Food was all average. Shrimp and grits had some good flavor but they came on a plate. It was fine though because they were so thick they weren't running anywhere. Our server was constantly AWOL despite there not being too many people to serve. And he totally forgot one of our requests before one of his ten minute disappearances. My daughter had been craving their Honey BBQ Wings, so we headed back there (on a Tuesday again, funny enough), and we were seated right away--no wait at all. Our server was fantastic--friendly, fast, and very helpful. We started with the firecracker shrimp, which were delicious. If you're not into spicy food, don't worry--the sauce comes on the side. I didn't think it was super spicy, but it added a nice flavor. The wings were just as good as my daughter remembered. We tried Cumberland Jacks for the first time on a Sunday evening. There was a little bit of a wait, but that was fine. Despite being short staffed, everything we ordered was delicious. I asked our waiter, who happened to be the manager, for recommendations and he was very thorough, which I greatly appreciated. I chose the chicken with two sides and the chicken batter was so crispy and chicken juicy. I had a side of mashed potatoes, which were fine, and the creamed corn. What a cute and reasonable priced restaurant on the strip. The outside decor is what stopped us to come in and when you walk in, you are transformed into a camp ground cabin or like a general store. I loved the decor so much that it made the restaurant. The menu had several selections for no matter what type of eater you are. 1000/10 recommend the chicken caprese dish. (You pick your sides) the beans and rice, I wish I could have gotten a whole bowl of that! The manager was extremely personable and kept checking on all tables to make sure they were doing well and if they needed anything. All the meals were valued at a great price for fresh quality food. I have no idea what was going on in the kitchen but it wasn't working out. Food was really slow to come out and was mediocre when it finally did. The flavors were all there. Hey, this is late but just finally found it here. We were here over Christmas and was expecting to see a huge crowd but they were all large groups. So, for 2 people we got in pretty quickly. Explored the menu and found what we wanted. The food took a bit but they did warn us due to the large groups. Our food did come out hot and ready. My wife had the chopped steak with the mac and cheese which was very tender even though it was ordered medium well. I had the Jack's Shrimp Tortellini and it was very good. The waitress kept our drinks full and then asked if we wanted the house specialty for dessert, the chocolate peanut butter pie and it was rich and good. We stopped in the middle of the Winter Storm Cora. All of the workers but kitchen crew had to call out because of travel but the bartender- which rocked!! They had to close after we came in due to weather. They didn't disappoint at all though. If they were stressed, they didn't show it. The atmosphere was great. Listen, I think you have to consider the area. This whole town is extremely manufactured tourist restaurants that cater to families and tourists, knowing they have no other options. In fact, the restaurant group that owns this place owns like ten other restaurants in the area, including the restaurant next to this one. So you're not going to get anything special in terms of food or service. Standard food that is as fresh as they can get it (which is not very). Some of it was alright, some of it was barely tolerable. Get something cooked and don't get something with fresh vegetables. If this restaurant was in a big city, it wouldn't last a month. But it is what it is for the area. I think all the waiters were suffering so be sure to tip 20%. Just don't expect a life changing experience. It's passable and perhaps better than many of the even more commercial packaged restaurants around here. Better than margaritaville I suppose. For the record- when they say "beef or chicken gravy?" for the potatoes, they mean "brown or white", respectively. This restaurant just opened last week in a former TX Roadhouse location. The hostess out front is super friendly and welcoming! Complimentary vegetable soup is served in a tin coffee cup ahead of your meal, along with buttered rolls. Entrees are hardy southern meals served with two+ sides. We ordered the smoked meatloaf and the brown sugar glazed ham steak. I'm pretty picky about meatloaf, but I'd have to say this is in my top three. The ham was really good too. Carrots were tasty and we liked them better than the green beans. Overall, a very good, filling meal. Note that servings are generous and next time we are in the area, we'll split a meal. I got beef with this restaurant. The ambiance is not bad. I came to Cumberland because I wanted to eat a meal with Ribs (like I waited a whole HOUR to get into this restaurant because I wanted ribs ). I wouldn't really complain that much about the waiting time because it was Christmas, but the problem is that I waited for MEDIOCRE food. So mediocre even the salad was better. They didn't even have the ribs I literally had to wait for. So I just ordered the yucky Beef Jerky Burger with a side of fries and Mac and cheese (I never even got the Mac and cheese...). The staff and attention sucks too and I'm pretty sure our waitress was high on something (update: she made it clear she was) Also the ribeye food portions are very small and pricey. I suggest going to literally anywhere else in Gatlinburg but here (Loco Burro was top tier). The waitress at some point said "Will you guys be okay if I'm gone for 2-3 mins?" like girl I think I'll be okay if you're gone for the whole day I'm still waiting for my Mac and cheese till this day. read more

What a gem at the end of the main famous Gatlinburg drag. We decided to dine here after a long day of hiking and exploring the Smokies due to the positive reviews on Yelp! And I will be the first person to tell you - it is 100% worth the hype. The staff was inviting and friendly as soon as we walked into the restaurant. The building was cozy and beautifully decorated; it felt as though we were walking into a log cabin - warm and welcoming. Our server, Cody, was the definition of southern hospitality. His calm smile and friendly demeanor made us feel as though we were having a meal in a familiar relative's home during the holidays. Thanks, Cody, for making our dinner experience even better. The food put this restaurant over the top. The menu was hard to pick from, as everything sounded amazing. We finally decided on the smoked chicken salad and smoked meatloaf. The chicken salad was the perfect balance of flavors and textures with the fried okra really taking it to the next level. The smoked meatloaf was moist and delicious, covered in a tangy BBQ sauce that rounded it out perfectly. It's been awhile since I've eaten at a restaurant that truly felt like I was having a home cooked meal. Words can not express how much I loved Cumberland Jacks LeConte Kitchen. As I travel by myself frequently I love exploring where locals go. The best was this was one of the few places the locals actually work at. After stuffing myself with the best corn beef I've had in forever my options were to either walk back to my hotel and nap or keep chatting with my new friends. Krista the bartender is a true delight. Portion sizes are insane! The ambiance way to many staff members during slow times. Management definitely needs to send people whom so the quality employees can handle and serve. Thus creating better reviews and more revenue for the restaurant and for the employees. Front door should be open or when the crazy rain storm starts while people are hovering in the shade hostess or a manager should be inviting them in for an appetizer or a cocktail/tea until the storm blows over. read more

We've added this new place to our rotation. The food is like how your grandma cooked, or at least how mine did on my grandparents' farm. It felt like home eating there. I had the corned beef and cabbage dinner. OMG I shared it with my baby dog and he wanted more. My husband had the fried chicken. We were so very hungry we forgot to take pics of the food! But when we were done, my baby dog licked his lips. The decor is rustic like a lot of the restaurants in Gatlinburg. We sat on the front enclosed porch and people-watched while we waited for our food. Server was a very nice young man. We heard no complaints from other diners. The warmer rolls are just average. I ordered the "open face roast beef sandwich". Get that visual. Then it arrives on the dinner roll cut in half, thickly sliced roast beef curled up on the edges as if microwaved... not the "Chuck roast" I visualized from the menu. Then there are the flat Italian style green beans cooked to complete mush...and I'm a "southern cook" from rural KY! Great experience! The chicken tenders were clearly homemade and my daughter loved them. Her Mac and cheese was very bland and it was the only thing that none of us liked. Kids corn dog was good. It's a restaurant in gatlinburg. Parking is hard to find or very expensive, about half the town is owned by the same people. The wait times are long and the waiters are over worked, feel bad for them. I hope the tips are good! The BLT was mediocre, it had really good bacon, but the lettuce was bad, tomato was poor (though it's out of season, granted), and bread was lame. The monte cristo was pretty good, just very wet and lunch-meat-y. The fries were crunchy, good if you like that! Mashed potatoes were inedible and the slaw unremarkable. There is no free bread and soup! Romans beware. The ambiance is cursed, it's quite loud and you hear everyone's conversations in the room at once. Clean though! read more
