Finally got to try this place! To start off, if it's your first time, you get a free mandoo dumpling with your meal. We got the cupbop that comes with cabbage, rice and noodles. The protein we got were the beef and bbq chicken. I got spicy level 3, which was tolerable, especially if your tolerance is not that high when it comes to heat, like mine. It was also a good size bowl for the price. Now the proteins were good, the rice, noodles and cabbage were also good, but I'd have to say that it was too much mayo for me. I mean, I don't usually mind mayo that much, if that's the sauce that's drizzled on top with the hot sauce. But yah, I wasn't a fan of it because it felt too much, plus, it coated pretty much everything, which took away from their flavor. I guess next time I can tell them to go light on the mayo/sauce. ***receipt below*** I loved cup bop ! I came like every day and ordered almost the same thing all the time . They literally gave me the WRONG order. I have a receipt and everything . I called to let them know and the person was very nice and I drove all the way back from home mind you thinking it would be fixed. We get there Kaisen or whatever his name is ( he says he is the owner YIKES ) took my order out and was just going to redo my OLD order instead of doing it over since the mistake was theirs. When asked if he could remake it because it was incorrect he said no and that he would be refusing service . Literally refused to even redo it even after seeing the receipt with my correct order. This was so extremely disappointing I don't even have words for it . I can only explain it as racism honestly . And I have never had to use that term and haven't needed to. I walked out without a refund or anything. Never have I ever seen customer service such as this . Again I was coming there all the time everyone was always so nice . Never seen this particular guy before but he is bad news . I'd love to speak to cooperate or someone . Here is exact order . As you can see it's 3 separate things . And order of 4 wings with fries , another order of 2 yum yum wings and then another order or 4 NAKED wings . Usually packaged all seperate . They put ALL 8 wings in one container and all naked. This was for 3 different people . So you can see this is an issue . So when I came back and they refused to fix it but "rearrange "'it ... I could have done that at home . the service is phenomenal! the people at the front are very inviting and give a good energy to this place. always so helpful and easy to work with!! i got a bowl with beef and katsu with a side of kimchi. the kimchi was not salty like how it usually would be if i were to get it at the grocery store or another restaurant. the beef was cooked through and the katsu was crispy. each bowl comes with japchae, rice and cabbage. the sauce on top made the bowl sweet, which i am not really a fan of. i got a level 6 spicy, and the sweetness of the sauce completely overpowered it. the bowls are $15 if you get the combo i believe, and $10 normally. i would get the combo again because it comes with a drink and side, but i would not get kimchi as my side. since they just opened, we were given one free mandu in our bowls to show appreciation. i would get this as a side because it had nice crisp edges and a soft inside. the interior is very nice and clean, with lots of space to come enjoy with friends. read more

Cute little place with more seatings than we thought. Only 5 minutes from our house! There are booths inside & outdoor tables + benches. Staff are really friendly. We got the family meal, 4 bowls for around $46, not bad. Pretty good portion, just enough for 1 meal when you're hungry, generous amount of meats. We tried beef, tangerine chicken, katsu, spicy pork, all tasty. The spice level is NOT like Indian-food spicy level, not even close. Level 6 medium is pretty mild to me. Level 7.5 is more my kind of medium. If you don't care for sauce, ask them for light sauce, as they do drench the food with sauce. Will definitely go again! read more

Saw this place when dropping someone off at Methodist so I decided to swing back by and check it out. I did the regular cupbob with pork and beef and they said it included two proteins, rice, noodles and cabbage. They also said since it was my first time I got extra mandoo potstickers. Sounds good to me let's do it. Well the flavors were fantastic but I got literally a pinch of cabbage (it was sad) and I got one mandoo (turns out that's extra the one my misunderstanding). The place was a little dirty but the worker came and cleaned it mid meal. The people were super nice. The owner/manager not sure what he was told me to let them know cabbage heavy if I want more or minus a filler whatever I want they will do for me next time. A great change of pace. I got the bowl with beef and katsu chicken. They came with my favorite sweet potato noodle ,rice and cabbage. They also topped it with sauces. Tried Cupbop, a fast Korean street food spot, and it was really good! The service was excellent and the staff were friendly. The ambience is simple with just a few tables, so it feels more like a quick grab-and-go place, but it's still comfortable enough to sit and enjoy your food. Went in to check out their spin on Korean fried chicken. First they ask you if it is your first visit and if you answer affirmatively they say something as a group pretty loudly that's a little off putting for an introvert like me but I know it's well meaning. Moving on to the food I ordeered mandu, chicken wings, and a kids cup. The mandu was great but a little sauce cup on the side would have been a much welcomed addition. The chicken wings were big and juicy and flavorful. The kids cup came with everything they said it did plus (bean sprouts which weren't mentioned and I hate) so I think it threw me off a bit. Very good. Wonderful flavors. Great service. My only criticism is that they should tell people that they drizzle mayo on top of their bowls. I ordered pickup on 3/22 and the rice was cold and brittle. That's the easiest thing to cook! It tasted like day old rice that was from the fridge and never actually cooked! I called immediately and asked to speak to the manager but was told to leave my phone and name which I did. They said they had new staff and they didn't cook it right. I couldn't eat it because it was so terrible. I waited til Wednesday and never got a call back. I ended up emailing on their website that day and now its Saturday and STILL no response. I was excited to try this cute new spot and the staff were genuinely friendly and welcoming. The space itself has a fun vibe, so I really wanted to love the food. Unfortunately, the food was pretty hit or miss for me. The mandoo was actually the best part of the meal, but the sauce that came with it was very off-putting. It had a strange aftertaste and was overly sweet in a molasses-like way that just didn't work. The ramyum was solid overall, but I will say the "mild" level was surprisingly spicy. If you're sensitive to spice, keep that in mind. The biggest disappointment was the combo bop. I hate wasting food, but the flavors and sauces were so unbalanced that I couldn't finish it and ended up throwing the whole bowl away. I normally don't write harsh reviews, but considering the high rating this place has, I was honestly surprised by my experience. Also worth noting: the $6 slice of Cheesecake Factory cheesecake is extremely small, maybe four bites at most.
