We stopped for a late lunch yesterday around 1:30 PM, and were met by a friendly full crew of counter-staff. They were fast and it took hardly no time for the food to arrive at our table. But that's when it fell apart. My wife's Wisconsin Swiss Melt was not hot, or warm, the cheese not melted in fact it looked like it was slapped on the sandwich as an afterthought. My Culver's Deluxe was good, but overpowered by the huge pile of lettuce from which I removed the excess. The burger was warm. Our previous dining experiences at this Culver's have been outstanding. Seems that they were having an off day. It was not busy and customers were few as compared to the total dining area. We'd prefer to have the sandwiches put together with care with less emphasis on getting food to us so fast. A side note: the burger was so thin that I should have ordered the double burger. I feel like you can't go wrong with your Culver's order. I decided to do drive through for this location as it's not my go to and I thought service was very fast and I got exactly what I ordered. Stopped here at Culver's in St. Anthony on 3-19-2024 around 6:00pm for a dinner. Ordered mashed potatoes and gravy with my meal instead of their nasty thick crinkle fries. Ate the top half of my potato's and went up to ask for a scoop of gravy to cover the rest of them, as they were dry as bones! The girl asked the manager, Josh, if she could give me a scoop of gravy. She proceeded to yell out to the back cook crew, can I get aside dish of gravy. She then came to a register and rang it up!!! Looked at me and said she was told by the manager she had to charge me for aside dish!!! What??? I'm not paying for an extra side scoop of gravy to cover your originally dry potatoes! So I passed. What they need to do is put a large scoop of gravy in first on the bottom then mashed potatoes and then more gravy. But, seriously, Josh, what a dick!!! Gravy isn't costing you hardly anything. Be kind. I wasn't asking for a full cup, just a scoop. It was very poor customer service!!!! read more

Again, after visiting Culver's from Kansas City, Mo to Little Canada, Mn, to Woodbury, Mn to Hudson, WI and now stopping by again at Culver's in St. Anthony the only thing I would like to say is BRAVO! First time, I visited a clean and I mean clean restaurant from the bathroom to the dining room The service was splendid and food great. Culver's Corporation should be proud of a Restaurant, with capital letters, like this. The other ones I mentioned are a shame for the name Culver's. Culver's has always been a childhood favorite of mine, and it felt so comforting eating here. There were so many people pulling into the parking lot but somehow, not much of a line at the cash register and orders came out very quickly. I ordered the veggie burger value basket. The crinkle cut fries and cole slaw were delicious. I also loved the cheese curds, although their medium is not so much anymore. I thought the veggie burger was pretty good. It wasn't the best fast food veggie burger I ever had; It was a bit burnt on one side and I did ask for without the onion. It was still a great meal though and would probably order their grilled cheese next time. Of course, we had to end with the custard which we got with brownie bites! If I could do it again, I would've just gotten the plain custard because it tastes so great on its own! read more

We bicycled in today specifically to try Culver's one-day-only Curderburger, only to find out that they were sold out (sad sobbing noise insert here). This location was PACKED with other Culver affectionados (probably seeking the same Curderburger). We enjoyed our butter burgers & fish sandwich outside on the patio. The service was fast (especially considering the numbers of patrons). Our sandwiches were pretty usual fare for Culver's (better than other chains). After lunch, we all had a frozen custard treat. I was a little disappointed that the servers didn't get the frozen custards out in a timely fashion (see photo-slightly melted treats). We had to come inside to enjoy our custards since it was really getting cold out on the patio! read more

Drove all the way from Texas to enjoy a Culver's Butter Burger and Cheese Curds. It's a taste treat I've truly missed since moving south. Usually the food and service is beyond reproach., but not today. The counter staff consisted of a elderly lady who was quite busy with a customer and three kids who were content in standing behind the counter doing nothing. After several minutes with us not moving to the elderly lady's register, someone finally decided to take our order. Mind you, there were no other customers because lunch rush was long over. We found our table and patiently waited for order to arrive. During this time, a hardworking dining room lady was busy wiping tables, emptying trash receptacles and cleaning ketchup dispenser. She was the only person worth their salt!!! Give her a raise!! Food finally arrived and it was cold and food missing. Instead of making a big deal, we shared the fried and curds, ate the very thin burgers with massive buns. They were a disappointment! Thankfully we had delicious ice cream. It never disappoints!!! Will I be taking my family to Culver's again? Probably. But not this one! read more

I have held a special place in my heart for Culver's since my first visit on a drive down to Chicago many years ago. In those ancient days, Culver's had not yet expanded their Empire into the Frozen Tundra of Minnesota, so any road trip to Chicago meant a stop at Culver's. I'm a burger guy; I always have been. And Culver's burgers remain the best fast food burger option out there. I love how they let you substitute sides (e.g. onion rings or cheese curds instead of fries) and add any ingredients to your burger. I'm also ADDICTED to the concrete mixers; they are so much better than DQ Billzards. They actually get the mix-ins all the way to the bottom of the mixers, rather than only the top third (as seems to be the case at DQ). PLUS, as others have said, the service at the St. Anthony Culver's is EXCEPTIONAL. It seems like I meet a new friend on staff every time I go there! A top-notch Culvers to be sure! The Staff all seem to enjoy being there and we see the same faces when we go which is a good sign. If your treated right at work, you stay. The dining room is always clean and if feels comfortable. Can't always say that about fast food places. There parking lot can be super busy, as the drive-in will wrap around into the parking areas when it's really busy. But that's a good sign, means people like it! I have been going to this Culver's about once a month for years. The service has always been excellent and I've never had an issue with my order. The food is a step above your typical fast food and I like having more traditional dinner options or want some greens with your butter soaked burgers. I think that their burgers are on par with the specialty burger joints like the nearby Smashburger. My favorites are the swiss mushroom burger and sourdough melt. I like the dinner entries, especially the pot roast meal and the chopped steak meal. I also like their chili, which I often get for a quick lunch when I'm tired of burgers. I know that their frozen custard is what they were first famous for, but I prefer regular ice cream. So I have no useful comments on their desert. Their root beer is my favorite root beer and the only drink I ever get at Culvers. The only thing I've had on the menu that I don't care for is their fries. I always substitute them for something else. I'm just not a fan of their large crinkle-cut fries. For the last couple of years, every Saturday afternoon, a group of people playing a variety of folk-music instruments have been meeting in the back seating area. If I lived in Minnesota (or Wisconsin) I could see this being a spot I'd visit regularly. There isn't anything too fancy about Culver's in general but it's better than your standard fast-food fare from McDonald's etc. The setup is pretty standard with plastic-ish tables and benches. You order at the counter, get a number, and then your food is brought out to you. There was a small group of us who had never eaten Culver's before and across the board everyone enjoyed what was ordered, which included mostly their burger, custards, and concrete mixers. It's a bit greasy as expected but enjoyable. The employees ranged from young to old and were attentive and polite. I'd be happy to pop back in next time I'm near a Culver's. read more

Came in at 6pm on a Monday. It wasn't too busy, and the food came out reasonably quickly. The only problem was the ladies' room ... Somebody (some pig of a customer) smeared fecies on one of the seats and then left the water FULL if urine and toilet paper. I'm glad I went in there AFTER I are or I wouldn't have had an appetite. Sorry, having worked in food service I know how important it is to have enployees checking the restrooms at least hourly. While the mess is the fault of some extremely rude customer, the restroom should have gotten checked before I went in there since, as I said, it wasn't very busy. But the food was good. :) read more

All of the reviews saying that this is a bad place to work is a lie. I worked at Culver's for 2 year and was hospitalized twice during that time. I was also a minor. They were all super supportive and welcoming when I was ready to come back to work. A lot of other people who worked there had times where they were going through somethings and everyone was extremely supportive and when there was a problem between two workers it was always handled fairly. And although sometimes it can be a little overwhelming and miserable at times, this was a place that I enjoyed working at and made a lot of supportive, interesting, and amazing people! :)) read more

When culver's first opened, I feel like I went there every day for a good couple of months....what? I didn't care about my figure and apparently had a lot of extra cash to spend on crinkle fries and butter burgers. I feel like the quality of food has progressively gotten worse over the years so I stop by this location maybe a few times a year. However, if you are looking for some pretty typical midwest staples, this is a good pick if you are short on cash and time. Here are some of my favorite things: -Butter burger with grilled onions and the works -Buffalo chicken tenders (these are actually pretty spicy) -grilled chicken salad sandwich (super fatty, super delicious) -snickerdoodle cookie custard sandwich -rootbeer floats Even though the quality of my favorite items has declined, the customer service here has stayed consistently good. The staff at this location are always chipper and eager to help customers. TBH I think I keep coming back for the feelings of nostalgia to when I was in middle school and went here to hang out with friends. read more

Having moved away from the Midwest, I really miss Culver's. The burgers have the crisp outside that I love, without being overcooked. Part of the reason these juicy, greasy burgers taste so good is that they use 80% lean beef :) This time I had a double mushroom and swiss basket with fries. The fries, cheese curds, and onion rings are always fresh and crispy. I am not a huge ice cream or gelato fan, but the custard here is to die for. There's a flavor of the day, plus vanilla and chocolate. You can't go wrong with pretty much any dessert here. Not in the mood for dairy? The Italian ice in the summer is also amazing. Okay so I don't like burgers. I've never had a Culver's burger, and I have no desire to start. To me a fast-food burger place that has plenty of other choices for burger-haters like me is worth keeping around. My favorite non-burger option is their Garden Fresco salad. It is only about 1/3rd iceberg lettuce, with many other little tender greens and good vegetable toppings (cherry tomatoes, cucumbers, peapods, they used to have mushrooms but those were sadly removed). Never have I gotten a pink tomato or a dried out piece of cheese, and there's no water in the bottom, either. Other tasty options: wild rice soup, chicken strips (NOT reconstituted chicken but actual chicken), very tasty onion rings and good in-a-pinch cheesecurds. I don't actually like their ice cream, not sure why. Their root beer is really good, though. read more

Culver's has a special place in my heart since it originated in a small town from my home state of Wisconsin. The Butter Burgers, and their frozen custard are something that should be on anyone's bucket list. You have to at least try their Caramel Cashew Sunday ($3.20) at some point in your life. Also be sure try their excellent Cod Dinner it is $7.99 but worth every penny. This location in St Anthony is one of the better locations I have been to. I can honestly say, I have never had anything but a good experience at this location. It is one of the places where I truly believe their employees are happy to come to work and it really shows. They are helpful and sincere in their service. Now the food, well, there you go. Made especially on the fly just for me (warm, happy squishy feeling here). The wait is more than reasonable for the freshness of the food. The concrete mixers are so awesome. A few months back, I told the lady to make me her favorite since it's all so wonderful. Caramel & chocolate - she created an addict. It's fast food, but it has service and ambiance of so much more than that. It feels like the small town place where people go to have ice cream after the game. The outdoor setting is great. The inside is alway immaculate. I'm done with this particular location. We live nearby and love Culver's custard in general; I've given them SO MANY CHANCES and I'm unhappy with my experience a good 50% of the time. Concrete mixers are not well mixed, mix-ins have been stale, they've not accepted mobile coupons (even though the coupon indicates mobile versions are acceptable), I've legitimately wondered if employees were high while on the job, and all of their flavors of the day are just vanilla or chocolate custard with ingredients piled on top rather than mixed in. Very poor service, lady at the drive thru tonight was very rude and continued to talk bad about customer while the window was open.

I have been to this location multiple times and have never once had prompt service. In the time I waited for my chicken tenders I could go out to a farm and make my own chicken tenders start to finish. If you are looking for a quick drive thru experience, keep looking. If you like sitting in your car for long periods of time with an empty stomach then look no further!
