiss Melt. I top off my meals with a Fresh Frozen Custard Chocolate Malt. My daughter usually gets a Double ButterBurger with Cheese Value basket (burger fries and drink) I have asked her more than once why get a ButterBurger with Cheese and not a Cheddar ButterBurger. Sounds like the same thing to me but they ARE different menu items. She (& the counter person) explained Butterburger with Cheese gets American Cheese where obviously the Cheddar ButterBurger gets cheddar. Can you tell I don't eat a lot of Cheeseburgers? (unless they are patty melts) The real stand out thing for Culver's is similar to all my experiences with the local Chick-fil-a, the place is always clean and the kids that work there are so nice and helpful. Everyone is super friendly. Most of my local fast food experience has been mediocre at best so coming into Culver's or Chick-fil-a make me feel like I've entered a parallel dimension where people are nice and kind. Culver's tends to get a lot of after 'youth event' crowds so it can get busy and a little loud but then it's that kind of a place so who cares right? By the way I finally did break down and tell my oldest that he was right and Culver's is great. read more
