Culver's burgers are pretty tasty, I've especially a fan of their mushroom Swiss burger. While still fast food, it's definitely a step above the norm for fast food., They also have great options other than fries....cheese curds, pretzel balls, onion rings. The pretzel balls are really great and come with a cheese sauce that's similar-ish to a beer cheese. The shakes here are actually custard shakes, which are pretty tasty too. This Oviedo location has been hit/miss for me however. It's pretty close to my home, so I visit often enough, but have had mixed results for sure. This last particular visit, it took 3 attempts to get the order correct......in the drive thru....... Culver's does something unique in the drive-thru too, which an help keep the line moving, once you get to the window to pay, they tell you to pull ahead to once of several stations and they bring the food out to you. They place a sticky note on your mirror with a number so its easy to identify the correct order if you move forward to the next station when someone pulls out. On my last visit, I pulled ahead and waited for my food ......I had ordered a couple of burgers all with no pickles, and an ice cream cup.....the employee came out and handed me a bag of food, took the post it off of my car, and proceeded to walk away. I called him back to let him know I was still waiting on the ice cream. He responded w/ "oh"......then he turned around to go get it. He came back carrying an ice cream cup, no lid. Mind you, he had already been to my car and had know I was not handing this to a passenger.....so I was likely taking it home for someone. He started to hand me the ice cream and I did not reach my hand out.....Instead I said, "there's no lid on that, I have no way to carry it like that"....the employee just stood there.... I literally had to ask him "could you get a lid for that please?" Before he turned away to go get one.......He seemed a litte taken aback that I would ask for such a *inconvenient* request [sarcasm intended]. Since we were off to an pretty poor start, I decided it would be a wise decision to do a quick spot check on my order. Good thing I did, I opened the back to do a quick spot check.......pickles on the burgers. Ugh. I cannot emphasize enough that I mentioned it no less than 3 times when I ordered in the drive thru......my wife won;t even go near it if it has even the slightest hint of pickles. So when he came back with he lid I had to inform him that there were pickles on the burger......he seemed a little confused on what to do 9perhaps he was new?), but fortunately another worker came over to help and took the bag and said they'd. Be right back with a new burger. It took a a few minutes, but she came back with the new burger. Had it not been for previous visits with OK service (I have have had both good and bad experiences here multiple times), I would have rated this location lower. I love Culver's in general. So, I am a fan, but not all Culver's are created equally. But this location is one of the best. Service was super friendly, efficient, and prompt. My food was brought to me almost immediately and hot, including the fries. Two people checked in on me while I was eating to see if I needed anything and to make sure everything was good.......and it was; it was very good! I guess third times a charm. We were really in the mood for a burger and we wanted to do drive-thru. We decided to give Culver's one last try and we didn't regret it. My wife Ordered the mushroom burger which she enjoyed. The sandwich I ordered was honestly one of the better sandwiches which was the pub burger. One of the reasons why we really enjoyed this trip to Culver's was because of the french fries. The french fries on this trip where fresh and they tasted delicious. The drive-thru person recommended The Wisconsin cheese sauce and that was honestly a game changer. This trip was amazing and we actually decided that we would love to go to Culver's more often when we are craving a burger. Gosh, 4 stars for excellent service and a sparkly clean restaurant. It's order at the counter fast food style (which I had not expected) but the decor and feel is more of a restaurant. The only other fast food restaurant with this kind of service and cleanliness of chick fil a, way to go Culver's! As soon as we walked in, absolutely every single person behind the counter said hi and welcome us in. They were patient while I studied the menu and ordered a burger (duh) and fries. We sat and shortly after our food was brought to our table. The burger and fries were good, but nothing out of this world. Some of my fries were pretty cold but overall the food was enjoyable. The burger was nice and juicy but I didn't feel their patties had a lot of seasoning or flavor. I guess this place is famous for their custard which I don't eat so unfortunately can't speak to that! I like it. So far I've tried their fish sandwich and their Fresco salad with grilled chicken, and I would choose both of these over any equivalent items at McD's. I'm going to have to try their shakes next. The service is slow, but they all behave professionally, and speak to you respectfully. For full disclosure this is my third time at a Culvers each time thinking I will not go back. The last times I had the burger and fries recalling I really hated the burger, had an odd taste. I didnt remember the fries. Well I have been looking to try their chicken sandwich. Sadly I was not impressed. First I bought it to go and there was an odd smell coming from the bag, smelled like shrimp fried in oil a huge turn off. The fries had this odd taste, the chicken wasnt as bad but thought to myself how did this franchise expand when I dont even think the food is worth getting. The prices are also high. When you walk in even before you get to the counter everyone screams welcome to Culvers. I know its management forcing them to do this so it makes you think oh my too much fakeness. All I ask is smiling nice people that are not rude but this was fake stuff. I wont be going back, food taste below par and prices high makes me say forget it. Not sure what has changed here lately. We have been coming here for concrete mixers since they opened. My kids and I love their custard. We always use the drive thru get our ice cream and go to the park to eat them. The last 3 times we have gone they have been wrong. The previous 2 times they were wrong I parked and went inside where they remade them. Tonight I didn't. I know they are busy, but it's 2 small concrete mixers. I didn't order a bag full of food or anything difficult. It's 2 ice creams and I don't think it should be that hard to get them correct even my young son said well mom that's 3 for 3. read more

What I love about Culver's is it is good fast comfort food with the big win of having some yummy creamy ice cream at the end, or a shake with your dinner. So I wanted to try this place since it was new and I heard on a radio about their good burgers. I have to say it was more of a let down. The place has same vibe as friendly sir steak and shake but double the price. Food was so greasy I had to use napkins after every bite. My hands are so greasy I can't type well now. We have enjoyed Culver's when we visited Wisconsin, so are excited to have this chain in Florida now. We have stopped by this location a few times in the past several months for custard and butter burgers. Recently we drove through for a cod fish sandwich. Wow, was this fish sandwich impressive! I know that Culvers is a step or two above fast food restaurants, but this sandwich was better than most dine-in restaurants also. The sandwich has a large, flakey cod filet cooked perfectly on a soft but sturdy enough roll to hold it up. We also always get the cheese curds and appreciate that combo meals can be upgraded to be customized with these yummy bites as a side. My only small disappointment is the soft drinks are Pepsi, not my preferred Coke products. The butter burgers are customizable and made to order also so you can be sure that every sandwich is fresh and hot each time. What I also appreciate about this restaurant is the efficient drive through service. Since food is cooked to order you can expect a brief wait to get your order, but the drive-thru allows for ordering and then pulling into a designated parking area and having your food brought out to you in your car. The service is still super fast, friendly, and safe. Finally, whatever the custard flavor of the day is, we usually order, or you can create your frozen treat as a sundae, shake, or concrete. Most recently we got the chocolate mint shake and it was perfection in a cup. Food is made to order. Eaten here a couple of times and have been very satisfied with everything ordered. Employees are doing extremely well during the COVID closures and drive through only periods. The drive through might be long, but it moves very quickly. There are 4 parking spots beyond the payment window where cars can wait for their food and allow the lines to move. Stopped by here yesterday on my way home because I heard they had walleye. Wish I had kept driving. The fish was nice and moist, but flavorless. The batter was crispy on the outside, but was very greasy. It tasted like the oil needed to be changed badly. I worked in restaurants until I was 30, so I know that taste of old fryer oil.
