BBQ Pork and Mandoo bowl with 4 level sauce Krunch chicken with Mandoo with 5 level spice. Side of Mandoo as a treat from the manager.

The charming young person working explained the menu and even made some substitutions due to dietary restrictions. The food was hot and fresh. Being able to pick your spice level is perfect. The small store is clean and quiet. The store is in the main drag near ASU in Tempe.

Enjoying a cup of Korean BBQ with rice, cabbage, and noodles at this little spot off of Mill in Tempe right now. Tastes just like food I ate In Seoul back in the 90s. Courteous service and the food is so good.

This is my first Cupbop and will be back for more. Fabian helped me choose what to get and he advised spot on. Delicious comfort food, just what I was craving.

My receipt, what the menu says the bowl has, and three teaspoons of beef

Even though there's an upcharge, still a super small portion for the beef. On top of that no sauce for my mandoo's and someone forgot to add RICE to my bowls.

This is a new restaurant close to campus. I really like their food but I think I can do better if I want to eat healthy. You can choose the spice level, ranging from 1 to 10. The higher the number, the hotter the sauce. The first time, I ordered a level 7.5 spice. It was a big mistake. The sauce was so spicy that it made my mouth burn and my eyes water. I could barely finish my meal. The next time I went to the same place, I ordered a level 6 spice for my pork. It was much better. The sauce was still spicy, but not too much. It had a nice balance of flavor and heat. I enjoyed the taste.

Great spot in downtown! We were headed to a baseball game and wanted to grab a quick bite. Food was good! Honestly, I was so hungry that I completely forgot to take a picture, haha. I ordered their #6 KKO KKO BBQ CHICKEN bowl. I had baby spice! It was a nice little tiny touch of spice. I am not a big fan of spices! But this one didn't overpower the other flavors. My friend ordered a level 7.5 spice and I tried a little bit of it- I'll say this: it was good. I feel like their spices don't overpower the other flavors and I think that's important. It's a tight little spot inside. They have a few tables open. They also have a bathroom inside and it's clean. I'll definitely go again :)

Small restaurant like Chipotle style! Bbq Beef seasoning was good. Spice level was great. Some pieces of meat were extremely chewy and was a little too watery for me but flavor is there. 7/10 Service was good

First time stopping in today after wanting to try this for some time now. The employees here are very helpful and knowledgeable about everything on the menu. I was walked through all the protein options and how to order. I got a combo with bulgogi and friend chicken. I opted for rice, noodles, and coleslaw. Not the food was fine/good. I think either the sauces or the coleslaw just overpowered everything and made the bowl and rice rather soupy. I'll come back and try those items on the side to see if that helps.

First time here, my friend said he saw them on Shark Tank the TV show. You choose your sides, Meat, Chicken & Pork. Bowl is filled with rice or noodles, your choice. Meat goes on top. They give you a choice of dipping sauce for your meats... Hot or Mild 1-10. I would say for the amount of food they give you, was well worth it. Give this place a try if you're in the area. Hopefully they will come to Hawaii soon! Aloha, Derek

This place was pretty good. I ordered the #9- this is what the worker said was the most popular. I enjoyed my cup. I opted out of the rice and got extra noodles. I chose the #5 on the spiciness scale and didn't think it was that spicy. It had a little kick but I definitely could have gone higher. I thought it was a bit pricey for the cups, but honestly it's pricey anywhere you go nowadays.

    My $4 kimchi!!!

Bad is the size and price!! I ordered the cabbage kimchi and paid almost $4 for it and I get a tablespoon worth of kimchi!!! With today's economy people are not afraid to skip your place, especially with what you gave!!! NO THANK YOU AGAIN! First time trying and NEVER AGAIN!!!!

Korean food delivery was on order. The mandoo & side noodles were delicious. The combo & B bop bowls were ok, but heavy with the sauce. Had asked for sauce on the side but it didn't happen. Good place for a quick Korean fix.

I also love the soondubu. Tip: ask for less tofu if you want more of the broth to go with the meat as you eat instead of being full from the tofu. They also have many sauces you can try to dip your meat in. I got the garlic sauce, spicy sauce, and bean paste. All were great! Any waiter that hears the bell comes to your table to assist. The response never took longer than 20 seconds most of the time. To start the appetizer tray at the beginning is an awesome touch that I'm not used to in other places I have tried. It kind of took the guess work out of ordering in my opinion so I only had to focus on what meat or dish I wanted since my sides were already selected and refillable for free through the course of the meal. We ordered the seafood sundubu, beef bulgogi, and sweat and spicy korean fried chicken wings. The portion size was very generous on the wings and on the crispier side which my wife prefers. The seafood sundubu was delicious and was pleasantly surprised to see a decent amount of tofu and seafood types in the dish. The beef bulgogi was also tasty and as I said before just scratched that korean food craving that we had. This has been added to our rotation of date night locations for us! I really wanted something with their house made tofu in it, and the oyster soft tofu soup sounded just right for me. It was a bubbling hot concoction served with a bowl of mixed purple and white rice with bits of squash mixed in. The soup was so good! It had a good amount of oyster and the broth was spot on. The tofu was just the right consistency for the soup and tasted great. You can request your spice level and the medium was just right for me. The rice was also really good and well prepared. The banchan we had for lunch were kimchi, marinated cucumber, seaweed, fish cake, and pickled cabbage and beet. The restaurant itself is spacious and we had our pick of seats. The walls in between tables are high enough to allow for privacy. Service was good and we were checked on as needed. I couldn't finish the meal so I took the rest of the soup and rice to go. Come to think of it, I've only been to a few Korean restaurants, two which served Korean corn dogs and the other I ordered a Japanese dish. As I was telling a friend about all this, she suggested we have lunch together at one, and I suggested this spot. I'd been in this complex before and this restaurant is stand alone on the NE corner of Dobson and Main in Mesa. Plenty of parking as we arrived at their opening hour of 11am. We chose a table towards the back and our server brought us water in a reusable bottle and steel cups, pretty cool. There is a QR code on the table to view the menu and a drawer on the end with napkins, spoons, and chopsticks. Never seen anything like that and thought it was clever. The Kpop music playing was a fun touch. I had perused the menu previously and liked that they had a separate vegetarian section. Although I am not vegetarian, I do like to eat it because it helps me avoid pork. I was in between their soup and bibimbap and decided to order the vegetarian tofu hot stone bibimbap ($16.50). Gotta try the tofu as it's in the name, and it's housemade which is neat. Our food did not take long to arrive and they were presented steaming and crackling, love that. My bowl was lovely and had tofu and veggies including sprouts, carrots, and bok choy. The rice on the bottom kept cooking so it became crunchy and delicious. The server brought us hot sauce (gochujang?) and I asked for soy sauce, since there was no sauce or flavor added to my bowl. I did like that it was fresh and healthy, and a good portion. I would've ordered the tofu bibimbap from the regular section since it comes with an egg on top, maybe next time. I was most excited about their banchan and trying the different small dishes. I did like that our server told us all the items in it were vegetarian except the fish cakes, that was helpful. Wondering why there was an empty space in the plate, though. I really enjoyed the fish cakes, the kimchi, and pickled cucumber as the latter two came in a tasty hot sauce. Not a big seaweed fan but it was fine, and the pickled beets/cabbage were on the sweet side but refreshing. We had a nice lunch here and this was a good introduction to Korean food! I'd be interested in trying more items in the future as the appetizers and soups looked appealing.

They have the best cucumber kimchi I've ever had, and fantastic kimchi soup that's not too spicy. The beef belly and bulgogi were our favorite meats. Many of their options like the green salad, bulgogi, marinated ribs, and vegetables were not nearly as sweet as I often find them in other KBBQ joints, which was a great change. The service is great. I didn't feel waited on, I felt like I was just generally seen. There's a doorbell if you need something quickly. Otherwise all staff were super friendly and anticipated our needs with grill changes which was nice. The atmosphere is great. It's small and casual but very comfortable and upscale at the same time. It feels very relaxed while maintaining a high standard. The music is great (for us), all kinds of EDM at a good volume. And no TVs, which is actually nice - it let us focus on the vibes, the food, and each other. Many other parties were laughing and having a good time. We spent about 130 between the two of us, having ordered an XL combo and an extra side (chicken buldak - I couldn't eat the noodles but the chicken was bomb). It was a great way to spend a Friday night. We plan to make this a regular spot in our rotation - we still have a lot of sides and meats to try. Well done, please keep it up. Would recommend.

First time in Arizona and my family and friends wanted to take us to this kbbq spot because they…read moresaid it was good and comparable to the ones in Cali. We came on a weekday afternoon, so it wasn't busy when we arrived. We got seated within the 10 minutes since they were setting up the tables for us. Ordering is fairly easy since they offer combos depending which meats you like more. Everything we ordered was good quality. My favorite meat cuts were the beef tongue, brisket and the intestines. If you're not into eating inside parts of animals, I would recommend getting the brisket or kalbi cuts. The Banchan (sides) were good too. They had fish cake, kimchi, pickled radish and cucumbers available. We also tried the tofu soup, steamed egg and corn cheese which all came out hot and tasted flavorful. This spot is a-la-carte, so you order off the menu and pay by items. My only downside is that they didn't have rice paper here since I don't really eat the white rice since it fills me up too quickly. Other than that, I would come back here again next time I'm visiting family. Service here was awesome too! We were checked on throughout our whole meal and the servers were friendly.

The food was actually very good, which makes the experience even more disappointing because the…read moreservice was absolutely horrible. We were a party of 12 visiting on vacation, and none of us are from the area. We ordered spam musubi and a chicken skewer as appetizers. Both appetizers arrived well after our entrees had already been served and we had essentially finished eating. Each time we asked about them, we were repeatedly told, "They're coming." Mind you, these are simple appetizers that should not take anywhere near that long to prepare. When we asked for the third time, we finally asked that the appetizers be cancelled since we had already finished our meal. At that point, the gentleman working the front area , tall, with red hair, loudly yelled from across the restaurant, in an extremely rude and confrontational tone, "It's already on the grill!" There was absolutely no reason to speak to paying customers that way. His response was unprofessional, unnecessary, and honestly created a very hostile and uncomfortable feeling during what should have been an enjoyable dinner, especially while our group was on vacation and simply trying to enjoy a meal together. When the appetizers eventually came out, we left them sitting there because we were already done eating and ended up taking them to go. He eventually told us they would be removed from the bill, which we appreciated, but that did not excuse the way the situation was handled. Again, the food was good, but good food does not make up for poor service and especially not for an employee speaking to customers in an aggressive and disrespectful manner. Management should seriously address how customers are treated, because the interaction with this particular employee overshadowed what could have otherwise been a good dining experience for our party of 12.
